Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology allows vehicles to communicate with numerous transportation system components. To provide safe communication between vehicles and other entities, V2X depends on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). However, the present PKI employed in V2X has certain drawbacks, including scalability and high computational cost. This article offers an enhancement to the current PKI in V2X that tackles these constraints by managing and distributing keys using blockchain technology. The suggested Public Key Infrastructure enhancement is intended to be secure, efficient, and scalable, providing a more solid and trustworthy foundation for V2Xcommunication. The article explains the suggested PKI enhancement and examines its advantages and disadvantages. Overall, the suggested Public Key Infrastructure enhancement has the potential to increase the security and dependability of Vehicle-to-Everything communication, allowing for a secure and more effective transportation system. © 2023 IEEE.

The research presents a comparative analysis of the selection of objects of interest in color medical cytology images. For these purposes, the individual edge detection operators studied are Canny, Roberts, and LoG. The comparison contrasts the standard method of assessing color photographs with a technique that incorporates supplementary information. Data from individual color channels, derived from the breakdown of a color image in RGB format, serve as supplementary information. The following individual cases for potential examination are emphasized: Image processing with a complete level of reuse of edge detection operators;with a partial level of reuse of edge detection operators. The results are displayed through an array of tables, graphs, and images. Metrics of visual perception of images are utilized for comparative analysis. Compared with traditional edge detection methods, the proposed approach yields better results, which can exceed the estimates of the classical approach by 20%. © 2024 IEEE.

Drought is an environmental and economic problem. Sustainable ecosystems, water resources, food security, and ecosystem sustainability. Machine all are severely affected by drought. Due to the increasing frequency and severity of droughts caused by climate change. Effective drought modeling is crucial for early warning systems and risk mitigation. Recent advances in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques have been developed as potential drought modeling tools, which offer accurate and reliable drought detection. This review paper summarizes the drought modeling(Drought Prediction, Drought Detection and Drought Forecasting) approaches. This paper focuses on three main aspect. 1) The selection of the region for this study, for this study South Asia(SA) is selected as region of interest (ROI) that offer accurate drought modeling, providing policymakers and decision-makers with insightful information. The geographical scope of this study is the region of South Asia. This region is selected because of its heavy reliance on agriculture. 2) This paper focuses on the current and future trends, challenges, and advances of and vulnerability to droughts. The review offers a thorough grasp of how drought conditions are evaluated by gathering and analyzing the most important drought indicators and metrics specific to South Asia. The paper explores the current state-of-the-art in ML and DL for drought modeling. 3) This review encapsulates the indicator and metrics (Complex Machine learning and deep learning models) for drought modeling which are most relevant to the SA region. This study sum up as most common challenges in drought modeling are, highlighting current challenges such as incomplete and inconsistent datasets, lack of explainable and interpretable models, and unavailability of data for model uncertainty analysis. According to the requirement of recognizing traffic police gestures for driver assistance systems and intelligent vehicles, a universal model for dynamic traffic police gesture recognition is firstly introduced, of which can accurately present the spatial context (such as the relative lengths of skeletons, the angles between each skeleton w. r. t. gravity, and part features) of the traffic police gestures. Secondly, an architecture which can respectively extract spatial context and temporal features of dynamic traffic police gesture is proposed. Meanwhile, deep neural network and LSTM are introduced to build a high-resolution traffic police gestures recognizer (namely HRTPGR). At last, the open Police Gesture Dataset is used to train and test TPGR, and the experimental results show that the TPGR achieves a state-of-the-art accuracy with 98.7% for dynamic traffic police gestures recognition, and has strong anti-interference ability to light, background and gesture shape changes. © 2023 IEEE.

Ultimate Boundedness and Output Convergence of Prioritized Output Tracking Control Under Nonsmooth and Imperfect Feedback Linearization

The concept of priority has been introduced to the robotic systems in 1980 s as an effort to overcome problems caused by singularity and it has attracted considerable attention from both the robotics and control societies. However, none of the previous works have successfully addressed two fundamental degenerate properties of singularity: nonsmoothness and imperfect inversion. This technical note proposes a prioritized output tracking control method that guarantees the ultimate boundedness and the convergence of higher priority outputs when the input-output feedback linearization becomes nonsmooth and imperfect by singularity. For that purpose, we firstly prioritize the input-output feedback linearization and discuss how two degenerate properties can occur when the system becomes singular. Then, we introduce the differential inclusion to deal with the nonsmooth internal dynamics and establish a condition using the upper Dini derivative for asymptotically stable zero dynamics. Also, we propose a strictly positive realness-based feedback gain design and find a condition related to an M-matrix in order to handle nonlinearities that appear in the imperfect feedback linearization. Finally, we combine these two results and show the ultimate boundedness and the output convergence. Additionally, we provide a motivational example with a planar four-link manipulator to illustrate the effectiveness and limitations of the proposed method. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The aim of cross-modal image-text retrieval is to heighten comprehension and to create robust associations between visual and textual content. This process entails a mutual querying and synchronization across various data formats. While conventional techniques have seen enhancements via attention-based approaches, they frequently miss the dynamics between corresponding and non-corresponding entity areas within image-text pairs. These techniques, often fixated on aligning image entities with textual terms, can overlook the congruence of entity characteristics, leading to less accurate localization. This research introduces PNRITR, an innovative strategy for cross-modal retrieval that leverages label learning to discern attributes absent from images, broadening the scope beyond just positive entity areas. The growing popularity of the Android platform makes it a target of malware authors. The effective identification of such malware is an ongoing challenge. Several methods using machine learning have been proposed to prevent this threat. These methods are usually conventionally evaluated without considering the extent of performance over time. Given the evolving nature of both malware and benign apps, conventional evaluation may lack information. To imitate reality, this study compares the longitudinal performance of different machine learning models, using different strategies that combine permissions and API calls as features extracted through static analysis. Thus, to determine which strategy of features on which classifier are most effective to characterize malware for building a robust malware detector. To achieve this goal, on the one hand, we use a large real-world app set consisting of 100K (50k benign, 50k malware) apps date-labeled, collected across ten years, first seen between 2013 and 2022. On the other hand, each feature's strategy is fed into five classifiers (i.e., SVM, RF, LR, DT, and ANN), using old apps for the training and new apps for the evaluation. Among the assessed machine learning models, the SVM achieves the most promising results over time by employing the combination strategy of the high difference usage of API calls and permissions. © 2023 IEEE.

Machine learning, a vital part of artificial intelli-gence, improves our ability to make predictions from complex data. The success of these predictions relies heavily on the model's fit with its data and the data's consistency. Accurate predictions depend on closely matching the model to the data patterns. However, missing data can seriously disrupt the accuracy of predictions, causing errors. To address this, we recommend adopting a proposed framework that enhances predictions by effectively filling in missing data. Our objective is to refine the accuracy of our predictions, especially in scenarios where the data might be incomplete and features exhibit patterns of dependency. In the context of missing data, our approach concentrates on enhancing regression performance to minimize the effects of missing data as effectively as possible. © 2024 IEEE.

Content-decoupled Contrastive Learning-based Implicit Degradation Modeling for Blind Image Super-Resolution Supplementary Material

Implicit degradation modeling-based blind super-resolution (SR) has attracted more increasing attention in the community due to its excellent generalization to complex degradation scenarios and wide application range. How to extract more discriminative degradation representations and fully adapt them to specific image features is the key to this task. In this paper, we propose a new Content-decoupled Contrastive Learning-based blind image super-resolution (CdCL) framework following the typical blind SR pipeline. This framework introduces negative-free contrastive learning technique for the first time to model the implicit degradation representation, in which a new cyclic shift sampling strategy is designed to ensure decoupling between content features and degradation features from the data perspective, thereby improving the purity and discriminability of the learned implicit degradation space. In addition, we propose a detail-aware implicit degradation adapting module that can better adapt degradation representations to specific LR features by enhancing the basic adaptation unit's perception of image details, significantly reducing the overall SR model complexity. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real data show that our method achieves highly competitive quantitative and qualitative results in various degradation settings while obviously reducing parameters and computational costs, validating the feasibility of designing practical and lightweight blind SR tools. The authors of this paper propose a block diagram for a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM. The buffer consists of two dynamic optical RAMs, each controlled separately to allow for simultaneous writing and reading of data, thereby improving performance. This setup enables data to be read from the buffer while new data is being written to it. Implementing a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM has the potential to enhance the performance of high-speed data transmission in telecommunications networks. The authors conducted numerical calculations to compare failure probabilities between single-operation and dual-operation buffers on dynamic optical RAM. The results indicated that using a dual-operating buffer significantly reduces the probability of failure with the same buffer memory capacity compared to a single-operating buffer. Additionally, the authors analyzed the effectiveness of the proposed dual-operating buffer. The analysis confirmed that exploiting dynamic optical memory for buffering enhances data transfer speed and efficiency due to the inherent properties of optical data transfer, such as high bandwidth and low latency. © 2024 IEEE.
