Developing vehicles with the Internet of Thing technology including driver health monitoring systems, driver safety systems, and accident prevention has drawn the attention of researchers in the last few years. The monitoring system should prevent any dangerous situation and be comfortable for the driver inside the cabin. In this paper, we introduce a remote video-based method for detecting the heart rate in real-time using smartphone cameras, which can be used for the analysis of the driver's physiological parameters to enhance driving safety. We propose to use 3DDFA for automatic facial landmarks detection to extract the driver's face and a 3d-classification-based model for detecting the heart rate. The experiments showed good results with mean absolute error (MAE) equal to 6.8 on the LGI-PPGI dataset and 18.68 on our DriverMVT dataset that was recorded in the wild. © 2022 IEEE.

In many underwater application scenarios, recognition tasks need to be executed promptly on computationally limited platforms. However, models designed for this field often exhibit spatial locality, and existing works lack the ability to capture crucial details in images. Therefore, a lightweight and detail-aware vision network (LDVNet) for resource-constrained environments is proposed to overcome the limitations of these approaches. Firstly, in order to enhance the accuracy of target image recognition, we introduce transformer modules to acquire global information, thus addressing the issue of spatial locality inherent in traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Secondly, to maintain the network's lightweight nature, we integrate the transformer module with convolutional operations, thereby mitigating the substantial parameter and floating point operations (FLOPs) overhead. Thirdly, for the efficient extraction of crucial fine-grained details from feature maps, we have devised a channel and spatial attention module (C&SA). This module aids in recognizing intricate and fine-grained visual tasks and enhances image understanding. It is seamlessly integrated into LDVNet with nearly negligible parameter overhead. The experimental results demonstrate that LDVNet outperforms other lightweight networks and hybrid networks in different recognition tasks, while being suitable for resource-constrained environments. © 2023 IEEE.

Four cultivars of Phoenix dactylifera L. from south-west of Algeria are exploited for the first time in the production of biodiesel. Physicochemical characteristics and fatty acid composition of these oils have been determined. The biodiesel is obtained by using acid transesterification of oils extracted from seeds of the fourth cultivars. Analysis by FT-IR spectroscopy confirmed the synthesis of biodiesels. GC-FID analysis has shown that the extracted oils can be classified as oleic-lauric oils, very rich in oleic acid C18:1 (44.74-47.99%) and lauric acid C12:0 (15.29-19.80%). In this study, we have valorized date seeds generally considered as waste. This valorization led to finished products: oil and biodiesel. © 2022, Politechnica University of Bucharest. A truly universal quantum computer is still on the small scale at the present. There has been no transition from the laboratory use of quantum computers to more widespread use of the technology. As a result, quantum simulation has emerged as the accepted norm for supporting the validation of quantum algorithms. Many conventional algorithms benefit from grover's quantum search method because it accelerates their usage of search heuristics. For better multi-core load balancing, memory utilization, and simulation efficiency, this research presented a high-performance grover method simulation that combines the benefits of grover's technique with the parallel of cloud computing. This study also suggests and experimentally compares five distinct cloud-based computing architectures that are well-suited to quantum simulation. Through research and testing, this study also verifies the optimization's efficiency. Depending on the size of the current configuration, the experimental results reveal that the simulation can reach 31 bits. © 2023 IEEE.

Internet communication is used as a mode of engagement by businesses, organizations, and even nations in a variety of contexts. As a result, both the quantity of data produced and the importance of the information that can be derived from it are growing. Multiple safeguards are required in order to ensure that the accessibility, integrity, and confidentiality of company information and assets are maintained. When it comes to protecting the privacy of a company and its reputation, adopting countermeasures and minimizing the damage caused by irreversible cyberattacks are both very crucial. It is possible to utilize both active and passive attack tactics, as well as social engineering tests, to evaluate the weaknesses of a corporation's cyber security. The identification and ranking of vulnerabilities both play an active part in the process of raising the level of corporate awareness, as well as closing shortfalls and enhancing measures. In this investigation, ethics committee reports and confidentiality agreements were followed in order to do a cyber security vulnerability assessment on seven separate organizations. These organizations represented the governmental sector, the corporate sector, and the civil society. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the firms' cyber security infrastructures, security scans such as port, web, application-based system and network penetration tests, distributed denial of service attacks, and social engineering were carried out. The Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) was used in order to change the base score of each institution and to identify the vulnerabilities that were present. Enterprise Networks, Cyber Security Analysis, Cyber Attacks, Penetration, and Vulnerability are some of the Keywords that can be found in this article. © 2024 IEEE.

Image inpainting, which aims to reconstruct reasonably clear and realistic images from known pixel information, is one of the core problems in computer vision. However, due to the complexity and variability of the underwater environment, the inability to extract valid pixel points and insufficient correlation between feature information in existing image inpainting techniques lead to blurring in the generated images. Therefore, a novel gated attention feature fusion image inpainting network based on generative adversarial networks (GAF-GAN) is proposed. The accuracy of feature similarity matching depends heavily on the validity of the information contained in the features. On the one hand, gating values are dynamically generated by gated convolution to reduce the interference of invalid information. On the other hand, semantic information at distant locations in an image is accurately acquired by the attention mechanism. For these reasons, we designed an improved gated attention mechanism. Gated attention mechanism make the network focus on effective information such as high-frequency texture and color fidelity of restored images. In addition, the dense feature fusion module is added to expand the overall receptive field of the network to fully learn the image features. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively repair defective images with complex texture structures and improve the reality and integrity of image details and structures. © 2023 IEEE.

Medical Image Analysis(MIA)is one of the active research areas in computer vision,where brain tumor detection is the most investigated domain among researchers due to its deadly *** tumor detection in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)assists radiologists for better analysis about the exact size and location of the ***,the existing systems may not efficiently classify the human brain tumors with significantly higher *** addition,smart and easily implementable approaches are unavailable in 2D and 3D medical images,which is the main problem in detecting the *** this paper,we investigate various deep learning models for the detection and localization of the tumor in MRI.A novel twotier framework is proposed where the first tire classifies normal and tumor MRI followed by tumor regions localization in the second ***,in this paper,we introduce a well-annotated dataset comprised of tumor and normal *** experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework by achieving 97%accuracy using GoogLeNet on the proposed dataset for classification and 83%for localization tasks after finetuning the pre-trained you only look once(YOLO)v3 model.
