Faithful geometric measures for genuine tripartite entanglement

We present a faithful geometric picture for genuine tripartite entanglement of discrete, continuous, and hybrid quantum systems. We first find that the triangle relation Ei|jkα≤Ej|ikα+Ek|ijα holds for all subadditive bipartite entanglement measure E, all permutations under parties i,j,k, all α∈[0,1], and all pure tripartite states. Then, we rigorously prove that the nonobtuse triangle area, enclosed by side Eα with 0<α≤1/2, is a measure for genuine tripartite entanglement. Finally, it is significantly strengthened for qubits that given a set of subadditive and nonsubadditive measures, some state is always found to violate the triangle relation for any α>1, and the triangle area is not a measure for any α>1/2. Our results pave the way to study discrete and continuous multipartite entanglement within a unified framework.

Unsupervised multiplex graph diffusion networks with multi-level canonical correlation analysis for multiplex graph representation learning

In recent years, unsupervised multiplex graph representation learning(UMGRL) has received increasing research interest, which aims to learn discriminative node features from the multiplex graphs supervised by data without the guidance of labels. Although these designed UMGRL methods have obtained great success in various graph-related tasks, most existing UMGRL models still have the following issues: highly depending on complex self-supervised strategies(i.e., data augmentation,pretext tasks, and negative pairs sampling), restricted receptive fields, and only aggregating low-frequency information between nodes. In this paper, we propose a simple unsupervised multiplex graph diffusion network(UMGDN) with the aid of multi-level canonical correlation analysis to solve the above issues. Specifically, we first decouple the feature transform and propagation processes of the graph convolution layer to further improve the generalization of the learnable parameters. And then, we propose adaptive diffusion propagation to capture long-range dependency relationships between nodes, not the local neighborhood interactions. Finally, a multi-level canonical correlation analysis loss on both the feature transform and propagation processes is proposed to maximize the correlation of the same node features from multiple graphs for guiding model optimization. Compared to the existing UMGRL models, our proposed UMGDN does not need to introduce any data augmentation, negative pairs sampling techniques, complex pretext tasks, and also adaptively aggregates the optimal frequency information between nodes to generate more robust node embeddings. Extensive experiments on four popular datasets and two graph-related tasks demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Pt-Ir alloy is potential superalloys used above 1300℃because of their high strength and creep ***,the ductility of Pt-Ir alloy has rapidly deteriorated with the increase of Ir,resulting in poor *** work quantitatively evaluated the solid solution strengthening(SSS)and grain refinement strengthening(GRS)of Pt-Ir alloy using first-principles calculations combined with experimental ***,the stretching force constants in the second nearest neighbor region(SFC^(2nd))of pure Ir(193.7 eV·nm^(-2))are 3.40 times that of pure Pt(57.0 eV·nm^(-2)),i.e.,the interatomic interaction is greatly enhanced with the increase of Ir content,which leads to the decrease of ductility,and modulus misfit plays a dominant role in ***,the physical mechanisms responsible for the hardness(H_(V))of Pt-Ir alloy,using the power-law-scaled function of electron work function coupled SSS and GRS,are attributed to the electron redistribution caused by different Ir ***,a thorough assessment of the thermodynamic characteristics of Pt-Ir binary alloy was conducted,culminating in development of a mapping model that effectively relates enmposition,temperature and *** results revealed that the compressive strength incrcases with the Ir content,and the highest strength was observed in Pt_(0.25)Ir_(0.75).This study provides valuable insights into the Pt-Ir alloy system.

This paper presents a tool for automatic and interactive visualization of game plots, which can be used to check whether the designers’ work meets the constraints of the world, to help testers control played game story paths. Video classification for efficient data storage using deep learning: a comparison of sequential and simultaneous feature extraction methods

Optimizing camera information storage is a critical issue due to the increasing data volume and a large number of daily surveillance videos. In this study, we propose a deep learning-based system for efficient data storage. Videos captured by cameras are classified into four categories: no action, normal action, human action, and dangerous action. Videos without action or with normal action are stored temporarily and then deleted to save storage space. Videos with human action are stored for easy retrieval, while videos with dangerous action are promptly alerted to users. In the paper, we propose two approaches using deep learning models to address the video classification problem. The first approach is a separate approach, where pretrained CNN models extract features from video frame images. These features are then passed through RNN, Transformer models to extract relationships between them. The goal of this approach is to delve into extracting features of objects in the video. The proposed models include VGG16, InceptionV3 combined with LSTM, BiLSTM, Attention, and Vision Transformer. The next approach combines CNN and LSTM layers simultaneously through models like ConvLSTM and LRCN. This approach aims to help the model simultaneously extract object features and their relationships, with the goal of reducing model size, accelerating the training process, and increasing object recognition speed when deployed in the system. In Approach 1, we construct and refine network architectures such as VGG16+LSTM, VGG16+Attention+LSTM, VGG16+BiLSTM, VGG16+ViT, InceptionV3+LSTM, InceptionV3+Attention+LSTM, InceptionV3+BiLSTM. In Approach 2, we build a new network architecture based on the ConvLSTM and LRCN model. The training dataset, collected from real surveillance cameras, comprises 3315 videos labeled into four classes: no action (1018 videos), actions involving people (832 videos), dangerous actions (751 videos), and normal actions (714 videos). Kidney disease (KD) is a gradually increasing global health concern. It is a chronic illness linked to higher rates of morbidity and mortality, a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and numerous other illnesses, and expensive medical expenses. The machine learning (ML) models are applied for KD prediction with higher accuracy and precision. The KD dataset has uncertainty and vague information, so, we used the neutrosophic set (NS) to deal with vague and uncertainty information in the KD dataset. The KD dataset is converted into the N-KD dataset with three membership functions: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity. Three ML models are used in this study such as logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), and k-nearest neighbor (KNN). These ML models are applied to the N-KD dataset. The results show the LR has higher accuracy and precision on the N-KD dataset than the original KD dataset. © 2025, University of New Mexico. All rights reserved.

New logarithmic step size for stochastic gradient descent

In this paper, we propose a novel warm restart technique using a new logarithmic step size for the stochastic gradient descent (SGD) approach. For smooth and non-convex functions, we establish an O(1/√T) convergence rate for the SGD. We conduct a comprehensive implementation to demonstrate the efficiency of the newly proposed step size on the FashionMinst, CIFAR10, and CIFAR100 datasets. Moreover, we compare our results with nine other existing approaches and demonstrate that the new logarithmic step size improves test accuracy by 0.9% for the CIFAR100 dataset when we utilize a convolutional neural network (CNN) model.
