Cardiovascular disease is currently a prominent sickness that kills the majority of sufferers. The medical evaluation of cardiac disease presents significant problems. This diagnostic method is complex, requiring precision and efficiency. Early detection of heart disease can significantly lower the chance of death. In light of the high occurrence of cardiac issues in contemporary times, the prediction of heart disease has emerged as one of the most challenging endeavors within the medical field in recent years. Scientists examined a plethora of closely related characteristics to identify the most trustworthy predictors of these diseases. In this work, we use Machine Learning (ML) approaches to detect the existence of cardiac problems. The suggested method predicts the likelihood of heart disease and classifies people into risk categories. This is performed by utilizing several machine learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Gradient Boosting, Random Forest (RF), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Naive Bayes (NB), and Logistic Regression (LR). The developed system is trained and evaluated using a composite dataset derived from two separate sources. The results of the experiments show that, when compared to other machine learning algorithms, the Random Forest approach achieves the greatest accuracy rate, achieving an amazing 99.99%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

With the growing demand for wireless networks, network traffic has surged, particularly involving large-scale data transmission. This results in an increased number of network security threats and the emergence of various cyber-attacks. To overcome these threats, the development of an efficient intrusion detection system (IDS) has become crucial. By leveraging the recent advancements in Artificial intelligence (AI), this project introduces an optimized deep learning mechanism utilizing a prevalent deep learning model, the Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm. This proposed method uses feature engineering techniques like feature selection and feature reduction. Given the high dimensionality of the selected datasets, these techniques are employed to prevent over-fitting. Recursive feature elimination performs feature selection followed by Principal Component Analysis for the feature reduction process, thus enhancing the model's efficiency. The system is assessed using two benchmark datasets: KDD and UNSW-NB15. The experimental results indicate that the presented DNN model on the KDD dataset has achieved 92.45% accuracy and 91.35% accuracy on the UNSW-NB15 dataset for intrusion classification. © 2024 IEEE.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

In this paper, we propose a multi-dimensional resource allocation scheme for Internet of Remote Things (IoRT) data collection in a high altitude platform (HAP)-assisted unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network. Considering the quality of service (QoS) requirements of delay-sensitive IoRT data, we propose a UAV-HAP double relay data transmission mode to reduce the transmission delay for delay-sensitive data. Since the resources of the UAV are limited, we jointly optimize communications, computing and storage resources to maximize the utility of the considered system. Due to the high dimensionality of the solution space, we design a Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic policy gradient-based multi-dimensional resource allocation (TD3-MDRA) algorithm to find the optimal resource allocation strategy. Extensive simulation results are presented to demonstrate the superior performance of TD3-MDRA for IoRT data collection with delay and resource constraints. © 2024 IEEE.

It is well-established that terrestrial communication systems may fail during emergencies such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods. Fortunately, with the rapid advancement of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network technology, deploying UAV nodes as aerial base stations (BSs) is assuming an increasingly crucial role in facilitating downlink transmissions and restoring ground communication capabilities. However, a single UAV node is not sufficient to meet the requirements. Inspired by distributed communication, we introduce a performance analysis framework based on stochastic geometry to analyze the distributed coordinated multi-point (CoMP) UAV-assisted communication network. Specifically, we assume that all UAV nodes follow a homogeneous Poisson point process (PPP) and maintain a constant altitude. The entire space is tessellated by multiple hexagons, with multiple UAV nodes within each hexagonal region working together to serve terrestrial user equipments (UEs). For this region-centric cooperative model, we derive an exact expression for the coverage probability to quantify the performance improvement enabled by UAVs, analyze the upper bound of the coverage probability, and provide a simplified approximation. We then compare this model to a user-centric model. Our numerical findings demonstrate that the cooperation of UAV nodes can significantly enhance the coverage probability and save spectrum resources. © 2024 IEEE.

Intrusion Detection systems (IDSs) are crucial for safeguarding modern IoT communication networks against cyberattacks. IDSs must exhibit exceptional performance, low false positive rates, and significant flexibility in constructing attack patterns to efficiently identify and neutralize these attacks. This research paper discusses the use of an Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) as a new technique to enhance the performance of IDSs. The study utilizes two standard IDS-based IoT network datasets: NSL-KDD 2009 via Distilled-Kitsune 2021. Both datasets are used to assess the effectiveness of ELM in a conventional supervised learning setting. The study investigates the capacity of the ELM algorithm to handle high-dimensional and unbalanced data, indicating the potential to enhance IDS accuracy and efficiency. The research also examines the setup of ELM for both NSL_KDD and Kitsune using Python and Google COLAB to do binary and multi-class classification. The experimental evaluation revealed the proficient performance of the proposed ELM-based IDS among other implemented supervised learning-based IDSs and other state-of-the-art models in the same study area. © The Author(s) 2024.

Network Performance Analysis Using Packets Probe for Passive Monitoring

Measuring network performance is essential in computer networks, and benchmarking may not be effective for installation in peripheral devices, resulting in replacing those devices and thus increasing cost. In light of this, it is better to have a software system for the network to see its performance rather than the actual design. In this paper, we developed negative network tomography techniques to infer correlation-level aberrations such as excessive loss rates and delays from path-level measurements. Our system involves placing packet probes in passive monitoring devices on strategic links within the network to learn about network performance with the identification of missing and transmitted packets, and to keep the cost of monitoring and communications infrastructure low. A graphical user interface (GUI) represents provided a variety of data, metrics. this work can be a useful guide for network researchers or other programmers to analyze their networks and understand how to calculate network performance, where it has been compared to the network performance measurement and evaluation system (NPMES), the results of the system were the accuracy of 94%. © 2022 Slovene Society Informatika. Properly created and securely communicated,non-disclosure agreement(NDA)can resolve most of the common disputes related to outsourcing of offshore software maintenance(OSMO).Occasionally,these NDAs are in the form of *** the work is done offshore,these agreements or images must be shared through the Internet or stored over the *** breach of privacy,on the other hand,is a potential threat for the image owners as both the Internet and cloud servers are not void of *** article proposes a novel algorithm for securing the NDAs in the form of *** an agreement is signed between the two parties,it will be encrypted before sending to the cloud server or travelling through the public network,the *** the image is input to the algorithm,its pixels would be scrambled through the set of randomly generated rectangles for an arbitrary amount of *** confusion effects have been realized through an XOR operation between the confused image,and chaotic ***,5D multi-wing hyperchaotic system has been employed to spawn the chaotic vectors due to good properties of chaoticity it *** machine experimentation and the security analysis through a comprehensive set of validation metric vividly demonstrate the robustness,defiance to the multifarious threats and the prospects for some real-world application of the proposed encryption algorithm for the NDA images.
