We have developed a peristaltic mixing and conveying device that mimics the human intestine. The device is composed of unit units, making it highly scalable. However, centralized control cannot fully demonstrate the high scalability. Therefore, we focused on autonomous decentralized control. In general, autonomous decentralized control can be expected to improve scalability and fault tolerance. In our previous study, we focused on autonomous decentralized control of human intestines and proposed an autonomous control law, but there was room for improvement in scalability. The objective of this study is to design a 'discrepancy function,' which is one of the design theories of autonomous decentralized control, to improve its industrial characteristics. In this paper, we design a term that coordinates the supply and exhaust states of neighboring units to design a discrepancy function, and confirm that it generates motion with the desired phase difference and improves scalability. © 2024 IEEE.

This study focuses on the problem in the field of issue ticketing systems, where the need for human involvement in classifying work task in the ticket often results in insufficient classification. Our primary focus is on a problem associated with multi-label classification. A significant challenge in this study is the dependency of our dataset on low resources, which is different from the large datasets usually used in current multi-label text classification studies. Therefore, we propose a pre-training approach for our low-resource dataset. Our methodology applies several embedding techniques, including TF-IDF, Word2Vec, and BERT (WangchanBERTa and PhayaThaiBERT). The classification models, such as Logistic Regression, Support Vector Classifiers, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, and Deep Neural Networks, are experimented in this study to assess their performance in a low-resource environment. According to our experimental results, a combination of PhayaThaiBERT and Deep Neural Networks outperforms conventional methods. The combination yielded an F1 score of 0.769 on the test dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

This elaboration presents the synthesis of the Takagi-Sugeno type Fuzzy Logic controller realizing the programmable parameters of the state feedback controller together with the steady state current for the active magnetic levitation system. Closed-loop dynamics was calculated precisely with respect to the requested dynamics. Two cases were considered: fixed-and variable-closed-loop dynamics. The Fuzzy Logic Controller was considered under four scenarios with linear, nonlinear, and constant in-range output. The study was supported by simulations and experimental investigations. The position of the levitating sphere stands as an illustration of the system in operation. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

The paper presents project and its verification of a prototype integrated circuit containing an analog, programmable finite impulse response (FIR) filter, implemented in CMOS 350 nm technology. The structure of the filter is based on the switched capacitor technique. In circuits of this type, one of main challenges is an efficient implementation of filter coefficients, which result from several factors described in this work. When implementing such filters as programmable circuits, the values of their coefficients have to be limited to a selected range, i.e. a given resolution in bits. In the implemented prototype filter, the filter coefficients are represented by 6 bits in sign-magnitude notation, so they can take 63 different values only. In such filters, it is not possible to directly implement any frequency response of the filter. Each time, it is necessary to properly round the theoretical values of the coefficients so that they fit into the available range of discrete values resulting from the implementation. The authors of the work designed an algorithm that allows such matching. The number of IT systems and technologies supporting various processes, including the manufacturing, has been growing in recent years. Various versions of integrated ERP-class systems are known. At the same time, we are in the fourth indus-trial revolution. The future is Industry 4.0 and Digital Factory. Industry 4.0 is an overall term for technical innovations and value change organization concepts which revolutionize the industrial production. Currently, the digital technologies change the way production is carried out by generating, transferring and processing of data, and also by analysing large amounts of datasets. There is a problem of the place and significance of logistics, transport and supply chains in the fourth industrial revolution. What is logistics engineering, what methods are suggested to solve the contemporary problems of logistic support of production processes? To whom are the virtual systems dedicated? What rules should be applied by small and medium enterprises (SME)? Is the pressure of virtual world a threat to such companies? Is it possible to design and make real products without virtual manufacturing? Hence, does Logistics 4.0 exist and where is it used? The practice of logistics engineering is applied during the entire system lifecycle by means of interactive processes supporting the anal-yses and research (compromise) for optimization of costs, logistics and efficiency. Surely, it can be said that without the correctly designed and effective logistic processes the contemporary production system could not achieve the required productivity and effectiveness. The article describes the basic tasks of logistics engineering in relation to production com-panies, as well as relations with Industry 4.0. and digital factory. This paper introduces an environmental data collection application that takes a comprehensive approach, including both hardware and software components. The software application is built on the platform BIOComProP_ECU (Basic Input Output Communication Protocol Platform for Electronic Control Units), which is a fast prototyping platform designed for electronic control units. The study presents a novel approach to developing a cost-efficient Internet of Things (IoT) system. This system takes advantage of the ESP32 microcontroller, which is equipped with WiFi capabilities, as its primary feature. The system collects indoor environmental data, such as air quality, temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, through dedicated sensors. This data is then stored in cloud storage for future analysis. The final section of the paper examines all of the results of the measurements collected over a one-year period and presents the resulting conclusions derived from this particular case study. © 2024, Cefin Publishing House. This paper analyses the workflow of software developers in an automotive industry organization, emphasizing the crucial processes and practices that are essential for the efficiency and quality of software development. A process map was conceptualized, examined, and subsequently debated within an organization operating in the automotive industry. The software development processes of this organization have been subject to process and inspection standards reports. Examining and evaluating technological tools utilized in this procedure reveals comprehensive solutions and emerging technologies that can enhance the effectiveness of software development. Furthermore, there is a strong focus on fostering collaboration among the teams within the organization and ensuring that the workflow is flexible enough to accommodate swift changes in the industry. Automotive organizations can enhance their competitive edge by comprehending and optimizing this workflow. An appropriately organized workflow can undoubtedly result in increased efficiency and effectiveness. This aspect can result in positive results regarding the quality management of processes, with all management activities and technical tasks functioning correctly. This paper presents a detailed documentation of the workflow employed by software developers in the research and development division of the automotive industry. This aspect can lead to favourable outcomes in terms of process quality management, with all management activities and technical aspects operating accurately. The aforementioned factors have resulted in a scientific investigation that primarily relies on meticulous documentation and makes a significant qualitative contribution to enhancing the effectiveness of software development and management within an automotive organization. © 2024, Cefin Publishing House. In the early days of the Open Source robotics Foundation, a lesser-known project aimed to design an “app-able robot”, leading to the creation of the “Capabilities” package for the Robot Operating System (ROS). Over a decade later, formulating robot capabilities remains a significant technical hurdle in bringing robots from the lab into everyday life. This paper introduces Capabilities2, a successor to the original Capabilities package, now reimagined for ROS2. Capabilities2 enhances the original design by enabling advancements in skill-based control techniques and offering a more efficient, extensible framework for defining and utilising robot capabilities. We delve into its application in new real-world scenarios, with a particular focus on human-robot interactions and the deployment of collaborative mobile robots in human-centric environments. Capabilities2 addresses challenges in implementing intuitive, collaborative robots by introducing an abstracted database handler, an object-relational mapping for capability models, and a plugin architecture for capability execution. These features support dynamic capability representation, runtime adaptability, and integration with modern AI techniques for skill-based task planning. By providing a standardised yet flexible framework, Capabilities2 reduces the integration effort required to develop top-level controls for real-world scenarios, facilitating rapid development and deployment. Our contributions include the reimplementation of the Capabilities package in ROS2, enhancements to support contemporary robotic applications, and demonstrations of new use cases enabled by Capabilities2. We believe that Capabilities2 significantly advances the field of robotics by equipping developers with tools to create more capable, adaptable, and interactive robots.
