The majority of information technology organizations nowadays prefer cloud computing as their main choice due to improvements in information technology. However, as a result of cloud computing's vast and open architecture, which makes it vulnerable to hacker attacks, the security of data remains an important concern. As a consequence, ensuring the security and integrity of data has become crucial while constructing an abnormal intrusion detection system utilizing machine learning algorithms represents a method to potentially detect intrusions. Recurring clouding as well as prevention. Using machine learning algorithms and revised intrusion datasets is necessary to overcome the challenge of finding effective and optimal network intrusion detection systems. The White Shark Optimization approach works along with Support Vector Machines (SVM). The suggested algorithm's effectiveness is assessed using metrics including accuracy and recall. When results of previous research employing both of the two datasets (NSL-KDD and Kyoto) for predicting the detection of abnormal infiltration are compared to the proposed algorithm based on SVM, it is determined that the white shark optimization algorithm produced the best accuracy, at 99.8%. © 2024 IEEE.

Assessing soil radioactivity and associated risks in areas surrounding gas fields is essential due to potential natural radionuclide accumulation during extraction activities. This study investigates the radioactivity levels in surface soil from the Haripur gas field. 21 soil samples were analyzed using a high purity germanium (HPGe) detector. The activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K in the soil samples were found to range between 11–19, 20–38, and 280–500 Bq kg–1, respectively. All 226Ra values and the majority of 232Th and 40K values fell within the global average levels for soil, which are 35, 30, and 400 Bq kg–1, respectively. Radiation hazard indices were found to be below the internationally accepted safety limits set by organizations such as the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) and the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), indicating that the soil poses no significant radiological risks for construction and agricultural applications. This research offers essential baseline data on soil radioactivity at the Haripur gas field, supporting public health, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance efforts. © 2025 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

In recent years, due to the scarcity of domestic radioisotopes, the Chinese government has strongly supported the development of dedicated radioisotope production facilities. This paper presents conceptual design simulations of an 11 MeV, 50 μA,H-compact superconducting cyclotron for radioisotope production. This paper focuses primarily on four aspects: magnet system design, central region configuration, beam dynamics analysis, and extraction system design. This paper outlines the cyclotron's primary parameters and key steps in the development process.

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is a combinatorial optimization problem and a NP-complete problem. It is a well-known problem for comparison of algorithm performance. Many researchers try to solve the TSP by the meta-heuristic algorithms. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm is a popular method to solve the TSP. To enhance performance of ACO for solving TSP, the recently proposed improving the ACO algorithm by the results from searching for 2-OPT algorithms that are applied with pheromones of ants. Moreover, when the population of ACO occurs trapping in local optimum, the pheromone of ants is re-initialized to solve trapping in local optimum problem. This algorithm is called Modified Ant Colony Optimization with updating Pheromone by Leader and Re-initialization Pheromone (MACO-LR). However, performance searching of MACO-LR can be improved. In this research, we propose to solve TSP using Hybrid Genetic Algorithm and Ant Colony Algorithm (HGAACO) to optimize the total travelled distance. The proposed technique is tested on twenty-three maps from the Traveling Salesman Problem Library (TSPLIB) and it is composed with MACO-LR. The results from the experiment show the proposed technique can enhance performance searching of MACO-LR. © 2024 IEEE.

In the past few years, image processing has been widely adopted for symptom diagnosis of medical application. To achieve accurate analysis, the medical applications require high quality image for applying to the symptom diagnosis applications. However, the medical image quality may drop due to the imperfection of devices and the environment. Noise is one of the most critical factors that reduces the image quality where the noise may form by combining two types of noises. In this paper, we considered four well-known mixed noise filters including TF, BM3D, NCSR and OSBF filters. Since the OSBF filter is the alternative version of SBF filter that requires to determine the optimal weights, therefore we first determine the optimal weights for the medical image under the combination of Gaussian noise and salt-and-pepper noise. Then, we evaluate the filtering performance under three metrics including PSNR, SSIM and filtering time. As a result, OSBF filter achieves the best filtering performance since it can reduce the noise effect, preserve image details and consumes the short filtering time. On the other hand, the filtering performance of the TF filter suffers from the combining of salt-and-pepper noise. © 2024 IEEE.

The motivation of this research is to study the effect of suction process on a growing gas bubble and concentration distribution around this bubble in tissues of divers who surface too *** effect of bubble motion is also *** method of combined variables is used to solve the problem by combining the radial and time variables into one variable by using a suitable similarity transformation that enables to divide the diffusion equation into two ODEs,the first concerns to concentration distribution and the other concerns to the bubble radius *** resultant formulae are valid for both growth stages whenever the ambient pressure is variable at ascending of the diver,or constant as the diving stops or at *** effects of physical parameters are discussed when applying suction process and show that the dominant parameter is the initial void *** research findings reveal the role of suction process to activate the systemic blood circulation and delay the growth of gas bubbles in the tissues and reduce the incidence of decompression illness(DCI).This research also provides evidenceand agrees with the previous experimental studies to support the use of suction therapy to reduce the DCI harmful effects.

Extracting parameters accurately and effectively from solar photovoltaic (PV) models is crucial for detailed simulation, evaluation, and management of PV systems. Although there has been an increase in the development of analytical, numerical, and metaheuristic methods targeting this task, accurately determining these parameters continues to be a significant challenge. This study focuses on applying Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the extraction of key parameters of RTC France solar cells, a critical step towards enhancing PV system efficiency and reliability. Additionally, the PSO's performance is evaluated against other metaheuristic algorithms including Enhanced Chaotic JAYA (CJAYA), Performance-Guided JAYA (PGJAYA), and Enhanced Gradient-Based Optimizer (EGBO), underscoring the effectiveness of the proposed PSO-based approach. Segmenting a breast ultrasound image is still challenging due to the presence of speckle noise,dependency on the operator,and the variation of image *** paper presents the UltraSegNet architecture that addresses these challenges through three key technical innovations:This work adds three things:(1)a changed ResNet-50 backbone with sequential 3×3 convolutions to keep fine anatomical details that are needed for finding lesion boundaries;(2)a computationally efficient regional attention mechanism that works on high-resolution features without using a transformer’s extra memory;and(3)an adaptive feature fusion strategy that changes local and global featuresbasedonhowthe image isbeing *** evaluation on two distinct datasets demonstrates UltraSegNet’s superior performance:On the BUSI dataset,it obtains a precision of 0.915,a recall of 0.908,and an F1 score of *** the UDAIT dataset,it achieves robust performance across the board,with a precision of 0.901 and recall of ***,these improvements are achieved at clinically feasible computation times,taking 235 ms per image on standard GPU ***,UltraSegNet does amazingly well on difficult small lesions(less than 10 mm),achieving a detection accuracy of *** is a huge improvement over traditional methods that have a hard time with small-scale features,as standard models can only achieve 0.63–0.71 *** improvement in small lesion detection is particularly crucial for early-stage breast cancer *** from this work demonstrate that UltraSegNet can be practically deployable in clinical workflows to improve breast cancer screening accuracy.
