Identification of individual turtles for population studies usually uses fin tags or other physical markers. Since this method is not very practical, we are studying different convolutional neural networks (CNN) to identify individual images of turtles by using transfer learning networks AlexNet, GoogleNet, VGG-19 Net and ResNet50. Sea turtles, unlike other animals, have unique facial patterns, making them excellent prospects for feature recognition. This study examined 1426 images of right facial scutes from 20 classes of turtles. Experiments with high-quality, low-quality and a mixture of both image qualities were conducted to test the performance of different CNNs. The ResNet50 technique achieved 95.3% accuracy with a mixed dataset, and AlexNet obtained the highest accuracy with high-quality image dataset (97.74%). The VGG19 network, on the other hand, performed well for dataset containing low-quality images with 91.82% accuracy. Experiments have shown different results for each data set. However, considering the uncertainty in a real underwater environment where the captured image quality is sometimes high and sometimes low, the ResNet50 network addresses this task-related problem as it has achieved the highest accuracy for the mixed dataset. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Spam has turned into a big predicament these days,due to the increase in the number of spam emails,as the recipient regularly receives piles of *** only is spam wasting users’time and *** addition,it limits the storage space of the email box as well as the disk ***,spam detection is a challenge for individuals and organizations *** advance spam email detection,this work proposes a new spam detection approach,using the grasshopper optimization algorithm(GOA)in training a multilayer perceptron(MLP)classifier for categorizing emails as ham and ***,MLP and GOA produce an artificial neural network(ANN)model,referred to(GOAMLP).Two corpora are applied Spam Base and UK-2011Web spam for this ***,the finding represents evidence that the proposed spam detection approach has achieved a better level in spam detection than the status of the art.

Mathematical Model for Scheduling Problems: A Compatibility Test on University Course Timetabling Problem 1

The study presents the application of a general mathematical model previously developed for another set of timetabling problem which is the University Course Timetabling (UCT). The aim of this study is to extend the validation process of the formulated model using a standard Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). A real public university course timetabling problem was used as our case study. All data was gathered and analysed before embedded to the general model and solved optimally using the AIMMS mathematical software with CPLEX as the solver to a personal laptop of 2.20 GHz and 4.95 GB RAM. The data consists of 27 programmes, 449 core courses, 59 rooms and 70 time slots. An optimal standard university course timetable was produced within a few minutes of CPU time. Optimality denotes that the courses were assigned to the preferred slots and rooms, while fulfilling requirements such as the university’s policies, and other demands of all parties involved. With the timetable produced, it is proven of the capability of the mathematical model developed in solving timetabling problems. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Today's digitised world is concerned with software products that highlight sustainability and green compliance with social requirements and expectations. Literature investigations reveal that many studies have focussed on green hardware. Nevertheless, little effort was proposed to ensure the greenness of software that complies with the specification. Green software products are essential because they may address issues related to sustainability and ensure that software can be used indefinitely. According to the current literature, investigations on the social sustainability of software products still have a deficit. The green elements are still needed for further investigation in the scope of green assessment of software products. This study aims to identify the principal factor and measurements of the social sustainability requirements of a green software product. The analysis of the factor and measurements shows strong relationships between them. Knowledge representation and reasoning require knowledge graph embedding as it is crucial in the area. It involves mapping entities and relationships from a knowledge graph into vectors of lower dimensions that are continuous in nature. This encoding enables machine learning algorithms to effectively reason and make predictions on graph-structured data. This review article offers an overview and critical analysis specifically about the methods of knowledge graph embedding which are TransE, TransH, and TransR. The key concepts, methodologies, strengths, and limitations of these methods, along with examining their applications and experiments conducted by existing researchers have been studied. The motivation to conduct this study is to review the well-known and most applied knowledge embedding methods and compare the features of those methods so that a comprehensive resource for researchers and practitioners interested in delving into knowledge graph embedding techniques is delivered. © 2023 IEEE.

Properly created and securely communicated,non-disclosure agreement(NDA)can resolve most of the common disputes related to outsourcing of offshore software maintenance(OSMO).Occasionally,these NDAs are in the form of *** the work is done offshore,these agreements or images must be shared through the Internet or stored over the *** breach of privacy,on the other hand,is a potential threat for the image owners as both the Internet and cloud servers are not void of *** article proposes a novel algorithm for securing the NDAs in the form of *** an agreement is signed between the two parties,it will be encrypted before sending to the cloud server or travelling through the public network,the *** the image is input to the algorithm,its pixels would be scrambled through the set of randomly generated rectangles for an arbitrary amount of *** confusion effects have been realized through an XOR operation between the confused image,and chaotic ***,5D multi-wing hyperchaotic system has been employed to spawn the chaotic vectors due to good properties of chaoticity it *** machine experimentation and the security analysis through a comprehensive set of validation metric vividly demonstrate the robustness,defiance to the multifarious threats and the prospects for some real-world application of the proposed encryption algorithm for the NDA images.

Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is a photovoltaic device that can be produced from natural source pigments or natural dyes. The selection of natural dyes for DSSC application is currently under research. The utilization of natural dye materials that are easy to obtain, cost-effective, and non-toxic can reduce waste during DSSC fabrication. Natural dyes can be extracted from plants through extraction and chromatography methods. The suitability and viability of utilizing natural dyes as photosensitizers in DSSCs can be predicted using appropriate software simulation by varying related parameters to produce high power conversion efficiency. In this context, the purpose of the review is to highlight the evolution of performance improvement in the development of DSSCs with consideration of natural dye extraction and software simulation. This review also focuses on the results of extracting natural dyes from herbal ingredients, which are still very limited in information, and several parts of herbal plants that can be used as natural dye sources in the future of solid-state DSSCs have been identified. Based on the results of this review, the highest efficiency was obtained for the DSSC that used chlorophyll pigments as natural dyes using Peltophorum pterocarpum leaves with 6.07%, followed by anthocyanin pigments as natural dyes using raspberries (black) fruits with 1.5%, flavonoid pigments as natural dyes using Curcuma longa herbs with 0.64%, and flavonoid pigments as natural dyes using Indigofera tinctoria flowers with 0.46%. The decommissioning of offshore platforms is becoming more popular due to the lack of productive fields and the unpredictability of oil prices. The Rigs-to-Reef (RTR) program, which is part of the oil and gas company’s decommissioning method, involves turning jacket platforms into artificial reefs. This program creates shelter for marine life and subsequently increases marine production. However, the sediment scours around the jacket platform are one of the problems to be concerned about because it will result in RTR program failure. In this study, the seabed profile around the jacket platform was investigated using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). The simulation of the seabed scour and the deposition around, were conducted using different arrangements of jacket platform. The results showed that the flow velocity decreased when the flow was obstructed in front of the jacket platform. A horseshoe vortex occurred, then developed in front of the cylinder. The flow accelerated on the opposite side of the jacket structure, causing significant scour around the structure as well as bed shear stress. Finally, the vertical jacket platforms showed a significantly lower scour and deposition than the horizontal position. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The problem of reasoning under uncertainty is widely recognised as significant in information technology, and a wide range of methods has been proposed to address this problem. Uncertainty happens when imperfect information is the only available source to solve it using quantitative methods. Therefore, there is a need to implement a qualitative method when no numerical information is available. Linguistic uncertainties related to the qualitative part must be considered and managed wisely. Such uncertainty commonly involves in decision-making problem which depends on human perceptions. This study explores the relationship and difference between two variables, namely the level of uncertainty to the input and the output changes based on multi-criteria decision analysis. There is a positive relationship between these two variables. The novel generation interval type-2 fuzzy membership function technique is proposed based on this. It can accurately map the decision maker’s perceptions to the fuzzy set model, reducing the potential for loss of information. In literature, the output ranking of the system is presented as a crisp number. However, this study proposed a new form of output in interval form based on multi-criteria decision analysis. Overall, this study provides new insight into how we should not ignore uncertainty when it affects the input. It provides an intelligent way to map human perceptions to the system using a fuzzy set. © 2023 by SCITEPRESS – Science and technology Publications, Lda.
