Broadcasting is a basic technique in Mobile ad-hoc network(MANET),and it refers to sending a packet from one node to every other node within the transmission *** is a type of broadcast where the received packet is retransmitted once by every *** naive flooding technique,floods the network with query messages,while the random walk technique operates by contacting the subsets of every node’s neighbors at each step,thereby restricting the search *** of the key challenges in an ad-hoc network is the resource or content discovery problem which is about locating the queried *** earlier works have mainly focused on the simulation-based analysis of flooding,and its variants under a wired ***,there have been some empirical studies in peer-to-peer(P2P)networks,the analytical results are still lacking,especially in the context of P2P systems running over *** this paper,we describe how P2P resource discovery protocols perform badly over *** address the limitations,we propose a new protocol named ABRW(Address Broadcast Random Walk),which is a lightweight search approach,designed considering the underlay topology aimed to better suit the unstructured *** provide the mathematical model,measuring the performance of our proposed search scheme with different widely popular benchmarked search ***,we also derive three relevant search performance metrics,i.e.,mean *** steps needed to find a resource,the probability of finding a resource,and the mean *** message *** validated the analytical expressions through *** simulation results closely matched with our analyticalmodel,justifying our *** proposed search algorithm under such highly dynamic self-evolving networks performed better,as it reduced the search latency,decreased the overall message overhead,and still equally had a good success rate.

Towards the global vision of engagement of Generation Z at the workplace: Mathematical modeling

Correlation and cluster analyses (k-Means, Gaussian Mixture Models) were performed on Generation Z engagement surveys at the workplace. The clustering indicates relations between various factors that describe the engagement of employees. The most noticeable factors are a clear statement about the responsibilities at work, and challenging work. These factors are essential in practice. This study investigates the frequency dependences of permittivity and permeability of epoxy composites incorporated with nanosized copper, nickel, and cobalt ferrites within the 1–500 MHz range. The ferrite nanoparticles, synthesized via the sol-gel autocombustion method, were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrational sample magnetometry (VSM). Based on X-ray diffraction data, it is shown that the sizes of the coherent scattering regions of the synthesized systems are within 24–38 nm. The formation of the spinel structure was confirmed by the results of XRD as well as IR spectroscopy. The hysteresis observed in the obtained curves confirms the ferromagnetic nature of the samples. The saturation magnetization values were determined to be 23.11 emu/g for CuFe2O4, 49.24 emu/g for NiFe2O4, and 69.90 emu/g for CoFe2O4. The demagnetizing "dead" layer thicknesses were calculated to lie between 0.47 and 1.34 nm, depending on composition. CuFe2O4/-, NiFe2O4/-, and CoFe2O4/epoxy, composites were prepared by solution mixing followed by additional sonication. The epoxy composites were prepared with filler concentrations of 20 wt% and 30 wt%. The real and imaginary parts of the dielectric permittivity, along with the dielectric loss tangent, show a decreasing trend with frequency increase. In contrast, both the real and imaginary parts of the magnetic permeability show a slight increase as the frequency rises from 1 MHz to 500 MHz. The frequency-dependent behavior of the studied materials suggests a high polarization capacity in composite materials containing 20 wt% and 30 wt% of CuFe2O4, NiFe2O4, and CoFe2O4, particularly at low frequencies (f ≤ 50 MHz). Such ferrite/epoxy composites can be used to replace the common heavyweight expensive materials used for specific microwave applications in low-frequency and medium-frequency range. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

This study aims to test a potential application of lognormal seminumerical simulations to recover the thermal parameters and Jeans length. This could be suitable for generating large number of synthetic spectra with various input data and parameters, and thus ideal for interpreting the high-quality data obtained from QSO absorption spectra surveys. We use a seminumerical approach to simulate absorption spectra of quasars at redshifts 3 ≤ z ≤ 5. These synthetic spectra are compared with the 1D flux power spectra and using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis method we determine the temperature at mean density, slope of the temperature-density relation and Jeans length. Our best-fit model is also compared with the evolution of the temperature of the intergalactic medium from various UVB models. We show that the lognormal simulations can effectively recover thermal parameters and Jeans length. Besides, by comparing the synthetic flux power spectra with observations from Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopy Survey we found, that such an approach can be also used for the cosmological parameter inference. © 2024, CC BY.

The lepton flavor violating decays h → e±b ea , Z → e±b ea , and eb → eaγ will be discussed in the framework of the Two Higgs doublet model with presence of new inverse seesaw neutrinos and a singly charged Higgs boson that accommodate both 1σ experimental data of (g − 2) anomalies of the muon and electron. Numerical results indicate that there exist regions of the parameter space supporting all experimental data of (g − 2)e,µ as well as the promising LFV signals corresponding to the future experimental sensitivities. © 2023, CC0.

Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) will be the next generation gamma-ray observatory. It will consist of three different sizes of telescopes, with a collective improvement of about an order of magnitude in sensitivity, compared with the current generation gamma-ray telescopes. LargeSized Telescopes (LSTs) will be the most sensitive at energies from tens of GeV up to a few TeVs, and will be the best suited to observe gamma-ray sources such as Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). The first Large-Sized Telescope prototype (LST-1), inaugurated in 2018 and currently in commissioning phase, has accumulated more than one thousand hours of data to date. From 2020 to 2022, we have detected various gamma-ray sources, and prominent among them are several well-known AGN, like Mrk 421, Mrk 501, 1ES 1959+650, 1ES 0647+250, PG 1553+113, etc. We report on light curves and energy spectra reconstructed out of these observations down to energies of tens of GeV, which is very close to the energy threshold of LST-1. © Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons.

Mechanical straining-induced bandgap modulation in two-dimensional (2D) materials has been confined to volatile and narrow modulation due to substrate slippage and poor strain transfer. We report the thermomechanical modulation of the inherent bandgap in quasi-2D tellurium nanoflakes (TeNFs) via non-volatile strain induction during hot-press synthesis. We leveraged the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch between TeNFs and growth substrates by maintaining a high-pressure enforced non-slip condition during thermal relaxation (623 to 300K) to achieve the optimal biaxial compressive strain of -4.6 percent in TeNFs/sapphire. This resulted in an enormous bandgap modulation of 2.3 eV, at a rate of up to ~600 meV/%, which is two-fold larger than reported modulation rate. Strained TeNFs display robust band-to-band radiative excitonic blue photoemission with an intrinsic quantum efficiency (IQE) of c.a. 79.9%, making it promising for energy efficient blue LEDs and nanolasers. Computational studies reveal that biaxial compressive strain inhibits exciton-exciton annihilation by evading van-Hove singularities, hence promoting radiative-recombination. Bandgap modulation by such nonvolatile straining is scalable to other 2D semiconductors for on-demand nano(opto)-electronics. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The relationship between data management and cloud-based computation is well-endorsed in the available research. Nevertheless, the contribution of cross-culture in this connection is poorly recognized. As a result, the objective of this research is to analyze the influence of cross-culture in the connection between data management and cloud computing adoption in higher education. This study included 349 Malaysian and 300 Turkish college students. Cross-cultural variations are studied using a multi-group modeling of structural equations technique. According to the findings, the association between perceived simplicity of use and applicability was favorable in both nations, although it was stronger in Malaysia. Malaysia also had a stronger link between perceived simplicity of use and intended action. In addition, for Turkey, perceived applicability strongly predicts intended actions, whereas, for Malaysia, the relationship was not strong. The findings revealed that data management influenced perceived applicability in Turkey, but not in Malaysia. Finally, the results demonstrated that cross-culture plays a significant part in the connection between data management and cloud computing in higher education.

In an effort to support the widespread use of passive acoustic monitoring devices in marine environments, a Task Team on Low-Cost Hydrophones for Research, Education, and Community science was launched under the auspices of the Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean and the International Quiet Ocean Experiment. To this aim, the Task Team is developing an open-source Low-Cost Marine Acoustic REcorder (LC-MARE), including hydrophone ceramics with a frequency response range of 10 Hz to 100 kHz, an effective sensitivity of at least -180 dB re V/µPa and an endurance exceeding one week of continuous recording. To minimise costs, the proposed deployment depth will be limited to 100 m and the pressure housing will be made of commercially available PVC tubes and fittings. The envisioned price tag of less than US$200 makes the suggested marine acoustic recorder affordable in low-budget educational and community science contexts, as well as scientific applications where finances are limiting (for example in developing countries and for entry-level researchers).
