In challenging operational environments such as underground buildings beneath roadways, reliability and performance of wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for electric vehicles (EVs) heavily hinge on the operating temperature of the magnetic couplers. Addressing this, this study introduces a novel approach employing heat sink and thermoelectric cooler technologies to mitigate temperature rise in magnetic couplers, which is particularly crucial for high-power applications. Utilizing ANSYS simulation, the study evaluates a WPT high-power application coil model with a total output power of 2 KW and an 18 cm air gap, with a 3.5 cm adjacent alignment to enhance thermal performance on both transmitter and receiver sides. Results demonstrate significant thermal enhancement, reducing the temperature of coils from 63◦ C to 54◦ C solely with the heat sink and further down to 48◦ C with the combined implementation of both heat sink and thermoelectric cooler. These measures effectively dissipate heat from the coils into the surrounding air, ensuring system efficiency and stability while facilitating functionality of system components. © 2024, Electromagnetics Academy. The aim of this study was to create an Internet of Things (IoT) system that can monitor and control temperature and humidity in oyster mushroom production from a distant location. This system was developed with the goal of improving efficiency and the quality of the mushroom yield. The implementation of the system involved the utilization of a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller, which was combined with DS18B20 and DHT22 sensors. The system was then managed by a Telegram bot, enabling continuous operation throughout the day. The findings revealed substantial enhancements in efficiency, as the duration for monitoring and watering decreased from 471.6 seconds to 5 seconds. Additionally, there was a noteworthy reduction in the proportion of suboptimal mushrooms, declining from 12% to 1.72%. The findings indicate that the system offers a dependable and efficient alternative for maintaining ideal environmental conditions, resulting in improved crop quality and decreased labour requirements. The deployment of this technology signifies a significant progression in precision agriculture, providing tangible advantages for small-scale mushroom cultivators and establishing the foundation for future improvements in automated agricultural systems.

The present work researches driver drowsiness, which constitutes a huge problem, and can turn into fatal incidents potentially involving the losing of lives, being it while driving in a highway (car, bus, truck, etc.), in the railway, or any other transportation mean (ship, airplane, etc.). Recent technology has been involved in the study of the fatigue behaviour. The purpose of this work is to identify the in-driver’s drowsiness, contributing to get rid of the accidents, mainly during the night, and to ensure better safety in train and on the highways. A camera is used to capture images from the driver, and face detection is executed in real-time to find out the exact position of driver’s face. Here, the blinking of the driver’s eye is under consideration. The fundamental concept lies in the closing of the driver’s eye for a specific duration of time. If the closing time exceeds that certain duration, drowsiness is detected and an alarm is sounded for awareness. Python and OpenCV (using Haarcascade library) are the fundamental programming platforms for sensing the facial attributes. In this work, a cost-effective system for the driver’s drowsiness detection is aimed. In the fuzzy multicriteria decision-making approach, a committee of decision-makers is usually involved in the assessment of the suitability of different alternatives based on the evaluation criteria by using linguistic terms and their equivalent fuzzy numbers. In this context, researchers have developed the Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) to overcome the limitation of intuitionistic fuzzy set in the description of decision-maker information such as imposing restrictions on the representation of membership and nonmembership grades. On the one hand, PFS still does not have sufficient ability and flexibility to deal with such issues. On the other hand, multipolar technology is used to operate large-scale systems in real-life situations, especially in dealing with dissatisfaction and indeterminacy grades for the alternatives of the reference set. Thus, m-polar fuzzy set is utilized and applied with other fuzzy sets because of its remarkable ability as a tool for depicting fuzziness and uncertainty under multipolar information in many circumstances. With the practical features of m-polar fuzzy set in combination with PFS, this paper employs it to extend two considerable MCDM methods, namely, fuzzy decision by opinion score method and fuzzy-weighted zero inconsistency. Such extensions, called Pythagorean m-polar fuzzy-weighted zero-inconsistency (Pm-PFWZIC) method and Pythagorean m-polar fuzzy decision by opinion score method (Pm-PFDOSM), are formulated to weight the evaluation criteria followed by alternative ranking progressively. The research methodology is presented as follows. Firstly, the mechanisms of Pm-PFWZIC and Pm-PFDOSM are formulated and integrated into the development phase. Secondly, the description of the real-world case study of the evaluation and benchmarking of the sign language recognition systems is adapted and presented. Satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks have become the hot topic these years, which have been regarded as the major part of the intelligence of things for future networks. During this work, we investigate the secrecy performance for rate-splitting multiple access-assisted satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks. Besides, imperfect hardware and channel estimation errors are considered in the secrecy networks. Moreover, to enhance the energy utilization efficiency, rate-splitting multiple access scheme is utilized into the considered network, which is prior to that of the non-orthogonal multiple access scheme. What's more, to enhance the satellite transmission, multiple high aerial platforms are used to forward the transmission along with multiple eavesdroppers. In addition, the direct transmission link is not considered in the secrecy networks due to the heavy fading and obstacles. Relied on the former considerations, the exact and asymptotic analysis for the secrecy performance is further obtained to confirm the rightness of the analysis. Imbalanced datasets pose critical challenges in text classification, often leading to biased predictions and reduced model performance. This study compares three undersampling techniques: Random UnderSampler, Near Miss, and Tomek Links, to evaluate their impact on five machine learning classifiers: Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, and Neural Network. The results demonstrate that the Random Forest classifier achieves the highest performance with precision of 97%, recall of 99%, and F1-score of 98% across all methods, showcasing its robustness against data imbalance. The Near Miss technique improves Neural Network performance to a recall of 83% and F1-score of 71%, while Tomek Links further boosts Neural Network precision to 68%, recall to 72%, and F1-score to 70%. In contrast, simpler models like Naive Bayes exhibit limited improvements, with precision and recall scores around 47-51%. These findings underscore the importance of selecting appropriate undersampling strategies to enhance text classification outcomes and address data imbalance effectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Breast cancer is a disease that is prevalent all over the world, and that is essential for the efficient treatment and care of breast cancer patients who are monitored remotely. However, traditional conventional centralized systems for patient monitoring face challenges in providing effective and efficient care for breast cancer patients, including limited access to medical records, ineffective communication, and patient participation. Fragmentation of records and difficulty in obtaining information can hinder patient care in terms of both privacy and data security. The proposed system uses machine learning, blockchain, smart contracts, hybrid access control, and hybrid intrusion prevention and detection to diagnose breast cancer decentralized. The technology analyses medical data using advanced machine learning algorithms to diagnose breast cancer accurately and provide healthcare practitioners with relevant insights. The blockchain stores patient information, diagnostic results, and metadata transparently and securely to protect data integrity and privacy. Smart contracts automate and enforce rules, securing data and improving diagnostic workflow. User roles and attributes are used to manage access to sensitive data and improve collaboration. Patients, doctors, and researchers have different permits and limits. Secures granular data and prevents unauthorized access. Scalability and network congestion are addressed via a hybrid network management system. The system optimizes resource allocation, load balancing, and data transfer by integrating centralized and decentralized methodologies. These features reduce delays and assure seamless operation. Experimental results reveal that the suggested system detects breast cancer more accurately than centralized methods.
