In the ever-evolving landscape of insurance services, the strategic cross-selling of health insurance to existing customers stands as a pivotal endeavor. This study delves into this domain, aiming to harness the potential of machine learning and deep learning methodologies to identify prospects for health insurance adoption within the existing customer base, irrespective of their current insurance holdings. To achieve this goal, this study conducts various experiments employing different machine learning and deep learning algorithms, such as TabPFN, Graph Convolutional Network (GCN), LightGBM, Hist Gradient Boosting and XGBoost. Data preprocessing involves filtering out empty data and normalizing the remaining data. The dataset is then subjected to various optimization methods, including Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm (AOA), Gradient-Based Optimization (GBO), and Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA), to enhance the model's performance, ensuring the development of a reliable and trustworthy predictive model for identifying customers likely to purchase health insurance. Notably, AOA consistently demonstrates strong performance in LightGBM with an increment of 9.34%, XGBoost with an increment of 8.66%, and TabPFN with an increment of 10.48%, establishing it as the optimal method for enhancing model performance across different models. Moreover, an additional discovery in this study emphasizes TabPFN's notable superiority over other algorithms, showcasing a substantial improvement in accuracy from 52.62% to 63.10%. This substantial enhancement underscores TabPFN's exceptional efficacy specifically in managing tabular data. © 2024 IEEE.

The Content Restriction System (CRS) harnesses the power of machine learning to mitigate the proliferation of harmful content in digital spaces. The current systems are mostly made by private social media giants and there is a lack of a wholesome all-round CRS for all. This can be useful to remove bad comments in the comment section, removing it from the reach of children as well. It detects profanity, harmful and violent behavior. We are creating this using Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) and the algorithm is modified such that it detects the comment as quickly as possible. This is an improved version of this algorithm that can give us faster results. For this we have implemented several filters before sending a text object for analysis minimizing the need for analyzing all the data objects. After these filters are applied, we send the data objects for analysis and even this stage takes very less time. This algorithm is meant to work for large datasets with over a million data points. In the future, we can use it as a scanner tool to check the client's database for such harmful content and mark it up for them. FAIRMod will increase the overall health of the internet and its accessibility. Our goal is to achieve 90% accuracy while having faster detection speed. © 2024 IEEE.

The Android operating system's widespread use has unfortunately made it a target for malware attacks, underlining the necessity for robust detection strategies. Existing literature has explored the potential of machine learning in combating Android malware, often employing a mix of static and dynamic analyses. However, a major portion of these malwares are zero-day vulnerabilities. In this context, our study makes a significant contribution by focusing on using static features extracted from Android application package (APK) files to differentiate between benign and malicious applications. Specifically, all training and testing in this study were performed on the Drebin-215 dataset, a comprehensive collection known for its relevance in Android security research. Improving malware detection using static features allows for detection of malwares before they are run on devices. We analyzed five ML classification algorithms, beginning with a Decision Tree, followed by SVM (Support Vector Machine) with an RBF kernel, then moving to Logistic Regression and K-Nearest Neighbor, and finally, we introduced our proposed model, the SecuDroid Neural Network - employing a methodology that employs precise hyper-parameter tuning, and evaluation through stratified 4-fold cross-validation. The evaluation on an unseen test dataset, based on accuracy, F1-score, and AUC metrics, revealed the SecuDroid Neural Network surpassed its counterparts by reaching an accuracy of 0.993, an F1-score of 0.991, and an AUC of 0.999. Our findings not only offer a comparative analysis of different machine learning models for malware detection but also introduce an efficient approach, thereby enriching the arsenal against Android malware threats, with all empirical validations grounded in the Drebin-215 dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

A key component of cloud computing is cloud storage, which allows data to be stored on remote servers. The result is a reduction in the amount of storage space required on local devices, allowing data to be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. Furthermore, cloud storage is more secure than local storage due to the use of encryption and other security measures by professional providers. This is a practical and cost-effective solution to store large images required to be safeguarded from malicious black hat hackers. Images are the most valuable yet vulnerable form of data that can be used to track down user activities and taken advantage by hackers, used to commit identity theft, fraud. Issues concerning the security and privacy of images saved in the cloud have arisen as cloud storage has grown in popularity. The proposed method will focus on the encryption of images using a chaotic encryption scheme based on Pascal's triangle. The user will authenticate their identity before uploading images to cloud storage and likewise confirm their authentication in the process of retrieval of an image. Such a secure system is better than traditional security methods for password settings as it cannot be easily stolen. Additionally, this method is more secure than other methods due to its complex encryption mechanisms, making it impossible to guess or steal the encryption key. In addition to providing extra security for sensitive images, biometric authentication will offer a stronger method of verifying and validating users on the cloud. © 2024 IEEE.

Users’ behaviour on social media platforms reflects many aspects of real life, including personality, and these platforms provide a rich amount of textual data. Individuals communicate their thoughts, feelings, and ideas regularly, resulting in a rich and informative collection of personal data that may be used to a wide range of situations. As the word subconscious suggests, this is commonly referred to as "subconscious crowdsourcing," which means that people are unintentionally and subconsciously sharing information with their network. These people are therefore ideal candidates for personality prediction due to the massive expansion of those social media sites over the past ten years. The Cricket Performance Analysis System based on big data tools, like Hadoop and Apache Spark, gives realtime deep insights into performances from players and teams and conditions in matches based on large-scale cricket match data. It scales up speedily and finds patterns using distributed computing capabilities of Spark, which makes it possible to take decisions around performance improvements and strategies. The system applies a set of machine learning techniques including K-means clustering, Logistic Regression, and Random Forest classifiers to be used for the analysis of player performance metrics and match outcomes. Thus, through the conversion of raw data into actionable insights, teams can improve their strategies, make better improvements in performance, and thus gain an upper hand against other competing professional cricket teams. As a result, teams are best positioned to make adjustments in good time and direct finer tactics toward further enhancement of overall performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence-inspired comprehensive framework for desertification prediction

Desertification greatly affects land deterioration, farming efficiency, economic growth, and health, especially in Gulf nations. Climate change has worsened desertification, making developmental issues in the area even more difficult. This research presents an enhanced framework utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) for ongoing monitoring, data gathering, and analysis to evaluate desertification patterns. The framework utilizes Bayesian Belief Networks (BBN) to categorize IoT data, while a low-latency processing method on edge computing platforms enables effective detection of desertification trends. The classified data is subsequently analyzed using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) optimized with a Genetic Algorithm (GA) for forecasting decisions. Using cloud computing infrastructure, the ANN-GA model examines intricate data connections to forecast desertification risk elements. Moreover, the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model is employed to predict desertification over varied time intervals. Experimental simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the suggested framework, attaining enhanced performance in essential metrics: Temporal Delay (103.68 s), Classification Efficacy—Sensitivity (96.44 %), Precision (95.56 %), Specificity (96.97 %), and F-Measure (96.69 %)—Predictive Efficiency—Accuracy (97.76 %) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) (1.95 %)—along with Reliability (93.73 %) and Stability (75 %). The results of classification effectiveness and prediction performance emphasize the framework's ability to detect high-risk zones and predict the severity of desertification. This innovative method improves the comprehension of desertification processes and encourages sustainable land management practices, reducing the socio-economic impacts of desertification and bolstering at-risk ecosystems.
