Objectives. Enhancing police road traffic crash records with road traffic crash related data from other sources is of special importance. One of such sources are data on casualties' harm. However, it is time consuming to collect non-police data on casualties' harm, especially from scattered and structurally heterogeneous data resources. Thus, the objective of the work was to elaborate the concept of an appropriately organised central data acquisition system that refers to road crashes. After implementation, the system could support both road traffic safety research and road traffic safety decision making ***. The investigation has been conducted taking into account the need of research on road traffic safety in which information from external road traffic crash casualty data sources and police databases are linked. It enabled drawing the conclusion that record-level road crash casualty data from multiple providers are generally not organised and accessible at a national level. In order to address a possible solution to the problem, in the work a systematic approach was used, in which selected elements of the system analysis were adopted. The component parts (subsystems) of the central data acquisition system and their possible interactions were identified and examined. Then, the system requirements and constraints were ***. The scheme of the central system has been elaborated, the organisation of which would make the provision of both road crash data from police and road crash casualty data from administratively diverse units possible for any stakeholders. A diagram of the data transfer was described and a selection of key fields for the data integration was proposed. Purpose - The main goal is to identify the skin surface temperature in the steady state. Since two types of equations (Laplace and Helmholtz) are considered, it is necessary to derive the Trefftz functions (T-functions) for the Helmholtz equation in the cylindrical system of coordinates (whereas for the Laplace equation they are known).Design/methodology/approach - Approximate solutions of two problems are expressed in the form of linear combination of the T-functions with unknown coefficients. For each problem, minimizing the functional that describes the matching of an approximate solution to the boundary conditions leads to a system of algebraic equations for these ***/novelty - T-functions for the Helmholtz equation are derived. An infinite set of these functions is a complete set of functions. Approximate solutions for temperature of skin surface caused by inflammation are determined both when perfusion is and is not taken into *** implications - The method presented in the paper is simpler than the ones used in the literature. The applied method always leads to results that fit the physics of the problem described by the used governing ***/value - The T-functions for the Helmholtz equation in cylindrical coordinates have been reported in this paper for the first time. Innovativeness of railway transport in the context of the development of tourism in Poland

The article discusses the issue of innovation activities of companies in railway transport in Poland in the context of the development of tourism. Transport infrastructure and organization, along with economic, social, ecological and political factors, are the basic stimulators for the development of tourism. In literature on the subject, this problem is rarely discussed. This article is of a review and research nature. The aim of it is to consider the condition of innovativeness of railway transport companies in Poland in the context of its role in the development of tourism in Poland. To attain the goals of this research, a critical analysis of literature on the subject and desk research have been carried out, the latter drawing on the unpublished data of Statistics Poland, referring to Polish companies from section Transportation and storage, class Passenger rail transport, interurban (according to NACE rev.2). The data derive from the three latest editions of the Community Innovation Survey (CIS). In the article, there was used data concerning: innovation activity, types of innovation, co-operation during innovative activity, importance of the source of information for innovation activity, importance of the reasons and barriers to not innovate. The data analysis reveals a rather low level of innovativeness of railway transport companies in Poland. In the authors’ opinion, this state of affairs is connected with historical and political factors: the structure and failed reforms in this sector and granting development priority to other branches of transport during the structural transformation in Poland. © 2019, The Author(s).

This paper presents amethod for evaluatingthe innovation of enterprisesusing quantitative measures. It is applicable to detailedstudies in the process of forecasting and is an instrument for assessing individual companies. Itprovides knowledge that is useful for making"maps of innovation"and devising strategic plans for the development of states and regions. Enterprise innovation is assessed within two coupled functional groups - technological and intellectual using a six-level *** results of evaluation are presented graphically with a structure called the"map of innovation." The implementation of Customer Relationship management (CRM) Systems in clinical laboratories is crucial in improving customer relationships, service quality, and operational efficiency that aligns with a patient-centric care model. This study utilizes the PRISMA guidelines in reviewing and synthesizing 26 journal articles using the People, Process, Technology (PPT) framework to analyze the roles of people involved in clinical settings, the processes by which laboratory services were delivered, and the technological considerations enhancing patient care. Results revealed that the successful implementation of CRM systems in clinical laboratories depends on the aligned efforts of both developers and end-users. Subsequently, marketing processes and customer service were then found out to be crucial for the successful utilization of CRM systems in clinical laboratories. The features and the system integration techniques of CRM systems were found out to be vital in developing efficient operations, enhancing data analysis, and extending accessibility. The research gap analysis, on the one hand, shows that the effectiveness of CRM systems on the patients, the lack of qualitative methods, and the development of corrective actions to increase patient satisfaction are relevant areas of research concerns to optimize the effectiveness of implementing different CRM systems. © 2025

The incremental sensitivity analysis associated with variation of structure material parameters, shape or topology variation is generally discussed by analyzing the evolution of potential and complementary energies, or arbitrary functionals of state fields. The concept of configuration and sensitivity generalized forces is used in presenting the sensitivity derivatives. The general reciprocity relations are derived for the case of potential or complementary energy variations. The topology variations in bar structures related to introduction of elements and introduction of inclusions and voids in plates are discussed, and the sensitivity forces are derived. ©The Author(s) 2012.

A method for evaluating the stability of the voice by analysing individual single period of a periodic signal had been described in this paper. The assessment of the stability of the human voice is of great importance in speech therapy, neurology, as well as in voice-controlled systems and public security. The duration of this oscillation is contained within a few milliseconds. The objective of the study was defined as the evaluation of the stability of the human voice with the use of Fourier transforms. The biggest problem was the breakdown of the recording to the smallest unit in such a way as to division method in a minimal way has affected the final results. Subsequently a preponderance the methods for assessing the stability of voice based on the FFT had been revealed. The results were compared to those obtained on a standard way, with using a statistical analysis, and conclusions were formed concerning the usefulness of this method. © 2019 IEEE.

In the paper, dynamic investigations of multi-mass discrete-continuous systems torsionally deformed are performed taking into account the position-dependent mass moment of inertia of one of rigid bodies. It is assumed that the rigid body representing a motor moves with a variable velocity. An originally nonlinear problem is linearized, and the wave approach leading to solving equations with a retarded argument having variable coefficients is used for the solution. Exemplary numerical calculations are done for a three-mass system.

The paper presents an approximate method of solving direct and inverse problems which are described by a non-homogenous plate vibration equation. The key idea of the presented approach is to use solving polynomials that satisfy the considered homogenous differential equation identically. Inhomogeneity is expanded into the Taylor series and then, for each monomial, the inverse operator is calculated. In the paper, the properties of solving functions are investigated - A theorem concerning their linear independence is formulated and proved. The method of identification of the load (source) is described. It belongs to the group of inverse problems. The paper includes examples which illustrate the usefulness of the method.

Homotopy perturbation method combined with Trefftz method in numerical identification of liquid temperature in flow boiling

The paper is focused on numerical identification of 2D temperature fields in flow boiling of the liquid through a horizontal minichannel with a rectangular cross-section. The heat transfer process in the minichannel is described by a two-dimensional energy equation with the corresponding boundary conditions. Liquid temperature is determined using the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) with Trefftz functions for Laplace'a equation. The numerical solution to the energy equation found with the HPM is compared with the solution obtained for the simplified form of the energy equation. Considering that only the thermal sublayer is taken into account, both solutions give similar results.
