Searching images fromthe large image databases is one of the potential research areas of multimedia *** most challenging task for nay CBIR system is to capture the high level semantic of *** researchers of multimedia domain are trying to fix this issue with the help of Relevance Feedback(RF).However existing RF based approaches needs a number of iteration to fulfill user’s *** paper proposed a novel methodology to achieve better results in early iteration to reduce the user interaction with the *** previous research work it is reported that SVM based RF approach generating better results for ***,this paper focused on SVM based RF *** enhance the performance of SVM based RF approach this research work applied Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)and Genetic Algorithm(GA)before applying SVM on user *** main objective of using thesemeta-heuristic was to increase the positive image sample size from *** steps PSO is applied by incorporating the user feedback and secondly GA is applied on the result generated through PSO,finally SVM is applied using the positive sample generated through *** proposed technique is named as Particle Swarm Optimization Genetic Algorithm-Support Vector Machine Relevance Feedback(PSO-G A-SVMRF).Precisions,recall and F-score are used as performance metrics for the assessment and validation of PSO-GA-SVM-RF approach and experiments are conducted on coral image dataset having 10908 *** experimental results it is proved that PSO-GA-SVM-RF approach outperformed then various well known CBIR approaches.

The discovery of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) patterns is vital to formulate mitigation strategies based on the characteristics of RTA. Various studies have applied association rule mining for RTA pattern discovery. However, limited research has conducted a comparative analysis of RTA patterns in different regions. This work is necessary to identify the similarities and differences of RTA characteristics between different regions, especially the developed and developing countries with different RTA trends in fatality rates. This work explored the application of association rule mining (FP-Growth algorithm) to discover and compare the RTA patterns for developed and developing countries. The Orange Data Mining software is used to discover RTA patterns for Ethiopia (12,317 samples) and the UK (United Kingdom) (1,048,575 samples), representing developing and developed countries. Eventually, findings showed similarities and differences in RTA patterns between Ethiopia and the UK. Road characteristics and conditions are the common factors contributing to RTA severity levels, while other crucial factors include the light condition and speed limit. In conclusion, the discovery of RTA patterns in different regions is beneficial to assist in formulating strategies to reduce the risk of RTA. Future work is necessary to discover the RTA patterns from different perspectives, such as seasonal or periodical variations of RTA patterns.

The need for software improvement is growing widely due to the demand for technology development. The issues that arise by expanding the software processes in the workplace are expense, lack of understanding, time constrained, and lack user experience. This research paper focuses on proposing a framework for integrating design thinking into software process improvement. The secret to project success may lie in fusing methodological and reusable approaches with human-centric techniques. A mixed-methods research strategy is proposed to compile thorough information and reach conclusions. In addition, it incorporates components of both qualitative and quantitative research (secondary research and descriptive analysis). The assumption is that the existing model significantly affects the user satisfaction variable. This indicates a statistically significant association between the individual's experience (number of years) and design thinking integration into the software process improvement. The variables in the proposed model and the dependent variable user satisfaction accounts for 6.1 © 2024 IEEE.

The deterioration of transmission lines has a profound effect on the reliability and safety of the power grid. Accurate estimation of their age is critical for effective maintenance and investment planning. This paper proposes a method that combines the percentage statistical health index (%SHI) with failure probability curve-fitting (FPCF) to estimate the ages of overhead transmission lines. %SHI assesses equipment condition through scoring and weighting, while FPCF correlates SHI with the probability of failure. Evaluation of 924 towers situated in various terrains across Thailand reveals discrepancies between estimated and actual ages, influenced by environmental factors. To enhance reliability, proactive maintenance strategies such as regular inspections and advanced monitoring are recommended.

In recent times,internet of things(IoT)applications on the cloud might not be the effective solution for every IoT scenario,particularly for time sensitive applications.A significant alternative to use is edge computing that resolves the problem of requiring high bandwidth by end *** computing is considered a method of forwarding the processing and communication resources in the cloud towards the *** of the considerations of the edge computing environment is resource management that involves resource scheduling,load balancing,task scheduling,and quality of service(QoS)to accomplish improved *** this motivation,this paper presents new soft computing based metaheuristic algorithms for resource scheduling(RS)in the edge computing *** SCBMARS model involves the hybridization of the Group Teaching Optimization Algorithm(GTOA)with rat swarm optimizer(RSO)algorithm for optimal resource *** goal of the SCBMA-RS model is to identify and allocate resources to every incoming user request in such a way,that the client’s necessities are satisfied with the minimum number of possible resources and optimal energy *** problem is formulated based on the availability of VMs,task characteristics,and queue *** integration of GTOA and RSO algorithms assist to improve the allocation of resources among VMs in the data *** experimental validation,a comprehensive set of simulations were performed using the CloudSim *** experimental results showcased the superior performance of the SCBMA-RS model interms of different measures.

Infrared small target detection (IRSTD) has recently benefitted greatly from U-shaped neural models. However, largely overlooking effective global information modeling, existing techniques struggle when the target has high similarities with the background. We present a Spatial-channel Cross Transformer Network (SCTransNet) that leverages spatial-channel cross transformer blocks (SCTBs) on top of long-range skip connections to address the aforementioned challenge. In the proposed SCTBs, the outputs of all encoders are interacted with cross transformer to generate mixed features, which are redistributed to all decoders to effectively reinforce semantic differences between the target and clutter at full levels. Specifically, SCTB contains the following two key elements: (a) spatial-embedded single-head channel-cross attention (SSCA) for exchanging local spatial features and full-level global channel information to eliminate ambiguity among the encoders and facilitate high-level semantic associations of the images, and (b) a complementary feed-forward network (CFN) for enhancing the feature discriminability via a multi-scale strategy and cross-spatial-channel information interaction to promote beneficial information transfer. Our SCTransNet effectively encodes the semantic differences between targets and backgrounds to boost its internal representation for detecting small infrared targets accurately. Extensive experiments on three public datasets, NUDT-SIRST, NUAA-SIRST, and IRSTD-1K, demonstrate that the proposed SCTransNet outperforms existing IRSTD methods. This study presents a comprehensive benchmarking analysis of cryptographic protocols for Internet of Things (IoT) malware defense. The framework was specifically tailored to evaluate cryptographic protocols such as AES-128, AES-256, ChaCha20, RSA (1024-bit, 2048-bit, and 4096-bit), SHA256, SHA512, and HMAC-SHA256 were tested in both standalone and emulated environments. The primary objective was to evaluate the performance and resource consumption of these protocols, focusing on their encryption and hashing efficiency. Key innovations include the comparative analysis of resource consumption and performance efficiency across diverse cryptographic operations, under both real-world and emulated conditions. By identifying protocols like ChaCha20 for high efficiency and minimal resource usage, and RSA 4096-bit for enhanced security at higher computational costs, this study provides actionable insights into the trade-offs between security and performance. These findings offer a foundational reference for selecting optimized cryptographic protocols, advancing IoT malware defense strategies through informed decision-making.

A crucial role in the BRT transportation system’s planning, development, and operation is the prediction of passenger numbers. Using time-series data, it is necessary to develop careful prediction models, appropriate techniques, and an indepth understanding of the number of BRT Transjakarta passengers. A prediction model is sought based on comparing combined LSTM and BiLSTM experiments using three evaluation matrices and time. Historical data used from daily passenger data for 13 BRT Transjakarta corridors (1/01/2021-31/12/2023). The best prediction model was obtained from the BiLSTM-CNN combination with the lowest MSLE (0.0425), MAPE (0.1598), and SMAPE (15.9387) evaluation matrix values. However, it required a longer time (00:02:14). Predictions of passenger numbers on the 13 Transjakarta BRT corridors for the next 12 months can be made simultaneously by predicting fluctuations occurring simultaneously. The strongest positive correlation is in corridor 9-6, while the strongest negative correlation is in corridor 12-5. The prediction results must be understood by stakeholders, managers, and technopreneurs to develop and support appropriate strategies to increase the number of BRT passengers.

Microorganisms may cause illness when they enter the body, multiply, and spread to other parts. The rapid spread of COVID-19 to neighboring countries is examined in this research. Anticipating a positive COVID-19 occurrence helps in determining risks and creating countermeasures. As a result, developing robust mathematical models with small error margins for predictions is crucial. Based on these findings, a combined method of evaluating confirmed cases of COVID-19 with universal immunization is recommended. First, the best hyperparameter values of the RBF kernel-based LSSVM (least square support vector machine) were determined using the most recent Evolutionary Mating Algorithm (EMA). After that, LSSVM will complete the task of prediction. This hybrid method has been utilized for time series forecasting in Malaysia since the country's immunization program against COVID-19 got underway. We evaluate our results next to those of well-known methodologies in nature-inspired metaheuristics.
