In this work, we study the resource allocation problem for downlink in 5G New Radio (NR) mobile networks in the case of orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA). One of the key features of 5G mobile networks is the usage of antenna arrays that allows them to form beams in a specific direction and send data to several users at the same transmission time interval (TTI) via the same carrier or resource block (RB). Antenna arrays usually contain up to 64 single antennas. We have been modeled the process of the data transmission from the cell to the user device or user equipment (UE), have been formulated mathematical abstraction of the resource allocation problem, and have been proposed a lightweight algorithm that uses a proportional fair metric.

The Jagiellonian positron emission tomograph (J-PET) is a multi-purpose device built out of plastic scintillators. With large acceptance and high angular resolution, it is suitable for the studies of various phenomena such as discrete symmetries in decay of positronium atom or entangled states of photons as well as medical imaging. J-PET enables the measurement of momenta together with photon polarization related observables. Large acceptance and high granularity of the J-PET detector enables measurement of ortho-positronium decays into three photons in the whole phase-space. In this paper we present the search of the C-forbidden decays of positronium with the J-PET detector. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

It is of interest to study how contextual quantum mechanics is, in terms of the violation of Kochen Specker state-independent and state-dependent non-contextuality inequalities. We present state-independent non-contextuality inequalities with large violations, in particular, we exploit a connection between Kochen-Specker proofs and pseudo-telepathy games to show KS proofs in Hilbert spaces of dimension d ≥ 217 with the ratio of quantum value to classical bias being O(√d/log d). We study the properties of this KS set and show applications of the large violation. It has been recently shown that Kochen-Specker proofs always consist of substructures of state-dependent contextuality proofs called 01-gadgets or bugs. We show a one-to-one connection between 01-gadgets in ℂd and Hardy paradoxes for the maximally entangled state in ℂd ⊗ℂd. We use this connection to construct large violation 01-gadgets between arbitrary vectors in ℂd, as well as novel Hardy paradoxes for the maximally entangled state in ℂd ⊗ ℂd, and give applications of these constructions. As a technical result, we show that the minimum dimension of the faithful orthogonal representation of a graph in d is not a graph monotone, a result that that may be of independent interest. Using the wounded nucleon, quark, and quark-diquark models, we extract the wounded source emission functions from the PHOBOS data for d+Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV. We apply these models to compute charged particle multiplicity distributions as functions of pseudorapidity for p+p, p+Al, p+Au, d+Au, 3He+Au, Cu+Cu, Cu+Au, Au+Au, and U+U collisions at the same energy and compare them with experimental data from the PHOBOS and PHENIX collaborations. In symmetric collisions of heavy nuclei, the obtained distributions differ among the tested models. On the other hand, in asymmetric collisions, all three models give essentially the same distributions. The wounded quark-diquark and quark models are in reasonable agreement with data for all the investigated systems. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3interface exhibits gate tunable superconductivity with a domelike shape of TCas a function of electron concentration. Here, we propose that the experimentally observed behavior can be explained as a direct effect of the dominant extended s-wave symmetry of the superconducting gap. Our results quantitatively agree with the experimental data. Additionally, our calculations based on both the Hartee-Fock and the Guzwiller approximations show that the influence of electronic correlations on the paired state in the considered system is not that crucial as commonly believed. We simultaneously measured the spatially-resolved CO-to-H2 conversion factor (αCO) and dust-to-gas ratio (DGR) in nearby galaxies on a kiloparsec scale. In this study, we used 12CO(J = 1 − 0) data obtained by the Nobeyama 45-m radio telescope with Hi and dust mass surface densities. We obtained the values of global αCO and DGR in 22 nearby spiral galaxies, with averages of 2.66 ± 1.36 M pc−2 (K km s−1)−1and 0.0052 ± 0.0026, respectively. Furthermore, the radial variations of αCO and DGR in four barred spiral galaxies (IC 342, NGC 3627, NGC 5236, and NGC 6946) were obtained by dividing them into the inner and outer regions with a boundary of 0.2R25, where R25 is the isophotal radius at 25 mag arcsec−2 in the B band. The averages of αCO and DGR in the inner region (≤ 0.2R25) are 0.36 ± 0.08 M pc−2 (K km s−1)−1 and 0.0199 ± 0.0058, while those in the outer region (> 0.2R25) are 1.49 ± 0.76 M pc−2 (K km s−1)−1 and 0.0084 ± 0.0037, respectively. The value of αCO in the outer region is 2.3 to 5.3 times larger than that of the inner region. When separated into the inner and outer regions, we find that αCO and DGR correlate with the metallicity and the star formation rate surface density. The value of αCO derived in this study tends to be smaller than those obtained in previous studies for the Milky Way and nearby star-forming galaxies. This fact can be attributed to our measurements being biased toward the inner region;we measured αCO at 0.85 and 0.76 times smaller in radius than the previous works for nearby star-forming galaxies and the Milky Way, respectively. Reservoir computing is an emerging, but very successful approach towards processing and classification of various signals. It can be described as a model of a transient computation, where influence of input changes internal dynamics of chosen computational reservoir. Trajectory of these changes represents computation performed by the system. The selection of a suitable computational substrate capable of non-linear response and rich internal dynamics ensures the implementation of simple readout protocols. Signal evolution based on the rich dynamics of the reservoir layer helps to emphasize differences between given signals thus enabling their easier classification. Here we present a simple reservoir computing system (single node echo-state machine) implemented on Multisim platform as a tool for classification of musical intervals according to their consonant or dissonant character. The result of this classification closely resembled sensory dissonance curve, with some significant differences. A deeper analysis of the received signals indicates the geometric relationships between the consonant and dissonant intervals, enabling their classification. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. A search for the doubly charmed baryon ?cc+ with the decay mode c Ω_(cc)^(+)→ Ξc+K-π+ is performed using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb-1. No significant signal is observed within the invariant mass range of 3.6 to 4.0 GeV/c2. Upper limits are set on the ratio R of the production cross-section times the total branching fraction of the Ω_(cc)^(+)→ Ξc+K-π+ decay with respect to the Ξcc++→ Λc+K-π+π+ decay. Upper limits at 95% credibility level for R in the range 0.005 to 0.11 are obtained for diferent hypotheses on the ?cc+ mass and lifetime in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and transverse momentum range from 4 to 15 GeV/c.

Fundamental investigations in non-locality have shown that while the no-signaling principle alone is not sufficient to single out the set of quantum non-local correlations, local quantum mechanics and no-signaling together exactly reproduce the set of quantum correlations in the two-party Bell scenario. Here, we introduce and study an intermediate hybrid no-signaling quantum set of non-local correlations that we term HNSQ in the multi-party Bell scenario where some subsystems are locally quantum while the remaining subsystems are only constrained by the no-signaling principle. Specifically, the set HNSQ is a super-quantum set of correlations derived from no-signaling assemblages by performing quantum measurements on the trusted subsystems. As a tool for optimization over the set HNSQ, we introduce an outer hierarchy of semi-definite programming approximations to the set following an approach put forward by Doherty-Parillo-Spedalieri. We then show that in contrast to the set NS of no-signaling correlations, there exist extreme points of HNSQ in the tripartite Bell scenario that admit quantum realization. We perform an extensive numerical analysis of the maximal violation of the facet Bell inequalities in the three-party binary input-output scenario and study the corresponding self-testing properties. In contrast to the usual no-signaling correlations, the new set allows for simple security proofs of (one-sided)-device-independent applications against super-quantum adversaries.
