The person recognition problem in different domain is a hard challenge on lower accuracy of object detection with massive image data, that is the gap between person target and background is small and hard to distinguish different posture of person target. The novel domain adaptive person detection model based on transfer data training is proposed for detecting data on new target domain. And domain adaptive loss function is designed to control the difference between the two models with self training, so as to avoid catastrophic forgetting in the source domain. And then the experiment results show that the improved deep self training domain adaptive learning model and loss function algorithm are effective and efficient for person recognition problem.

It is demonstrated experimentally and confirmed theoretically that highly defective boron nitride showed outstanding performance for oxidative dehydrogenation of *** catalyst is derived from carbon-doped hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets synthesized via a two-step reaction when participating the oxidative dehydrogenation *** first step yields a polymeric precursor with the atomic positions of B,C,N relatively constrained,which is conducive for the formation of carbon atomic clusters uniformly dispersed throughout the BN *** the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene,the nanoscale carbon clusters are removed and highly defective boron nitride(D-BN)is obtained,exposing boron-rich zigzag edges of BN that act as the catalytic *** catalytic performance of D-BN is therefore remarkably better than un-doped *** results indicate that dispersed C-doping in h-BN is highly effective in terms of defect formation and resultant enhanced activity in oxidative dehydrogenation reactions.

In order to solve the problems of face features extraction and the long time consuming in network training, we propose a facial expression recognition network based on multi-level feature fusion structure. The network structure consists of the following three parts: The multi-level feature fusion block; The multi-granularity feature extraction unit; The global feature fusion structure composed of global residual connection. We evaluated our proposed algorithm on the CK+ dataset and FER2013 dataset, and finally achieved 94.07% accuracy and 65.4% accuracy respectively. Experimental results show that our algorithm can effectively improve the accuracy of expression recognition tasks.

A photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) based on a vertical cruciform multi-stepped photoacoustic cell (CMS-PAC) was developed in this paper for achieving highly sensitive detection of trace acetylene (C2H2) gas. With its optimized detection sensitivity and compact size, such the CMS-PAC surpasses conventional T-type PACs by incorporating enhancements in two aspects, i.e., structural design and laser incidence direction. Finite element analysis revealed that acoustic intensity of the CMS-PAC was ~2.45 times higher than that of the T-type PAC, when the incidence direction of modulated laser was horizontally positioned. When the modulated laser was incident vertically, the acoustic intensity of CMS-PAC was ~11 times as high as that along the horizontal incidence direction. Sensitivities of the CMS-PAC-based PAS system in vertical and horizontal directions were 15.06 and 1.83 pm/ppm, respectively. Combined with assessment using Allan deviation, the CMS-PAC-based PAS system achieved a minimum detection limit of 3.04 ppb@100 s in the vertical direction, and 23.06 ppb@100 s in the horizontal direction. The proposed CMS-PAC not only enhances acoustic intensity through optimized resonant cavity structures but also improves detection sensitivity with the optimized direction of laser incidence, providing a novel perspective for designing highly sensitive and compact PACs. © 2024, The Authors. TOPSIS is one of the most widely used MCDM methods and is constantly expanding towards decision-making problems in different fuzzy. As a special case of neutrosophic set-NS, a single valued neutrosophic set-SVNS has been proposed as a generalization of different fuzzy sets, including fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, Pythagoras fuzzy sets, and Fermat sets. In a single valued neutrosophic set, the realistically ambiguous and uncertain phenomena are represented by three independent aspects: the truth-membership degree, the indeterminacy-membership degree and the falsity- membership degree. In this paper, we propose a method to implement fuzzy MCDM by combining the Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis method and the single valued neutrosophic TOPSIS method. The weighting of experts participating in group decision making and the importance weighting of criteria is done using a Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis method, and a s single valued neutrosophic TOPSIS method is used to evaluate alternatives with respect to different criteria and to select the most appropriate alternatives. The new method proposed in this paper is validated through its application to the priority decision problem of scientific research projects. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Aiming at achieving the compliance control of lower limbs exoskeleton, a compliant control strategy basing on optimized compliance algorithm was proposed. The motion trajectory of human body was collected by using inertial sensors and electromyography sensors, and the information is taken as the reference information to the exoskeleton robot. By introducing muscle activation degree as the feedforward loop to offset the hysteresis phenomenon which is shown in the process of movement, the following movement achieved compliant. The feasibility of this control method is both verified on the simulation software platform and physical prototype. The experimental results show that this control method is effective and feasible in the lower limbs exoskeleton system. © 2019 IEEE.

To achieve robust motion estimation in visually degraded environments, thermal odometry has been an attraction in the robotics community. However, most thermal odometry methods are purely based on classical feature extractors, which is difficult to establish robust correspondences in successive frames due to sudden photometric changes and large thermal noise. To solve this problem, we propose ThermalPoint, a lightweight feature detection network specifically tailored for producing keypoints on thermal images, providing notable anti-noise improvements compared with other state-of-the-art methods. After that, we combine ThermalPoint with a novel radiometric feature tracking method, which directly makes use of full radiometric data and establishes reliable correspondences between sequential frames. Finally, taking advantage of an optimization-based visual-inertial framework, a deep feature-based thermal-inertial odometry (TP-TIO) framework is proposed and evaluated thoroughly in various visually degraded environments. Experiments show that our method outperforms state-of-the-art visual and laser odometry methods in smoke-filled environments and achieves competitive accuracy in normal environments.

The SLM (Selective Laser Melting) process involves a complex evolution. Experimental observation combined with numerical simulation analysis is an important way to study the evolution of molten pools. This study aims to improve the accuracy of numerical prediction for the evolution of microstructure (β grains and phases) during the cooling process of the molten pool, and combine with experimental results to gain a comprehensive understanding of the morphology characteristics of the melt pool and the micro mechanism of material forming. The β-Ti/Ti6Al4V specimens are prepared by using the selective laser melting equipment, and then the effect of process parameters on the molten pool micro-morphology is analyzed. A heat source model on the basis of experimental data is developed to provide the correlation between melt pool morphology and process. Numerical simulation and experimental investigation are applied to study the melt pool temperature field, velocity field and microstructure evolution. It is indicated that the shape of the molten pool after the modified heat source model agrees with the experimental methods. Furthermore, the analysis of the microstructure evolution of the molten pool during the solidification process is combined with the temperature field obtained from the simulation, and then the evolution of microstructure (β grains and phases) during the cooling process of the molten pool was also predicted. Unsupervised Domain Adaptive Semantic Segmentation (UDA-SS) aims to transfer the supervision from a labeled source domain to an unlabeled and shifted target domain. The majority of existing UDA-SS works typically consider images whilst recent attempts have extended further to tackle videos by modeling the temporal dimension. Although two lines of research share the major challenges – overcoming the underlying domain distribution shift, their studies are largely independent. It causes several issues: (1) The insights gained from each line of research remain fragmented, leading to a lack of holistic understanding of the problem and potential solutions. (2) Preventing the unification of methods and best practices across two scenarios (images and videos) will lead to redundant efforts and missed opportunities for cross-pollination of ideas. (3) Without a unified approach, the knowledge and advancements made in one scenario may not be effectively transferred to the other, leading to suboptimal performance and slower progress. Under this observation, we advocate unifying the study of UDA-SS across video and image scenarios, enabling a more comprehensive understanding, synergistic advancements, and efficient knowledge sharing. To that end, we explore the unified UDA-SS from a general domain augmentation perspective, serving as a unifying framework, enabling improved generalization, and potential for cross-pollination, ultimately contributing to the practical impact and overall progress. Specifically, we propose a Quad-directional Mixup (QuadMix) method, characterized by tackling intra-domain discontinuity, fragmented gap bridging, and feature inconsistencies through four-directional paths designed for intra- and inter-domain mixing within an explicit feature space. To deal with temporal shifts within videos, we incorporate optical flow-guided feature aggregation across spatial and temporal dimensions for fine-grained domain alignment, which is extendable to image scenarios

Successful aerial manipulation largely depends on how effectively a controller can tackle the coupling dynamic forces between the aerial vehicle and the manipulator. However, this control problem has remained largely unsolved as the existing control approaches either require precise knowledge of the aerial vehicle/manipulator inertial couplings, or neglect the state-dependent uncertainties especially arising during the interaction phase. This work proposes an adaptive control solution to overcome this long standing control challenge without any a priori knowledge of the coupling dynamic terms. Additionally, in contrast to the existing adaptive control solutions, the proposed control framework is modular, that is, it allows independent tuning of the adaptive gains for the vehicle position sub-dynamics, the vehicle attitude sub-dynamics, and the manipulator sub-dynamics. Stability of the closed loop under the proposed scheme is derived analytically, and real-time experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme over the state-of-the-art approaches. © 2024, CC BY.
