The forward-looking study is grounded in the comprehensive chronic cancer death data of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results, one of the most remarkable datasets for breast cancer survival rates ever examined. The approach of this study is to divide patients' data under a particular case feature;in this case, we explore patients' survival rate for breast cancer, which is our main goal. This is done by using the T-test, log-rank test, ANOVA test, and chi-square test, as well as linear regression. In the second part, we include everything from the prediction software to building models. Logistic Regression, Decision Tree and Random Forest Support Vector Machines (S.K.), K-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, Gradient Boosting, Convolutional Neural Networks, and Long Short-Term Memory Networks Models are heavily evaluated based on various key metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall. Parameter optimization is performed for each model, and robust validation techniques are implemented to ensure the reliability and generalizability of our findings. The clustered approach is chosen to carry out a comprehensive and systematic explanation of the different factors that may influence the lifespan of women who have survived the cancer and the use of ML and DL models as a predictive tool. Survival anticipation for breast cancer is imperative in the context of personalized therapies. ML and DL models have proven to be powerful instruments in predicting the future states of patients based on their data. © 2024 IEEE.

Ultimate Boundedness and Output Convergence of Prioritized Output Tracking Control Under Nonsmooth and Imperfect Feedback Linearization

The concept of priority has been introduced to the robotic systems in 1980 s as an effort to overcome problems caused by singularity and it has attracted considerable attention from both the robotics and control societies. However, none of the previous works have successfully addressed two fundamental degenerate properties of singularity: nonsmoothness and imperfect inversion. This technical note proposes a prioritized output tracking control method that guarantees the ultimate boundedness and the convergence of higher priority outputs when the input-output feedback linearization becomes nonsmooth and imperfect by singularity. For that purpose, we firstly prioritize the input-output feedback linearization and discuss how two degenerate properties can occur when the system becomes singular. Then, we introduce the differential inclusion to deal with the nonsmooth internal dynamics and establish a condition using the upper Dini derivative for asymptotically stable zero dynamics. Also, we propose a strictly positive realness-based feedback gain design and find a condition related to an M-matrix in order to handle nonlinearities that appear in the imperfect feedback linearization. Finally, we combine these two results and show the ultimate boundedness and the output convergence. Additionally, we provide a motivational example with a planar four-link manipulator to illustrate the effectiveness and limitations of the proposed method. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The aim of cross-modal image-text retrieval is to heighten comprehension and to create robust associations between visual and textual content. This process entails a mutual querying and synchronization across various data formats. While conventional techniques have seen enhancements via attention-based approaches, they frequently miss the dynamics between corresponding and non-corresponding entity areas within image-text pairs. These techniques, often fixated on aligning image entities with textual terms, can overlook the congruence of entity characteristics, leading to less accurate localization. This research introduces PNRITR, an innovative strategy for cross-modal retrieval that leverages label learning to discern attributes absent from images, broadening the scope beyond just positive entity areas. Instant delivery has become a fundamental service in people's daily lives. Different from the traditional express service, the instant delivery has a strict shipping time constraint after being ordered. However, the labor shortage makes it challenging to realize efficient instant delivery. To tackle the problem, researchers have studied to introduce vehicles (i.e., taxis) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or drones) into instant delivery tasks. Unfortunately, the delivery detour of taxis and the limited battery of UAVs make it hard to meet the rapidly increasing instant delivery demands. Under this circumstance, this paper proposes an air-ground cooperative instant delivery paradigm to maximize the delivery performance and meanwhile minimize the negative effects on the taxi passengers. Specifically, a data-driven delivery potential-demands-aware cooperative strategy is designed to improve the overall delivery performance of both UAVs and taxis as well as the taxi passengers' experience. The experimental results show that the proposed method improves the delivery number by 30.1% and 114.5% compared to the taxi-based and UAV-based instant delivery respectively, and shortens the delivery time by 35.7% compared to the taxi-based instant delivery. © 2024 IEEE.

Machine learning, a vital part of artificial intelli-gence, improves our ability to make predictions from complex data. The success of these predictions relies heavily on the model's fit with its data and the data's consistency. Accurate predictions depend on closely matching the model to the data patterns. However, missing data can seriously disrupt the accuracy of predictions, causing errors. To address this, we recommend adopting a proposed framework that enhances predictions by effectively filling in missing data. Our objective is to refine the accuracy of our predictions, especially in scenarios where the data might be incomplete and features exhibit patterns of dependency. In the context of missing data, our approach concentrates on enhancing regression performance to minimize the effects of missing data as effectively as possible. © 2024 IEEE.

The authors of this paper propose a block diagram for a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM. The buffer consists of two dynamic optical RAMs, each controlled separately to allow for simultaneous writing and reading of data, thereby improving performance. This setup enables data to be read from the buffer while new data is being written to it. Implementing a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM has the potential to enhance the performance of high-speed data transmission in telecommunications networks. The authors conducted numerical calculations to compare failure probabilities between single-operation and dual-operation buffers on dynamic optical RAM. The results indicated that using a dual-operating buffer significantly reduces the probability of failure with the same buffer memory capacity compared to a single-operating buffer. Additionally, the authors analyzed the effectiveness of the proposed dual-operating buffer. The analysis confirmed that exploiting dynamic optical memory for buffering enhances data transfer speed and efficiency due to the inherent properties of optical data transfer, such as high bandwidth and low latency. © 2024 IEEE.

Detecting 3D objects is a core task for autonomous vehicles (AVs), as it allows them to drive safely and responsibly. To detect objects quickly and accurately, AVs have LiDAR sensors, which can capture 3D data from 360° in various conditions, including harsh weather. However, LiDAR sensors may face a spoofing attack via laser satirizing. This type of attack does not require physical contact with the sensors nor does it need to change them. It can mislead AVs by providing them with false information, which can then put passengers, pedestrians, and other vehicles in danger. Therefore, this paper proposes a model utilizing machine learning (i.e., decision trees) to protect AVs from such attacks. The performance of the proposed model indicates that it can detect LiDAR spoofing attacks. © 2022 IEEE.

Document Image Dewarping (DID) task aims to address the issue of geometry distortion and improve image quality. In this paper, we propose a simple but effective method, named DocHFormer, that can take hierarchical priors features of images, including document image mask and coordinate positions, as additional information to realize accurate representation. To better exploit these fused information for dewarping, we take them into a harmonized space random shuffle operation, which can stochastically rearrange the pixels across spatial space and further use inverse operation to recover the original order. This way can adapt to allocate each feature pixel with equal probability and thus make full use of multi-type features. Furthermore, we introduce this mechanism into local self-attention to use linear complexity to input resolution and also design a new feed-forward network with structural modeling to boost representation. With the help of the above components, our proposed DocHFormer can achieve competitive performance with lower complexity and also outperform the existing state-of-the-art on several popular datasets. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Cloud server data security makes extensive use of data centers and instantly accessible edge systems for possible transactions involving sizable and confidential data. These Edge systems are chosen for rental based on their usefulness in situations where new privacy and security difficulties must be overcome. The use of Edge systems is subject to dynamic mobility, which increases the danger of attacking threats. With this suggested approach, the Defensive Auto-updatable and Adaptable Bot Recommender approach (DAABRS) is used by the Cloud Center to identify the safeguarded Edge System. Cloud Data Centers with Edge systems contain a variety of users and environments, making it simple for attackers to enter anonymously and compromise Edge System privacy. The most effective security measure against increasing risks and assaults for Edge systems that rent more cloud storage is to use Stealth Mode Bots inside of data segments. In addition to anticipating and averting data breaches in server partitioning, tenant systems, edge systems, and containers by integrating stealth mode bots into each. Suggested use cases: Tenants, Edge systems, or Containers for effective security-enhanced Stealth Mode Bots that are activated when a particular data segment is unplugged. Updatable and adaptive bots are used in the suggested strategy to counter Edge strategy assaults. Additionally, it uses Stealth Mode Bots to stop heavily attacked Data Containers, and machine learning will be used to update specifications to identify and prevent further assaults. © 2024 IEEE.

In the literature,numerous techniques have been employed to decrease noise in medical image modalities,including X-Ray(XR),Ultrasonic(Us),Computed Tomography(CT),Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI),and Positron Emission Tomography(PET).These techniques are organized into two main classes:the Multiple Image(MI)and the Single Image(SI)*** the MI techniques,images usually obtained for the same area scanned from different points of view are used.A single image is used in the entire procedure in the SI *** denoising techniques can be carried out both in a transform or spatial *** paper is concerned with single-image noise reduction techniques because we deal with single medical *** most well-known spatial domain noise reduction techniques,including Gaussian filter,Kuan filter,Frost filter,Lee filter,Gabor filter,Median filter,Homomorphic filter,Speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion(SRAD),Nonlocal-Means(NL-Means),and Total Variation(TV),are ***,the transform domain noise reduction techniques,including wavelet-based and Curvelet-based techniques,and some hybridization techniques are ***,a deep(Convolutional Neural Network)CNN-based denoising model is proposed to eliminate Gaussian and Speckle noises in different medical image *** model utilizes the Batch Normalization(BN)and the ReLU as a basic *** a result,it attained a considerable improvement over the traditional *** previously mentioned techniques are evaluated and compared by calculating qualitative visual inspection and quantitative parameters like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Correlation Coefficient(Cr),and system complexity to determine the optimum denoising algorithm to be applied *** on the quality metrics,it is demonstrated that the proposed deep CNN-based denoising model is efficient and has superior denoising performance over the traditionaldenoising techniques.
