The paper proposes “AdaptVR” a virtual reality (VR) system designed to enhance dental training through realistic real tile simulations and adaptive learning environment, to overcome traditional training challenges in dental education. The system aims to provide personalized learning experiences, facilitating skill development and comprehensive assessments for students. The proposed system was tested by 17 dentistry students and 5 experts. AdaptVR framework is done for operative dentistry which is removing decay especially Class I and Class II of classification of caries. Results from the experiment revealed that 77.3% of participants exceed their expectations, 59.1% saw a positive effect on their dental skills, 90.9% reported higher levels of engagement, and 65% indicated that vibration and force feedback provided students with a genuine sensation. AdpatVR's experimental findings show an average accuracy of 50.85% for Class I, 51.7% for Class II, and 82.09% for the Class II box technique. The error percentage averages 49% for Class I, 48% for Class II, and 18% for Class II box technique.

People having visual impairment can't perform routine tasks on their own such that they are obliged to perform even the simplest task with assistance. Since their issue can't be resolved with visual glasses or lenses, the various mode of advancing technologies is playing an immense role in aiding them. Plenty of research work and development of gadgets have been proposed regarding the assistance of visually impaired people. From deep learning along with sensor-based initiative systems to various ranges of software have been developed but until now every system or software heeds on a particular feature. This article is based on purposing the idea of developing a cross-platform application named Optic Ally, intelligent assistance for visually impaired people that will provide all salient features in it regarding their assistance. For this idea of Optic Ally application, a novel model-driven framework is introduced that comprises a meta-model, tree editor, and graphical modeling tool that is Sirius based with drag and drop palette. The modeling and visualization of the features of this app are done using the Sirius-based graphical modeling tool. Moreover, a case study has been demonstrated for the validity of the proposed framework. The outcome of the case study proves that the proposed framework is competent in modeling and visualizing features effectively. The initial developed stage of the application is also shown in this article. Optic Ally application features include object detection, object finder, location, voice assistance, guardian help, link account and profile setup for the visually impaired user whereas for the guardian user the features include location, profile setup and guardian help © 2022 IEEE.

Applications that support multimedia data such as medical pictures and videos, video broadcasting, and secure video conferencing consume vast quantities of information that require large numbers of servers to provide services for the many client users who access them. Cloud-based sensitive data becomes increasingly important for the respective users to be kept confidential without infringing confidentiality, integrity, and availability. We propose a framework based on the OpenStack cloud-computing platform for multimedia data security. A prototype framework with a helper tool EncSwift is implemented, which allows stringent data access control and applying the data-at-rest Over-Encryption approach. The implementation is evaluated for computation of cryptography operations, cost of communications, and update policy consequences for the framework. With OpenStack Swift’s open source and modular design, our multimedia data management and management framework is well suited to protecting and managing clouds’ multimedia with low computational costs as shown in the experimental results. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces the largest and most diverse e-waste dataset to date, consisting of 19,613 pictures, 28,941 annotations, and 77 classes, where each class represents one visually distinctive type of electronic device. Furthermore, our dataset was structured using the United Nations University's UNU-KEYS classification, which ensures the compatibility of our dataset with the different e-waste classifications used worldwide and allowed us to choose more relevant dataset classes. The proposed methodology for image collection, annotation, and labeling is explained. The advantages and disadvantages of this dataset and how it can be improved in the future are presented. This dataset has been made open source with a permissive CC by 4.0 license so that it can be used to stimulate scientific progress in the field of automatic e-waste recognition, with the end goal of solving the global e-waste problem. This research introduces a novel Probabilistic Graph Modeling-based Safety Classifier Algorithm designed for the purpose of classifying road safety in smart transportation systems. Leveraging a combination of numerical integration methods and Gaussian kernel density estimation models, the proposed algorithm offers an effective approach to assess and categorizing the safety levels of roads. The widespread adoption of cellular networks has played an important role in the integration of road safety applications, capitalizing on the ubiquitous use of this technology by road users and its extensive market penetration. This paper presents the formulation of an analytical model to assess the awareness of vulnerable road users (VRU) defined as VRU Awareness Probability (VAP) achieved by vehicles communicating via 5G New Radio (NR) cellular vehicle-to-everything C-V2X networks at urban intersections. The main assumption in our model is that all VRU are connected to a 5G network. Our analytical model is designed to represent the dynamics of the 5G NR network operating in communication mode 2 in an urban intersection setting;we consider the influencing factors of signal propagation, such as obstacles created by buildings and realistic mobility patterns for vehicles and VRU based on SUMO traces. Our research shows that the proposed model exhibits high accuracy in intersection scenarios without buildings and maintains this efficiency in partially and highly obstructed scenarios, showing a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.0265 and 0.0309, respectively;using the fitted model as a baseline in the non-obstructed scenario. The efficiency of this model can facilitate the study of the impact of the implementation and development of road safety applications on the safety of VRU. This VRU-centered approach allows for evaluating VRU awareness in different traffic density contexts, communication network conditions, and architectures where safety applications can be deployed. © 2013 IEEE.

During the application development process, it is important for a developer to analyze user requirements. This is crucial to the success of interactive systems and is an essential component of the design of information systems. User requirement analysis aids developers in understanding and analyzing users' needs and technology requirements. Throughout this case study, it is able to forecast the understanding, and technology acceptance, and at the same time improve the quality of work, reducing training and support costing and perennially improve customer or user satisfaction. The method of research selected is questionnaires that focused on collecting the data directly from Malaysian farmers through Google Forms as an online medium. The method was chosen because it is easy to implement and inexpensive due to the current situation of Covid-19. The questionnaire is designed with two sections where;a) includes the participant's demography to analyze information of the intended audience while b)focused on the knowledge of participants about recognition images. Results demonstrate the farmer's opinion and knowledge of the technology of image recognition in the agriculture sector. The quantitative research was undertaken using an online platform due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From the analysis, it is justified that the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) together with the mobile farming image recognition app is useful in collecting farmers' feedback and positive results have an outcome on the challenges faced by the durian farmers. © 2023 IEEE.

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users' feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users' preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly. © 2022 IEEE.

The neurological condition epilepsy is demanding and even fatal. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based epilepsy detection still faces various difficulties. EEG readings fluctuate, and different patients have various seizure activity patterns. EEG signal detection is time-consuming and labour-intensive, which puts a strain on medical staff and raises the possibility of erroneous detections. Usually, electrodes are inserted into the scalp or inside the brain for a brief period of time in order to obtain EEG data. It is essential to research efficient cross-patient automatic epilepsy detection techniques. The multi-head self-attention mechanism recognises long-distance dependencies with the same proficiency as it does temporal dynamic correlations between short-term temporal pattern characteristics and sequential relationships. The contextual representations are inputted into a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM) so that information can be extracted in both directions. Classification and training are carried out utilising the log SoftMax algorithm. The experiments utilised scalp EEG data from the CHB-MIT database. Sensitivity, specificity, F1-score, and accuracy were computed to be 96.5 percent, 97.04 percent, 96.6 percent, and 96.2 percent, respectively. The results of the experiment show how well the technique works for detecting seizures in several patients utilising multi-channel EEG recordings. The results also demonstrate the method's improved generalisation capabilities and resilience and consistency in collecting seizure patterns. This is particularly critical for the tertiary diagnosis of epilepsy, and the findings indicate that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
