Objectives. Enhancing police road traffic crash records with road traffic crash related data from other sources is of special importance. One of such sources are data on casualties' harm. However, it is time consuming to collect non-police data on casualties' harm, especially from scattered and structurally heterogeneous data resources. Thus, the objective of the work was to elaborate the concept of an appropriately organised central data acquisition system that refers to road crashes. After implementation, the system could support both road traffic safety research and road traffic safety decision making ***. The investigation has been conducted taking into account the need of research on road traffic safety in which information from external road traffic crash casualty data sources and police databases are linked. It enabled drawing the conclusion that record-level road crash casualty data from multiple providers are generally not organised and accessible at a national level. In order to address a possible solution to the problem, in the work a systematic approach was used, in which selected elements of the system analysis were adopted. The component parts (subsystems) of the central data acquisition system and their possible interactions were identified and examined. Then, the system requirements and constraints were ***. In the paper, dynamic investigations of multi-mass discrete-continuous systems torsionally deformed are performed taking into account the position-dependent mass moment of inertia of one of rigid bodies. It is assumed that the rigid body representing a motor moves with a variable velocity. The paper presents an approximate method of solving direct and inverse problems which are described by a non-homogenous plate vibration equation. The key idea of the presented approach is to use solving polynomials that satisfy the considered homogenous differential equation identically. Inhomogeneity is expanded into the Taylor series and then, for each monomial, the inverse operator is calculated. In the paper, the properties of solving functions are investigated - A theorem concerning their linear independence is formulated and proved. The method of identification of the load (source) is described. It belongs to the group of inverse problems. The paper includes examples which illustrate the usefulness of the method.

The paper is focused on numerical identification of 2D temperature fields in flow boiling of the liquid through a horizontal minichannel with a rectangular cross-section. The heat transfer process in the minichannel is described by a two-dimensional energy equation with the corresponding boundary conditions. Liquid temperature is determined using the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) with Trefftz functions for Laplace'a equation. The numerical solution to the energy equation found with the HPM is compared with the solution obtained for the simplified form of the energy equation. Considering that only the thermal sublayer is taken into account, both solutions give similar results.
