Wheat is the most important cereal crop,and its low production incurs import pressure on the *** fulfills a significant portion of the daily energy requirements of the human *** wheat disease is one of the major factors that result in low production and negatively affects the national ***,timely detection of wheat diseases is necessary for improving *** CNN-based architectures showed tremendous achievement in the image-based classification and prediction of crop ***,these models are computationally expensive and need a large amount of training *** this research,a light weighted modified CNN architecture is proposed that uses eight layers particularly,three convolutional layers,three SoftMax layers,and two flattened layers,to detect wheat diseases *** high-resolution images were collected from the fields in Azad Kashmir(Pakistan)and manually annotated by three human *** convolutional layers use 16,32,and 64 *** filter uses a 3×3 kernel *** strides for all convolutional layers are set to *** this research,three different variants of datasets are *** variants S1-70%:15%:15%,S2-75%:15%:10%,and S3-80%:10%:10%(train:validation:test)are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed *** extensive experiments revealed that the S3 performed better than S1 and S2 datasets with 93%*** experiment also concludes that a more extensive training set with high-resolution images can detect wheat diseases more accurately.

Surface sampling is a powerful technique used in computer graphics and visualization to gather data from 3D surfaces. Surface sampling is a process of collecting visual and tactile information from real world surfaces to serve as references for artistic creations. It allows artists to study and analyze the intricate details of surfaces, such as the roughness of tree bark, the smoothness of a pebble, or the subtle variations in fabric patterns. By examining surfaces up close, artists gain insights into the nuances that make each surface visually and texturally distinct. The solution we've developed operates seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices, utilizing the functionalities of widely used web browsers. It eliminates the need for any software installations. Our achievement is founded on fully open-source solutions, allowing users to explore 3D models without any barriers. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the most critical features of the Internet of Things (IoT) is that it allows a massive number of devices to communicate with each other at the same time, for example (cars, smoke alarms, watches, glasses, web cameras, etc.). Given that they can connect to the Internet, the huge demand to convert systems into smart systems that can be controlled remotely increases the chances of cyber-attacks that threaten security and availability becoming more frequent, severe, and in a different form. Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks have become the most common threats in IoT. These attacks make IoT systems unreliable because complex DDoS attacks cannot be detected by traditional security countermeasures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS). In this research, we proposed a model dedicated to work on prediction and detection of DDoS attacks on networks IoT, where we run this model on a NF-BoT-IoT-v2 dataset, which contains 37,763,497 records divided into five categories (Benign, Reconnaissance, DDoS, DoS, and Theft), and then we process our dataset to be more business friendly so it only has two categories (100,000 records broken down into 23,906 benign attacks and 76,094 DDoS attacks). This study used WEKA and MATLAB tools to perform the classification efficiently and find the most important features through feature selection. We used a decision tree (J48) machine learning classifier, a Naive Bayes (NB) classifier, and a random forest (RF) classifier. Behavior trees (BTs) have been extensively applied in the area of both computer games and robotics, as the control architectures. However, the construction of BTs is labor-expensive, time-consuming, and even impossible as the complexity of task increases. In this work, we propose a formal verification based synthesis method to automatically construct BTs whose behaviors satisfy the given Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) specifications. Our method first explores candidate BTs by a grammar-based Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), then the explored BTs are transformed into Communicating Sequential Processes (CSP) models. After that, we invoke the verifier to check the models’ correctness w.r.t. specifications, and provide feedback based on the verification result for guiding the search process. In today’s technologically-driven era, robotic systems have been integrated into various aspects of our daily lives, handling tasks from household chores to complex industrial applications. With these robotic systems becoming increasingly commonplace in homes, offices, and public spaces, the demand for effective and adaptable motion planning becomes paramount. Traditional motion planning methods, although having made noteworthy progress, still have difficulties with the challenges posed by dynamic environments characterized by unpredictable elements and rapid changes. Recognizing this gap, this paper introduces a novel reinforcement learning-based path planning algorithm specifically designed for dynamic scenarios. Through the integration of Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) reinforcement algorithm, our approach empowers robots to actively chart their paths, adapting in real-time to unforeseen obstacles and shifts in the environment. To validate our methodology, we undertook extensive experiments comparing our approach to established benchmark methods, notably SARSA, A∗, and Regular Reinforcement Learning (RL) (i.e., non PPO-based). The results not only highlight the effectiveness of our proposed solution but also emphasize its potential to reshape how robotic systems navigate complex, ever-evolving environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Efficient, precise, and intuitive navigation in a Virtual Environment (VE) or in desktop Virtual Reality (VR) is critical to improving user experience. This research introduces three navigation designs for physical embodiment inside VE using a computer mouse for multi-browser VE in desktop VR based on navigation possibilities. Navigation is intended for the First-Person Shooter (FPS) perspective: Intuitive Navigation (IntuNav), Edge Shift Navigation (EdgeNav), and Twist Shift Navigation (TwistNav). IntuNav uses mouse x and y coordinate movements to move and rotate the camera. EdgeNav relies on the cursor positioning at the edge of the screen for camera rotation and movement. TwistNav uses a middle click and right mouse click for camera movement and rotation. The current navigation design has been implemented in Unity with C#. This research proposed three model designs based on feasible navigation possibilities, which shows that each navigation model has unique advantages that can be adapted to user needs and preferences. Based on the test results using the System Usability Scale, IntuNav and EdgeNav obtained good results and can be used for further development. © 2024 IEEE.

Changing a person’s posture and low resolution are the key challenges for person re-identification(ReID)in various deep learning *** this paper,we introduce an innovative architecture using a dual attention network that includes an attentionmodule and a joint measurement module of spatial-temporal *** proposed approach can be classified into two main ***,the spatial attention feature map is formed by aggregating features in the spatial ***,the same operation is carried out on the channel dimension to formchannel attention ***,the receptive field size is adjusted adaptively tomitigate the changing person posture ***,we use a joint measurement method for the spatial-temporal information to fully harness the data,and it can also naturally integrate the information into the visual features of supervised ReID and hence overcome the low resolution *** experimental results indicate that our proposed algorithm markedly improves the accuracy in addressing changing human postures and low-resolution issues compared with contemporary leading *** proposed method shows superior outcomes on widely recognized benchmarks,which are the Market-1501,MSMT17,and DukeMTMC-reID ***,the proposed algorithmattains a Rank-1 accuracy of 97.4% and 94.9% mAP(mean Average Precision)on the Market-1501 ***,it achieves a 94.2% Rank-1 accuracy and 91.8% mAP on the DukeMTMC-reID dataset.
