A flap gate weir commonly use to raise the level of a river or stream. It is a device that is used to regulate the flow of water in a river. It is typically located at the upstream of the river. Basically, flap gate weir is submerged under water, so hydrostatic force acting on submerged surfaces weir. The traditional design and analysis the resultant force acting on a submerged weir surface must specify magnitude of the force, direction of the force and line action of the force all is assumed on 2D which take long time calculation and might mistake. The aims of this paper is using finite element method design and study the flap gate weir structure instead of traditional analysis. In this paper the 3D model of flap gate weir was created by SolidWorks as assembly of flap gate weir which the flap gate weir was inclined 30 degrees and imported into Ansys Workbench for boundary conditions and calculations. The result from Ansys is used to find the specific hydraulic cylinder as the system needed. And modal analysis to check the vibration of the flap gate weir. By using finite element analysis the results study is satisfy by get results faster, know total deformation, know weak point and know where reinforce pad should put in and saving cost of materials when compare with traditional analysis. © 2024 Institute of physics Publishing. Sequential Recommender Systems (SRS), leveraging the temporal information from users' behaviors, have noticeably improved user experience against traditional systems. However, these behaviors often follow long-tail distribution, making the systems biased towards popular items (i.e., popularity bias). Moreover, popularity bias would amplify the neglect of long-tail recommendations, thereby sharpening the long-tail problem. Previous researches usually address these challenges independently, focusing on reducing the over-recommendation of popular items or enhancing the representation quality of tail items. Indeed, it is possible to incorporate their merits to achieve the best of both worlds. Thus, we propose a novel and unified framework, named Collaborative Solution to Long tailed problem and Popularity bias (CSLP), to tackle both the long-tail problem and popularity bias simultaneously. To achieve this, we first introduce a representation enhancement module featuring dual generators to enhance user and item representations, particularly for those in the tail. On the other hand, a debiasing module incorporating an Inverse Propensity Score (IPS) with a clipping strategy is introduced to further alleviate the popularity bias. Specifically, this clipping strategy demonstrates a clear decrease in the original IPS method's variance, effectively improving the recommendation for stability and accuracy. Experiments on three widely-used datasets show CSLP's effectiveness in solving both issues. CSLP surpasses all baselines (traditional, popularity bias, and long-tail problem) in overall performance, significantly enhancing recommendation accuracy for both tail users and items, and achieving a more balanced ratio of recommendations between popular and tail items. Nowadays, many products in the medical area are disposable, such as needles, daily contact lenses, disposable ultra-thin surgical scalpel blades, infusion tubes. With the increasing demand in the market, manufacturers are striving to enhance production output while maintaining acceptable quality standards. Consequently, the implementation of an automatic inspection system for these products has become imperative. The main challenge with automatic quality inspection systems is the input data, consisting mainly of images captured during production. Image processing algorithms or deep learning models are used to analyze these images, classifying the products as "pass" or "fail" based on the inspection results. To minimize inspection time, high-quality input images are crucial, clearly distinguishing defects from the background. The optical system used for inspection must be carefully designed, considering the unique characteristics of each product, such as surface properties and external features that may pose challenges. In this article, we present a research study in which an optical system is designed using Dark Field, Coaxial and Dome lighting techniques to highlight defects on disposable surgical scalpel blades with metallic reflection surface. The Dark Field technique effectively reveals missing portions, cracks, or fractures on the cutting edge, while Coaxial lighting detects faults on the blade body. The Dome lighting technique provides illumination, preventing reflections on the metallic surface. We employed the Dome technique to inspect the quality of printed details on the aluminum foil sheet of the sealed blade’s pocket. The resulting images enable efficient defect detection due to their well-highlighted nature. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG. 2024.

This scientific paper examines the use of collaborative robots in the context of Industry 5.0 and its impact on practical engineering education. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance as well as the challenges of using robots in Industry 5.0 and to analyze how this can be integrated into engineering education. The paper discusses various aspects such as the technological advances, the need for interaction between humans and robots, and the competencies that engineers need in an increasingly digitalized working world. Furthermore, practical methods and approaches in engineering education at the Zittau/Görlitz University of applied sciences are presented to prepare students for the requirements of Industry 5.0. Additionally, a draft of a future interdisciplinary learning factory 5.0 will be presented, in which networked technologies with the focus on robotics run through various scenarios in the context of Industry 5.0 at different locations. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently,significant efforts have been exerted to replace mineral oil with environmentally friendly oils due to safety and environmental ***,there is a need to clarify the physical mechanisms behind the ageing impact of these *** authors use advanced optical spectroscopy techniques in correlation with dielectric measurements to understand the ageing processes in environmentally friendly oils as well as mineral ***,different samples of environmentally friendly oils and mineral oil were utilised to investigate the ageing *** samples were subjected to different ageing periods using a thermal accelerated ageing ***,the severity of the produced byproducts due to the oil degradation is examined based on several measured properties representing macroscopic and microscopic *** macroscopic category was evaluated through dielectric properties,including breakdown voltage,dielectric permittivity,and dissipation *** microscopic category,on the other hand,was assessed using techniques such as ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence *** techniques enabled a deep understanding of the molecular-level changes occurring in the oil under ageing conditions,thereby getting new insights into oil ageing *** is worth mentioning that natural ester oil demonstrated the most favourable performance across various properties under ageing conditions.

this study investigates the effectiveness of various training algorithms for engineering simulations and integrates the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle to Grid system into its energy management objectives. The system, linking fuel cell electric vehicles to the grid, is examined alongside neural fitting techniques using MATLAB R2019a version. The Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm stands out with a training error of 0.00073 and a correlation rate of 99.907%. During validation and testing, it maintains high correlation rates of 99.917 % and 99.907 %, with minimal errors of 0.0013 and 0.0007, respectively. Bayesian Regularization shows promise with a training error of +0.00092 and a correlation rate of 99.884%, but concerns arise due to a marginal test correlation rate of 99.618% and a negative error of -0.000012. In contrast, the Scaled Conjugate Gradient algorithm performs less favourably, with a training error of +0.016 and a correlation rate of 98.064 %. Validation rates drop significantly to 9.129 %, with an error of 0.012, and testing reveals a correlation rate of 97.193% with an error of 0.28. The Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm demonstrates supremacy in neural fitting, with a remarkable correlation rate of 99.909%. Although Bayesian Regularization shows lower error values, Levenberg-Marquardt's validation metrics reinforce its dominance, with a best performance of 0.00081724 for mean squared error. In summary, the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm emerges as highly effective for energy management simulations, offering superior correlation rates and minimal errors compared to Bayesian Regularization and Scaled Conjugate Gradient. © 2024 IEEE.

The (3 + 1)-dimensional generalized shallow water equation is a significant mathematical framework for analyzing the dynamic behavior of waves in ocean physics. The purpose of this article is to investigate some more generic soliton solutions of the generalized shallow water-like model in three dimensions. The investigation is conducted utilizing the sophisticated mathematical methodology known as the double variables (Formula presented.) expansion technique. With this approach, we produce new propagating wave solutions for this model in the form of hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational functions. In addition, we offer two- and three-dimensional graphical representations to help visualize the intricate physical phenomena of the system. We have constructed many soliton solutions, such as kink shape soliton solutions, anti-bell shape solutions, single periodic solutions, singular soliton solutions, and anti-kink shape solutions for different values of the free parameters involved in the obtained solutions. These graphical representations are predicated on certain parameter selections, which facilitate the understanding of the complicated general behavior for this model. Through the presentation of new findings in the field of soliton solutions for the aforementioned equation, this paper offers fresh perspectives and highlights hitherto overlooked aspects of this fascinating mathematical challenge. The paper illuminates new results on soliton solutions with different geometrical structures for the given equation, revealing hitherto overlooked facets of this intriguing mathematical challenge. © 2024 The Author(s). Conventional fiber Bragg grating (FBG) accelerometer demodulation often suffers from high environmental sensitivity, complexity, and cost. To address these issues, this paper presents two arrayed waveguide grating (AWG)-based dynamic spectral reconstruction models. First, a novel differential FBG accelerometer with an equal-intensity triangular cantilever beam and a symmetric string-like design enhances sensitivity and mitigates temperature interference. A power ratio-nonlinear logarithmic regression (PR-NLR) model derived from static calibration then enables spectral reconstruction and wavelength demodulation across varying accelerations, achieving 4-82pm accuracy, slightly below that of high-speed demodulators (HSD). Next, by integrating convolutional neural networks (CNN), bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM), attention mechanisms, and a generative adversarial network (GAN) for data augmentation, prediction errors drop to 1-26pm at 20Hz and 0.2-21pm at 40Hz-a reduction of at least 60% over PR-NLR. This outcome underscores the advantages of deep learning (DL) in managing complex spectral shifts. By overcoming frequency-only demodulation limits, the proposed AWG approach achieves precise wavelength demodulation through dynamic spectral reconstruction. Its compact design, low manufacturing cost, and robust performance facilitate scalable deployment in structural health monitoring, particularly for bridge vibration analysis and industrial machinery diagnostics. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Named Data Networking as an alternative network for 5G network traffic is required to be able to provide better performance compared to other networks such as internet protocol networks. In NDN wireless, it is known that there is producer mobility and consumer mobility, so optimal mobility management is needed, including the handover process. In this paper the author proposes a simple RSSI-based 5G handover algorithm with distance as a reference RSSI value. This algorithm is a preparation for the handover algorithm on the NDN wireless network. By using the assumed distance value MS to eNB as the basic value for calculating RSSI, handover determination is determined by comparing the RSSI value to the RSSI threshold value. With the scenario of different numbers of users and cluster sizes, from the handover process involving 8 eNB. It can be calculated how big the handover probability is for each user. From the simulation results, it can be concluded that the more users and the larger the cluster size, the greater the handover probability value. This is linear, with the wider the cluster, the probability of getting an RSSI signal from the original eNB becomes smaller, making it possible to get an RSSI signal from neighboring eNB, so that a handover occurs. © 2024 IEEE.
