This paper introduces a simple yet effective approach for developing fuzzy logic controllers(FLCs)to identify the maximum power point(MPP)and optimize the photovoltaic(PV)system to extract the maximum power in different environmental *** propose a robust FLC with low computational complexity by reducing the number of membership functions and *** optimize the performance of the FLC,metaheuristic algorithms are employed to determine the parameters of the *** evaluate the proposed FLC in various panel configurations under different environmental *** results indicate that the proposed FLC can easily adapt to various panel configurations and perform better than other benchmarks in terms of enhanced stability,responsiveness,and power transfer under various scenarios.

Nowadays, smartphones are used for various activities, including checking emails, paying bills, and playing games, which have become essential parts of daily life. Also, IoT devices can be managed and controlled using applications. While applications can provide numerous benefits, they have also led to several security risks, such as theft of data, eavesdropping, compromised data, and denial-of-service attacks. This study examines security breaches, attacks targeting Android system applications, and vulnerabilities present at every layer of the Android architecture. Additionally, the study aims to compare and evaluate various treatment methods to identify their advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, the study aims to examine Android's architecture for weaknesses that might lead to app vulnerabilities and potential attacks. To achieve the objectives of this study, a comprehensive analysis of security breaches and attacks targeting Android system applications will be conducted. Various treatment methods will be compared and evaluated through rigorous examination. Additionally, Android's architecture will be thoroughly examined to identify potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities. The analysis will focus on identifying the security risks associated with the use of applications on smartphones and IoT devices. The vulnerabilities present at every layer of the Android architecture will also be analyzed. Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages of various treatment methods will be assessed. The findings of this study will reveal the various security risks, vulnerabilities, and potential weaknesses present in Android system applications and the Android architecture. The advantages and disadvantages of different treatment methods will also be highlighted. This study contributes to the development of more precise and robust security measures for Android, aiming to mitigate security breaches, attacks, and vulnerabilities. Gas and biosensors are crucial in the modern healthcare system, enabling non-invasive monitoring and diagnosis of various medical conditions. These sensors are used in various applications, including smart home health monitoring devices and critical care units. Common non-imaging sensor types include gas or VOC sensors, diagnostic ECG sensors, blood glucose sensors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure sensors, body temperature sensors, EEG sensors, accelerometers, and imaging sensors like X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds. Healthcare-related sensors offer numerous advantages, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, monitoring vital signs, enabling remote patient monitoring, personalized healthcare, and early detection and prevention. However, issues like data accessibility, privacy, comfort, security, and accuracy must be considered when installing sensors in homes. Efficient data sharing and analysis require devices, sensors, and platforms to communicate effectively. Real-time data processing is essential for prompt diagnosis and intervention. In this article, we have put it briefly: medical sensors are transforming the way we track, identify, and manage adverse health conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

CT-Scan is a computer-based imaging technology, but it presents certain weaknesses, including interpretation challenges, lengthy analysis times, and visualization limitations. The progress in digital image processing science empowers computers to identify objects through recognizing distinctive features. To facilitate further data processing, an image cropping method is essential to narrow down the area of interest, as not all parts of an object require processing. However, using a rectangular cropping method can lead to a reduction in image size, potentially compromising image quality and causing blurring when displayed on the same axes. To uphold image quality and avert blurring, maintaining the cropped image's size becomes crucial. The developed rectangular cropping method successfully preserves the cropped image's size by adjusting the intensity values of pixels surrounding the cutting point. Coordinate points within the cropping rectangle delineate the region where pixel intensity values are modified. In this study, input images were sourced from CT-scan images of M. Djamil Hospital, Padang, West Sumatra, in jpg format. The developed algorithm underwent testing using the Matlab program, employing the rectangle method for image cropping to ensure the image size remained constant. The study's outcomes reveal no disparity in the number of pixels obtained when employing the developed rectangular cropping method. Based on the experiments carried out in this study using 8 input images that were successfully maintained, the size of the image from the cropped image was 8 images and 0 images were unsuccessful, so the accuracy obtained in this study was 100%. © 2023 IEEE.

Heart disease (HD) stands as a major global health challenge, being a predominant cause of death and demanding intricate and costly detection methods. The widespread impact of heart failure, contributing to increased rates of morbidity and mortality, underscores the urgency for accurate and timely prediction and diagnosis. This is crucial for effective prevention, early detection, and treatment, thereby reducing the threat to individual health. However, the early and precise prediction of HD remains a significant challenge. The complexity of medical data poses a considerable challenge for healthcare professionals, who are required to interpret and utilize this information swiftly for effective intervention. Addressing this gap, our study introduces a novel Improved Explainable Learning-Based Technique (IELBT) for HD prediction. This technique harnesses a strategic combination of feature selection, Venn diagrams, data normalization methods, optimized parameters, and machine learning algorithms, specifically tailored for predicting HD. We evaluated the performance of our model using the Alizadeh Sani HD dataset, aiming to accurately detect the presence or absence of the condition. Our results demonstrate that the IELBT, employing a support vector machine with a robust scaling approach, optimal parameterization, and a data split ratio of 70:30, achieves an impressive accuracy rate of 96.00%. Beyond achieving high accuracy, the IELBT outperforms similar models in existing literature and provides significant interpretability and explanation, essential elements in the field of medical diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

An ultra-wideband (UWB) slotted compact Vivaldi antenna with a microstrip line feed was evaluated for microwave imaging (MI) applications. The recommended FR4 substrate-based Vivaldi antenna is 50×50×1.5 mm3 in size. The proposed compact Vivaldi antenna showed good radiation characteristics and spanned an ultra-wide bandwidth of 10 GHz, ranging from 3.6 to 13.6 GHz, using a microstrip line feed with a radial stub, tapered slots, and resonant cavities. After analyzing the simulation findings, the proposed compact slotted UWB Vivaldi antenna was compared with the basic Vivaldi antenna. The maximum gain and efficiency were 7.35 dB and 82%, respectively. The antenna was simulated in the time domain using the computer simulation technology (CST) microwave studio. The frequency domain solver was also used for cross-validation, and the results were equally good. In conclusion, the proposed compact Vivaldi antenna is a good option for microwave imaging applications. © 2023 The Institute of Electronics and information Engineers.

Paper and board for printing commonly contains optical brightening agents that fluoresce in the presence of UV radiation, making the prints appear brighter and bluer. If the relative amount of optical brightening agents (OBAs) is not consistent between proof and print, and the UV content of measurement and the viewing illumination differs, there will be a colorimetric difference between proof and print. Colour management workflows are normally media-relative, and visual adaptation to the media white can conflict with the goals of colorimetric matching. The impact of UV content in measurement and viewing illumination on the visual acceptability of colour reproductions was investigated in a series of psychophysical experiments, using substrates with varying OBA concentrations and a media-relative colour reproduction workflow. The results showed that visual acceptability was largely unaffected by UV content of measurement or viewing illumination, suggesting that visual adaptation to media white discounts the effect of fluorescence. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.
