The proliferation of consumer data can be attributed to 'the Internet of Things (IoT),' which makes it easier to access and more detailed than before. In this research our purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of a consumer behavior analysis model using data from IoT. The quality of the model is evaluated on multiple parameters - accuracy, predictability and business sense for marketing. It uses the analytics of huge amounts for data from IoT devices to predict patterns, customer preferences and trends. The proposed method called as Enhanced Neural Classification Logic (ENCL) is cross-validated with the already existing method, which is termed as Consumer behavior Forecasting Strategy (CBFS), and helps users to share gather or process information in a fast and cost-effective way through the proposed method. The results are useful to grasp the promise of IoT in more effective consumer behavior analysis. The research portrays the strengths, weaknesses and possible areas of improvement in this model which will be beneficial for both academic and industry practitioners. As such, the objective of this study is to show how an IoT-based consumer behavior analysis can increase business growth and customer satisfaction. The experimental evaluations demonstrate significant improvements in predictive performance over traditional methods, providing actionable insights for targeted marketing and strategic decision-making. The results highlight ENCL's potential to transform consumer behavior analysis by delivering more precise and nuanced understandings of market dynamics. © 2024 IEEE.

Experimental Study on Surface Integrity of Ti6Al4V by Broaching

The performance of many parts in the airplane, aircraft engine and biomedical implants is highly related to their fatigue life, which is clearly depend on the condition of their surface integrity. The geometry parameters of broaching tools have an important influence on the surface integrity after broaching Ti6Al4V alloy. Therefore, this research studies the surface integrity of Ti6Al4V by broaching. The surface integrity is studied at different geometric parameters such as rake angles (α, and α 0), clearance angles (β, and β0), and radius of the cutting edge (r0) in two last teeth of the broaching tool that perform chipping. The broached surface integrity is assessed in cases of surface roughness, microstructural, residual stresses, and micro hardness. These results show that the sample broached by tool number 1 (α = 18.4, β = 3.1, α0 = 45, β0 = 9, r0 = 0.02) had higher surface integrity because it was the smoothest surface and the thinnest deformed layer among the other samples. Since the main criterions in selection of the optimal tool are to create the smoothest surface and the least deformed layer depth in the broached sample, tool number 1(α = 18.4, β = 3.1, α0 = 45, β0 = 9, r0 = 0.02) is suggest ed as the optimal tool. © 2022 Materials and Energy Research Center. Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a vital application of the Internet of Things (IoT) that plays a significant role in gathering a patient's healthcare information. This collected data helps special professionals like doctors or physicians analyze patients' health status to cure different diseases. However, collecting such information from an insecure channel can be threatening due to the potential security threats. Therefore, it is crucial to secure this sensitive information. This article proposes a secure and lightweight authentication protocol for WBAN. The devised protocol is scalable, secure, and lightweight compared to various relevant competing protocols. The informal security analysis shows that the designed protocol is lightweight, secure, and efficient in resisting various major attacks. The performance analysis demonstrates our protocol's supremacy over various competing protocols in terms of computation and communication costs, inducing efficiency of 20.3% and 12.3%, respectively. Moreover, the practical performance of the designed protocol from the network point of view is measured using the widely recognized NS3 simulation tool. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Due to the growning use of social networks and the use of viral marketing in these networks, finding influential people to maximize information diffusion is considered. This problem is Influence Maximization Problem on social networks. The main goal of this Problem is to select a set of influential nodes to maximize the influence spread in a social network. Researchers in this field have proposed different algorithms, but finding the influential people in the shortest possible time is still a challenge that has attracted the attention of researchers. Therefore, in this paper, the IMPT-C algorithm is presented with a focus on graph pre-processing in order to reduce the search space based on community structure. The approach of this algorithm is to take advantage of the topological properties of the graph to identify influential nodes. The experiment results indicate that the IMPT-C algorithm has a great influence spread with low run time compared the state-of-the-art algorithms consist least 2.36% improve than PHG in term the influence spread. © 2021 IEEE.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are used extensively in agricultural applications, coastal boundary detection and object recognition. This imaging technology provides desired results in many challenging applications due to its ability to provide images with appropriate resolution in harsh weather and climate conditions. In this study, an image database was created to detect ships from SAR images. The images were preprocessed in accordance with the literature and made suitable for ship detection methods. The noise in the images was reduced with a deep learning-based architecture. Using this database, image processing and machine learning methods were used to develop ship detection methods.

Blockchain technology is widely used to develop software systems in different industries such as finance, healthcare, supply chain management, data management, Internet of Things (IoT). To adopt blockchain, some critical challenges such as performance, interoperability, availability, security attacks, sustainability, and latency need to be taken into consideration. If the blockchain platform selected is not appropriate, the functionality and quality of the blockchain-based systems will be affected. Additionally, numerous blockchain platforms with unique properties and specifications are available in the market, and the task of selecting the right platform that best meets the project needs is getting complicated. It is crucial to define significant criteria that can help to shortlist the blockchain platforms for further comparison and selection using multicriteria decision-making methods. This research proposes a set of selection criteria that cover both features and quality attributes of the blockchain platforms. A survey was conducted to get the opinions of blockchain practitioners on the suitability of the selection criteria for the evaluation and selection of blockchain platforms. © 2022 IEEE.

Optimization problems widely arise in various science and engineering fields and can be computationally expensive in many real-world applications. Evaluation of the fitness function to assess a candidate solution is the main operation in all optimization procedures which can be heavily compute-intensive. Machine learning-based surrogate models can contribute to learning the specific pattern among the decision variables and objective values to consequently reduce the computation time of fitness evaluation. In this study, we have proposed a novel pairwise surrogate model to identify the superiority between candidate solutions in a pairwise comparison despite the fact that most of the surrogate models try to predict the exact fitness value. The proposed idea can significantly help the optimizer to reach better results in a shorter period of time. It seems comparing two candidate solutions for a greedy selection is much easier than approximating fitness values for both. We demonstrated Graph Neural Network (GNN) for this purpose to be trained on a limited number of pairwise ranks and then utilized to compare a pair of candidate solutions. In order to examine the efficacy of our model, we utilized different well-known single-objective optimization benchmarks in dimensions 10,20, and 30. Moreover, the results of the learning-based evaluation are compared with the results from the real fitness evaluation. The results, assessed in terms of the number of fitness calls and the best-found solution, showed that the proposed method is able to decrease the computing cost of fitness evaluation significantly while we achieve a comparable solution. Our model can be tested with any optimization algorithm which employs a comparison-based mechanism among its candidate solutions. © 2023 IEEE.

This study aims at designing Map Reduce and federated learning-based asthma prediction model for adolescent to provide answers to the problems associated with the existing asthma prediction model for adolescent. This study leveraged on two diverse datasets: the Nigerian Hospital Asthma dataset and the National Survey of Children Health dataset for benchmarking purposes. Symmetrical uncertainty and normalization interaction were employed for feature selection. The model was trained using Federated Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Enabler (FATE) and complemented with XGBoost model and one central server for federated algorithm averaging. The study was implemented with python programming language on Google Collaboratory environment. The results of the analysis showed considerable high accuracy of 0.98, precision (0.98%), recall (0.98%) and F1-socre (0.99%) for the asthmatic class and precision of 0.98%, recall of 0.98%, as well as F1-score of 0.99% for the non-asthmatic class. The implemented model was benchmark with the existing asthma prediction models in the literature. Simulated attack was also performed using implemented model with and without Map Reduce. This study concludes that the researchers' model has the potentials to outperform some of the existing machine learning models on asthma prediction in adolescent, thereby facilitating collaborative sharing of the model with other hospitals, protect the patient information from leakage, meeting the criteria of healthcare data protection regulation as well as beneficial for enhancing the security of the dataset. © 2024 IEEE.
