Chiral metamaterials(CMs)composed by artificial chiral resonators have attracted great attentions in the recent decades due to their strong chiroptical resonance and identifiable interaction with chiral materials,facilitating practical applications in chiral biosensing,chiral emission,and display ***,the complex geometry of CMs improves the fabrication difficulty and hinders their scalable fabrication for practical applications,especially in the visible and ultraviolet *** potential strategy is the colloidal lithography that enables parallel fabrication for scalable and various planar ***,we demonstrate a stepwise colloidal lithography technique that uses sequential deposition from multiple CMs and expand their variety and *** geometry and optical chirality of building blocks from single deposition are systematically investigated,and their combination enables a significant extension of the range of chiral patterns by multiple-step *** approach resulted in a myriad of complex designs with different characteristic sizes,compositions,and shapes,which are particularly beneficial for the development of nanophotonic *** addition,we designed a flexible chiral device based on PDMS,which exhibits a good CD value and excellent stability even after multiple inward and outward *** excellent compatibility to various substrates makes the planar CMs more flexible in practical applications in microfluidic biosensing.

Researchers are likely to encounter the problem of multicollinearity in the distributed lag model due to its nature. To address multicollinearity, biased estimation techniques such as the Almon ridge estimator may be preferred over the Almon estimator. By integrating the principal component (PC) approach with the Almon Kibria-Lukman (KL) estimator, the Almon principal component Kibria-Lukman estimator is proposed in this paper. The new technique possesses the advantage of the principal component estimator and the Almon-KL estimator. Almon-PC-KL estimator dominates the other estimators considered in this study in terms of theoretical comparison and simulation. © 2023, The Behaviormetric Society.

Experimental evaluation of MU-MIMO in TDD environment for 5G NR using exploiting channel reciprocity

5G New Radio (NR) operates in two frequency ranges viz. Frequency Range 1 (sub-6 GHz band) and Frequency Range 2 (millimeter wave communication). It utilizes Time Division Duplex (TDD) communication, allowing the same frequency band for uplink and downlink transmission using sounding reference signals. These signals help estimate channel conditions for scheduling downlink traffic. Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) technology enables simultaneous data transmission to multiple users using multiple antennas. This study examines MU-MIMO performance in TDD by analyzing variables like radio conditions, modulation schemes, code rates, precoding algorithms, and sub-carrier spacing. Simulation results show that Zero Forcing (ZF) precoding outperforms Block Diagonalization (BD) and Regularized Zero Forcing (RZF) in good radio conditions. However, in bad radio conditions, RZF performs better than ZF. Choosing higher code rates in 16 and 64-QAM and lower code rates in 256-QAM from the MCS table improves throughput. This indicates that MCS and user selection are crucial for higher throughput in TDD-based MU-MIMO for 5G NR. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management 2024.

Analysis of converting -circuit into -circuit

A $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit, which was proposed in Asiacypt 2022 by Huang and Sun (Advances in cryptology – ASIACRYPT 2022, pp. 614–644, 2022), can directly perform calculations with the existing quantum states, thereby reducing the use of quantum resources in quantum logic synthesis. We theoretically prove how to convert a $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit into the corresponding $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit through two lemmas and one theorem. The first lemma proves the interchangeability of CNOT gates and NOT gates by using the equivalence of quantum circuits. The second lemma proves that adding CNOT gates to the front of a quantum circuit whose initial states are all $|0\rangle $ s will not change the output states of the circuit. The theorem is used to describe what kind of $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit can be transformed into $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit, and the correctness of this transformation is proved. Our work will provide a theoretical basis for converting $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit to $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit. Then applying the theoretical analysis results to the multiplication over $\text{GF}(2^{8})$ , the constructed quantum circuit needs 27 Toffoli gates and 118 CNOT gates, which is 15 fewer Toffoli gates and 43 CNOT gates than the current best result. This shows that the method of constructing quantum circuits by using the conversion of $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit to $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit is very efficient.

Medical image segmentation is crucial for precise diagnosis, treatment planning, and disease monitoring in clinical settings. While convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved remarkable success, they struggle with modeling long-range dependencies. Vision Transformers (ViTs) address this limitation by leveraging self-attention mechanisms to capture global contextual information. However, ViTs often fall short in local feature description, which is crucial for precise segmentation. To address this issue, we reformulate self-attention in the frequency domain to enhance both local and global feature representation. Our approach, the Enhanced Wave Vision Transformer (EW-ViT), incorporates wavelet decomposition within the self-attention block to adaptively refine feature representation in low and high-frequency components. We also introduce the Prompt-Guided High-Frequency Refiner (PGHFR) module to handle image degradation, which mainly affects high-frequency components. This module uses implicit prompts to encode degradation-specific information and adjust high-frequency representations accordingly. Additionally, we apply a contrastive learning strategy to maintain feature consistency and ensure robustness against noise, leading to state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance in medical image segmentation, especially under various conditions of degradation. This paper solves the neural network (NN) tracking control problem for uncertain nonlinear servo system with time-varying parameters and uncertainties. To address the uncertain nonlinear function with unknown time-varying parameters (i.e., unknown nonlinear spatiotemporal function), the time-varying parameter extraction method is used to separate the time-varying parameters from uncertain nonlinear spatiotemporal function, which yields an unknown state-based boundary function. By the tools of NN and adaptive technology, an adaptive neural tracking controller is designed, which guarantees the uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) performance of the resulting closed-loop system. The effectiveness of the designed method is verified by simulations. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Road scene parsing is a crucial capability for self-driving vehicles and intelligent road inspection systems. Recent research has increasingly focused on enhancing driving safety and comfort by improving the detection of both drivable areas and road defects. This article reviews state-of-the-art networks developed over the past decade for both general-purpose semantic segmentation and specialized road scene parsing tasks. It also includes extensive experimental comparisons of these networks across five public datasets. Additionally, we explore the key challenges and emerging trends in the field, aiming to guide researchers toward developing next-generation models for more effective and reliable road scene parsing. © The Author(s) 2025.

The augmented Lagrangian method can be used for finding the least 2 - norm solution of a linear programming problem. This approach’s primary advantage is that it leads to the minimization of an unconstrained problem with a piecewise quadratic, convex, and differentiable objective function. However, this function lacks an ordinary Hessian, which precludes the use of a fast Newton method. In this paper, we apply the smoothing techniques and solve an unconstrained smooth reformulation of this problem using a fast Newton method. Computational results and comparisons are illustrated through multiple numerical examples to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
