IntroductionIn digital radiography, optimizing patient radiation dose has become necessary due to the potential of overexposure. Using the entire data sample of 980 fb−1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider, we present measurements of the branching fractions of the Cabibbo-favored decays Ξc0→ΛKS0, Ξc0→Σ0KS0, and Ξc0→Σ+K−. Taking the decay Ξc0→Ξ−π+ as the normalization mode, we measure the branching fraction ratio B(Ξc0→ΛKS0)/B(Ξc0→Ξ−π+)=0.229±0.008±0.012 with improved precision, and measure the branching fraction ratios B(Ξc0→Σ0KS0)/B(Ξc0→Ξ−π+)=0.038±0.006±0.004 and B(Ξc0→Σ+K−)/B(Ξc0→Ξ−π+)=0.123±0.007±0.010 for the first time. Taking into account the branching fraction of the normalization mode, the absolute branching fractions are determined to be B(Ξc0→ΛKS0)=(3.27±0.11±0.17±0.73)×10−3, B(Ξc0→Σ0KS0)=(0.54±0.09±0.06±0.12)×10−3, and B(Ξc0→Σ+K−)=(1.76±0.10±0.14±0.39)×10−3. The first and second uncertainties above are statistical and systematic, respectively, while the third ones arise from the uncertainty of the branching fraction of Ξc0→Ξ−π+.

We report first-order spatial and temporal correlations in strongly coupled plasmonic Bose-Einstein condensates. The condensate is large, more than 20 times the spatial coherence length of the polaritons in the uncondensed system and 100 times the healing length, making plasmonic lattices an attractive platform for studying long-range spatial correlations in two dimensions. We find that both spatial and temporal coherence display nonexponential decay; the results suggest power-law or stretched exponential behavior with different exponents for spatial and temporal correlation decays.

β decay of proton-rich nuclei plays an important role in exploring isospin mixing. The β decay of P26 at the proton drip line is studied using double-sided silicon strip detectors operating in conjunction with high-purity germanium detectors. The T=2 isobaric analog state (IAS) at 13 055 keV and two new high-lying states at 13 380 and 11 912 keV in Si26 are unambiguously identified through β-delayed two-proton emission (β2p). Angular correlations of two protons emitted from Si26 excited states populated by P26 β decay are measured, which suggests that the two protons are emitted mainly sequentially. We report the first observation of a strongly isospin-mixed doublet that deexcites mainly via two-proton decay. The isospin mixing matrix element between the Si26 IAS and the nearby 13 380-keV state is determined to be 130(21) keV, and this result represents the strongest mixing, highest excitation energy, and largest level spacing of a doublet ever observed in β-decay experiments.

Knowledge of the state of water balance of agro-food products is an essential step in drying or storage operations for preservation. Our study made it possible to determine the thermodynamic parameters which influence the storage conditions of fresh tomatoes grown in the south of Benin;and to predict its hygroscopic behavior during post-harvest storage. The desorption isotherms obtained at 40℃, 50℃ and 60℃, by the static gravimetric method using saturated saline solutions, are compared with those of the theoretical models of Brunauer, Emmet and Teller (BET), SMITH, PELEG and Guggenheim-Anderson-Boer (GAB). An adjustment of the experimental points, on the theoretical models, was made thanks to the numerical method which exploits the fminsearch algorithm under the MATLAB software, version R2018a. The GAB model at 50℃ faithfully reproduces the experimental desorption curves for water activities from 5.5% to 82.3%. The net isosteric heat of sorption was determined using the Clausius-Clapeyron equation, it increases when the degree of dehydration of the product increases. The applied isokinetic theory and enthalpy-entropy compensation are consistent.
