The plasmonic antenna probe is designed using a silver bar embedded in a modified add-drop filter within a Mach Zehnder interferometer (MZI). The Rabi antenna is formed when the space-time control has reached the two-level system oscillation, which can be applied as a quantum brain-sensingprobe. A photonic neural network is designed using brain-Rabi antenna communication, wherein the transmission is connected by the neurons. The communication signals are transferred by the electron spins (up-down) and tunable Rabi frequency. The hidden variables and deep brain signals can be obtained by the external detection. We have developed a Rabi antenna via simulation using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software. We have developed a communication device using the Optiwave program (OptiFDTD). The output signal is plotted by the Matlab program using parameters from the results of the OptiFDTD simulation. The proposed antenna resonates in the frequency range of 192THz-202THz with a maximum gain of 22.4dBi. The sensor sensitivity is calculated along withelectron spin results and applied to form the quantum-brain interconnection. Moreover, an intelligent machine learning algorithm is proposed for the identification of high-quality transmission and predicting the behavior of the transmission in near future. The Gamma-Ray and AntiMatter Survey (GRAMS) is a next-generation balloon/satellite mission utilizing a Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber (LArTPC) detector to measure both MeV gamma rays and antinuclei produced by dark matter annihilation or decay. The GRAMS can identify antihelium-3 events based on the measurements of X-rays and charged pions from the decay of the exotic atoms, Time of Flight (TOF), energy deposition, and stopping range. This paper shows the antihelium-3 sensitivity estimation using a GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulation. For the proposed long-duration balloon (LDB) flight program (35 days × 3 flights) and future satellite mission (2-year observation), the sensitivities become 1.47 × 10−7 [m2 s sr GeV/n]−1 and 1.55 × 10−9 [m2 s sr GeV/n]−1, respectively. The results indicate that GRAMS can extensively investigate various dark matter models through the antihelium-3 measurements. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Organ segmentation is one of the most fundamental and challenging task in computer aided diagnosis (CAD) systems, and segmenting liver from 3D medical data becomes one of the hot research topics in medical analysis field. Graph cut algorithms have been successfully applied to medical image segmentation of different organs for 3D volume data which not only leads to very large-scale graph due to the same node number as voxel number. Slice by Slice liver segmentation method is one of the technique that normally used to solve the memory usage. However, the computation times are increased and reduce the accuracy. In this paper we propose an interactive organ segmentation using fully convolutional networks. The network will perform slice by slice which only 1 slice of seed points in each volume. To validate effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed method, we conduct experiments on 20 CT volumes, focus on liver organ and most of which have tumors inside of the liver, and abnormal deformed shape of liver. Our method can segment with 0.95401 dice accuracy with better than stage-of-the-art methods. © Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2019.

We consider two cobalt-based full-Heusler compounds CoFeTiAl and Co2FeSi, for which Coulomb correlation effects play an important role. Since the standard GGA scheme does not provide a precise description of the electronic properties near the Fermi level, we use a meta-GGA functional capable to improve the description of the electronic properties of CoFeTiAl and Co2FeSi. In particular, we find a better agreement with the experiment for the magnetic moment and the energy-band gap. Moreover, our calculations show that pressure enhances the insulating properties of Co2FeSi and CoTiFeAl. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper aims to study the construction method of a three-dimensional temperature distribution reconstruction system based on depth and thermal infrared information. Initially, the traditional calibration methods were not straightforward because depth and thermal infrared cameras were not sensitive to color calibration plates. Therefore, a depth and thermal infrared camera calibration board is designed to perform depth and thermal infrared camera calibration. Secondly, the three-dimensional temperature distribution is built based on spatial affine transformation matching. The Local feature descriptor is proposed. In addition, the three-dimensional temperature distribution is calculated by local feature matching. Finally, the optimization of 3D temperature distribution reconstruction is completed based on autoregressive (AR) model. Experimental results show that a three-dimensional temperature distribution model can be built accurately based on this method with strong robustness.

The nuclear waste problem is one of the main interests of the rare earth and actinide elements chemistry. Studies of Actinide-containing compounds are at the frontier of the applications of current theoretical methods due to the need to consider relativistic effects and approximations to the Dirac equation in them. Here, we employ four-component relativistic quantum calculations and scalar approximations to understand the contribution of f-type atomic orbitals in the chemical bonding of actinides (Ac) to organic ligands. We studied the relativistic quantum structure of an isostructural family made of Plutonium (Pu), Americium (Am), Californium (Cf), and Berkelium (Bk) atoms with the redox-active model ligand;DOPO (2,4,6,8-tetra-tert-butyl-1-oxo-1H-phenoxazin-9-olate). Crystallographic structures were available to validate our calculations for all mentioned elements except for Cf. In short, state-of-the-art relativistic calculations were performed at different levels of theory to investigate the relativistic effects and electron correlations on geometrical structures and bonding energies of Ac-DOPO3 complexes (Ac=Pu, Am, Cf, Bk): 1) the scalar relativistic zeroth order regular approximation (ZORA) within the hybrid density functional theory (DFT) and 2) the four-component Dirac equation with the Dirac-Hartree-Fock (4c-DHF) and Lévy-Leblond (LL) Hamiltonians. We show that scalar DFT-ZORA could be used as an efficient theoretical approximation to first approximate the geometry and electronic properties of actinides which are difficult to synthesize or characterize;but knowing that the higher levels of theory, like the 4c-DHF, gives closer results to experiments than the scalar DFT-ZORA. We also performed spin-free calculations of geometric parameters for the Americium and Berkelium compounds. Sleeping on the back after 28 weeks of pregnancy has recently been associated with giving birth to a small-for-gestational-age infant and late stillbirth, but whether a causal relationship exists is currently unknown and difficult to study prospectively. This study was conducted to build a computer vision model that can automatically detect sleeping position in pregnancy under real-world conditions. Real-world overnight video recordings were collected from an ongoing, Canada-wide, prospective, four-night, home sleep apnea study and controlled-setting video recordings were used from a previous study. Images were extracted from the videos and body positions were annotated. Five-fold cross validation was used to train, validate, and test a model using state-of-the-art deep convolutional neural networks. The dataset contained 39 pregnant participants, 13 bed partners, 12,930 images, and 47,001 annotations. The model was trained to detect pillows, twelve sleeping positions, and a sitting position in both the pregnant person and their bed partner simultaneously. The model significantly outperformed a previous similar model for the three most commonly occurring natural sleeping positions in pregnant and non-pregnant adults, with an 82-to-89% average probability of correctly detecting them and a 15-to-19% chance of failing to detect them when any one of them is present.

Since the optic disc can be regarded as one of the main anatomical structures in retinal images,its detection plays an important role for automated screening *** paper develops a group sparse regularization ELM(GSRELM) for optic disc detection that is able to automatically select the effective hidden nodes via group sparse regularization for achieving more accurate and efficient classification ***,preprocessing is applied for correcting the uneven illumination and improving the ***,candidate regions for the optic disc can be extracted and reduced by performing saliency detection technique and anatomical prior,respectively,and then extracting a series of patches based on the remaining candidate regions which can be regarded as the input data to train GSRELM network ***,with the learned network,the true optic discs can be distinguished from the spurious candidates based on the highest output response *** proposed approach is evaluated on two pubhcly available databases,i.e.,DIARETDBO(130 images) and DIARETDBl(89 images).Compared to the state of the art approaches,the experimental results indicate effectiveness of the proposed approach.

All-solid-state batteries are attracting increasing interest due to their higher promised energy densities without the use of flammable liquid electrolytes. Two main challenges for solid-state batteries are contact loss and interphase formation; these play a central role in the quality of the solid-electrolyte–electrode interfaces. Here, we present a modular phase-field modeling framework that is generally applicable to solid-state batteries with different electrodes and corresponding microstructures. The model is based on multiphase porous electrode theory, where Li-ion diffusion in solid electrolytes and electrode materials is integrated through a regular solution free energy functional. Modules for contact loss and diffusive interlayers, able to capture solid-solid and solid-liquid interfaces such as solid-electrolyte interphase formation and coatings, are also implemented, providing numerous modeling options for a comprehensive understanding of electrochemical systems. A thorough comparison between the solid-state and conventional liquid-electrolyte models for phase-separating electrodes reveals the optimal conditions and bottlenecks of solid-state diffusion and failure mechanisms. The predictions underline contact loss and interphase formation as the crucial mesoscopic morphological characteristics of solid-state systems, setting the basis for in-depth understanding and optimized performance in all-solid-state batteries.
