Music recommendation systems are essential due to the vast amount of music available on streaming platforms,which can overwhelm users trying to find new tracks that match their *** systems analyze users’emotional responses,listening habits,and personal preferences to provide personalized suggestions.A significant challenge they face is the“cold start”problem,where new users have no past interactions to guide *** improve user experience,these systems aimto effectively recommendmusic even to such users by considering their listening behavior and music *** paper introduces a novel music recommendation system that combines order clustering and a convolutional neural network,utilizing user comments and rankings as ***,the system organizes users into clusters based on semantic similarity,followed by the utilization of their rating similarities as input for the convolutional neural *** network then predicts ratings for unreviewed music by ***,the system analyses user music listening behaviour and music *** popularity can help to address cold start users as ***,the proposed method recommends unreviewed music based on predicted high rankings and popularity,taking into account each user’s music listening *** proposed method combines predicted high rankings and popularity by first selecting popular unreviewedmusic that themodel predicts to have the highest ratings for each *** these,the most popular tracks are prioritized,defined by metrics such as frequency of listening across *** number of recommended tracks is aligned with each user’s typical listening *** experimental findings demonstrate that the new method outperformed other classification techniques and prior recommendation systems,yielding a mean absolute error(MAE)rate and rootmean square error(RMSE)rate of approximately 0.0017,a hit rate of 82.45%,an average normalized discounted cumulative gain

In the machine learning(ML)paradigm,data augmentation serves as a regularization approach for creating ML *** increase in the diversification of training samples increases the generalization capabilities,which enhances the prediction performance of classifiers when tested on unseen *** learning(DL)models have a lot of parameters,and they frequently ***,to avoid overfitting,data plays a major role to augment the latest improvements in ***,reliable data collection is a major limiting ***,this problem is undertaken by combining augmentation of data,transfer learning,dropout,and methods of normalization in *** this paper,we introduce the application of data augmentation in the field of image classification using Random Multi-model Deep Learning(RMDL)which uses the association approaches of multi-DL to yield random models for *** present a methodology for using Generative Adversarial Networks(GANs)to generate images for data *** experiments,we discover that samples generated by GANs when fed into RMDL improve both accuracy and model *** across both MNIST and CIAFAR-10 datasets show that,error rate with proposed approach has been decreased with different random models.

To prevent irreversible damage to one’s eyesight,ocular diseases(ODs)need to be recognized and treated *** fundus imaging(CFI)is a screening technology that is both effective and *** to CFIs,the early stages of the disease are characterized by a paucity of observable symptoms,which necessitates the prompt creation of automated and robust diagnostic *** traditional research focuses on image-level diagnostics that attend to the left and right eyes in isolation without making use of pertinent correlation data between the two sets of *** addition,they usually only target one or a few different kinds of eye diseases at the same *** this study,we design a patient-level multi-label OD(PLML_ODs)classification model that is based on a spatial correlation network(SCNet).This model takes into consideration the relevance of patient-level diagnosis combining bilateral eyes and multi-label ODs ***_ODs is made up of three parts:a backbone convolutional neural network(CNN)for feature extraction i.e.,DenseNet-169,a SCNet for feature correlation,and a classifier for the development of classification *** DenseNet-169 is responsible for retrieving two separate sets of attributes,one from each of the left and right *** then,the SCNet will record the correlations between the two feature sets on a pixel-by-pixel *** the attributes have been analyzed,they are integrated to provide a representation at the patient *** the whole process of ODs categorization,the patient-level representation will be *** efficacy of the PLML_ODs is examined using a soft margin loss on a dataset that is readily accessible to the public,and the results reveal that the classification performance is significantly improved when compared to several baseline approaches.

This research offers a comparative analysis of Qual-ity of Service (QoS) within Software Defined Networks (SDN) by assessing the POX and OpenDaylight controllers across various network topologies. The results show that OpenDaylight has a 32.59% higher average throughput than POX, demonstrating its superior data handling capabilities. Conversely, POX exhibits a 54.53% lower average delay and an 85.05% higher average jitter compared to OpenDaylight, highlighting its effectiveness in maintaining lower latency and variability in packet transmission times. These contrasting performances provide essential insights for network engineers in selecting the optimal SDN controller based on specific network demands, significantly influencing the overall network efficiency and stability. © 2024 IEEE.

Adaptive Graph Embedding With Consistency and Specificity for Domain Adaptation

Domain adaptation(DA) aims to find a subspace,where the discrepancies between the source and target domains are reduced. Based on this subspace, the classifier trained by the labeled source samples can classify unlabeled target samples *** approaches leverage Graph Embedding Learning to explore such a subspace. Unfortunately, due to 1) the interaction of the consistency and specificity between samples, and 2) the joint impact of the degenerated features and incorrect labels in the samples, the existing approaches might assign unsuitable similarity, which restricts their performance. In this paper, we propose an approach called adaptive graph embedding with consistency and specificity(AGE-CS) to cope with these issues. AGE-CS consists of two methods, i.e., graph embedding with consistency and specificity(GECS), and adaptive graph embedding(AGE).GECS jointly learns the similarity of samples under the geometric distance and semantic similarity metrics, while AGE adaptively adjusts the relative importance between the geometric distance and semantic similarity during the iterations. By AGE-CS,the neighborhood samples with the same label are rewarded,while the neighborhood samples with different labels are punished. As a result, compact structures are preserved, and advanced performance is achieved. Extensive experiments on five benchmark datasets demonstrate that the proposed method performs better than other Graph Embedding methods.

Knowledge Transfer Learning via Dual Density Sampling for Resource-Limited Domain Adaptation

Most existing domain adaptation(DA) methods aim to explore favorable performance under complicated environments by ***,there are three unsolved problems that limit their efficiencies:ⅰ) they adopt global sampling but neglect to exploit global and local sampling simultaneously;ⅱ)they either transfer knowledge from a global perspective or a local perspective,while overlooking transmission of confident knowledge from both perspectives;and ⅲ) they apply repeated sampling during iteration,which takes a lot of *** address these problems,knowledge transfer learning via dual density sampling(KTL-DDS) is proposed in this study,which consists of three parts:ⅰ) Dual density sampling(DDS) that jointly leverages two sampling methods associated with different views,i.e.,global density sampling that extracts representative samples with the most common features and local density sampling that selects representative samples with critical boundary information;ⅱ)Consistent maximum mean discrepancy(CMMD) that reduces intra-and cross-domain risks and guarantees high consistency of knowledge by shortening the distances of every two subsets among the four subsets collected by DDS;and ⅲ) Knowledge dissemination(KD) that transmits confident and consistent knowledge from the representative target samples with global and local properties to the whole target domain by preserving the neighboring relationships of the target *** analyses show that DDS avoids repeated sampling during the *** the above three actions,confident knowledge with both global and local properties is transferred,and the memory and running time are greatly *** addition,a general framework named dual density sampling approximation(DDSA) is extended,which can be easily applied to other DA *** experiments on five datasets in clean,label corruption(LC),feature missing(FM),and LC&FM environments demonstrate the encouraging performance of KTL-DDS.

Employers should recognize that employees are the most vulnerable aspect of business environments since these cyber hazards are growing because of user neglect, lack of fundamental security discipline, and a fast-changing threat context. The theoretical approach proposed in the study bridges the difference by carefully following and handling the staff's internet presence. Overall, the study describes a comprehensive solution to govern the security of employees' internet presence by utilizing Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for advanced intrusion detection, Natural Language Processing (NLP) for implementation and enforcement of browser-based security policies, visual and text data recognition to identify phishing attempts, and lastly analyzing and profiling users based on their online presence via a mathematical model. As a result, this study provides a comprehensive solution for mitigating risks related to human factors in corporate environments. © 2024 IEEE.

The Internet of Things-empowered precision irrigation management system with LoRaWAN technology is presented given the growing food requirements across the world and pressing calls for judicious use of water in agriculture. Flow Pilot, specifically designed for chili farms, optimizes water application while enhancing crop health using precise and automated irrigation. The Flow Pilot features advanced sensors such as soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and rain sensors that collect real-time environmental data transmitted over a LoRaWAN network for analysis. Flow Pilot uses the Machine learning algorithm by analyzing sensor data to make localized irrigation recommendations based on crop needs, environmental factors, and weather forecasting. LoRaWAN gateways will support this for long-ranged communications over power-consuming agricultural fields. Besides this, it can use different network architectures. There is also an automated water tank management module that regulates the supply of water and pH levels to have optimal conditions for crop growth. A visually simple dashboard interface enables farmers to inspect and operate irrigation processes remotely, hence rendering the whole process far more efficient. Finally, over the extensive period of field tests executed by the project, Flow Pilot was able to save water, improve crop yields, and help support sustainable agriculture. For example, this testing supports the potential of IoT with LoRaWAN technologies, such as the Flow Pilot implementation, for a game change in conventional irrigation practices into a modern, scalable, and reliable solution. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to forecast the run time of the jobs that were submitted, this research provides two linear regression prediction models that include continuous and categorical factors. A continuous predictor is built using the number of CPUs, average CPU speed, and memory size, whereas a categorical predictor is built using the user ID, group ID, and executable ID. According to the findings, the prediction rates for categorical and continuous predictors are 61% and 1%, respectively. sixty times better than the earlier models, which used continuous variables as a foundational model to determine task complexity and weight. The effectiveness of the categorical predictor in enhancing a job scheduling problem is then evaluated by combining it with three suggested job scheduling strategies. The suggested algorithms incorporated metrics - predicted run time, waiting time, and resource requirement - to select the smallest jobs. According to the results, Algorithm 3 performs better than earlier models in both performance metrics. The variation in total execution time and average waiting time is 1.14 to 1.76 and 4.5, respectively compared to previous models, Additionally, Algorithms 1 and 2 demonstrating superior performance in every scenario. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigated the predictive capabilities of three decision tree models for IoT botnet attack prediction using packet information while minimizing the number of predictors. The study employed three decision tree models (C5, CHAID, and Random Forest) and two additional models (Logistic Regression and Bayesian Network) for comparison purposes. The IoT botnet attack dataset comprised various devices, mainly two types of attacks (Gafgyt and Mirai) and 23 feature engineering variables. Simulation results from all models showed that Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and False Omission Rate (FOR) values are approximately one, with an F1 score of around 0.5. CHAID and C5 models outperform other models in predicting IoT botnet attacks, as they are developed using only four and two variables, respectively. These results demonstrated that decision tree models with fewer variables can perform better than models that utilize all predictors. © 2024 IEEE.
