Spin and orbital contributions to the magnetic moment of rhenium have been studied across the magnetostructural transition in Ca2FeReO6 double perovskite employing x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) at the Re L2,3 edges. Temperature-dependent measurements performed in pulsed magnetic field varying from 6.8 to 30 T revealed that the two phases of this compound are characterized by a different spin-orbit coupling. At T=10 K, the average orbital-to-spin moment ratio of the Re sublattice increases in the application of 30 T magnetic field by ∼5%, while at T=250 K it is field independent and amounts to |mL/mS|=0.362(6). The field and temperature dependences of the rhenium XMCD and bulk magnetization are explained within the scenario of a field-induced phase coexistence and transition between two monoclinic phases of diverse magnetocrystalline coupling.

Further,computer-assisted techniques and image processing methods can be used for image filtering and for feature extraction and pattern recognition in the selected *** from standard approaches based on geometrical features and color/pattern analysis we propose to enhance the computer-aided diagnostic tools by adding non-standard image decompositions and applying classification techniques based on statistical learning and model *** of classifiers based on the extended feature set show improved performance figures suggesting that the proposed approach could be used as powerful tool assisting medical diagnosis.

We elucidate the amphoteric nature of antimony as a dopant in PbTe. Band-structure calculations show that Sb substituting for Pb is a donor and that Sb on the Te site is an acceptor giving rise to a large excess density of states (DOS). Experimentally, in Te-rich Pb1−xSbxTe samples, T125e NMR spectroscopy shows that Sb substitutes for Pb and transport data reveal that it then acts as a simple donor. In Pb-rich PbSbxTe1−x samples, T125e NMR shows that little Sb substitutes for Te when samples are prepared above 770 K and then quenched; P207b NMR shows four types of charge carriers, but only a majority hole and a minority electron contribute to transport. Sb acts as an acceptor in PbSbxTe1−x, but the large DOS calculated must correspond to a large concentration of localized holes and the Seebeck coefficient is not enhanced.

In the present work static and spherically symmetric magnetically charged black holes coupled to Euler‐Heisenberg type non‐linear electrodynamics in the scalar‐tensor theories of gravity with massive scalar field are investigated numerically. For the numerical solving of the corresponding boundary‐value problem with free boundary the Continuous Analogue of Newton Method is used. As a result of the numerical experiments some general properties of the solutions were found.

In the present, work we find new numerical solutions describing soliton‐like objects coupled to non‐linear electrodynamics in the scalar‐tensor theories of gravity. Approximate solutions have been also obtained and a comparison to the numerical results has been made. The non‐existence of black holes for the specific choice of lagrangian of the nonlinear electrodynamics has been also proved.

Phases of scalar‐tensor black holes coupled to non‐linear electrodynamics where recently obtained and thermodynamical analysis of the obtained solutions was performed. Our task is to study numerically the linear stability of the solutions which has trivial scalar field. The obtained singular Sturm‐Liouville problem is solved with a modifications of the shooting method. Results are obtained and they are in a good agreement with the predictions of the thermodynamical analysis.
