Modern transportation systems face growing challenges in managing traffic flow, ensuring safety, and maintaining operational efficiency amid dynamic traffic patterns. Addressing these challenges requires intelligent solutions capable of real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and adaptive control. This paper proposes an architecture for DigIT, a Digital Twin (DT) platform for Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS), designed to overcome the limitations of existing frameworks by offering a modular and scalable solution for traffic management. Built on a Domain Concept Model (DCM), the architecture systematically models key ITS components enabling seamless integration of predictive modeling and simulations. The architecture leverages machine learning models to forecast traffic patterns based on historical and real-time data. To adapt to evolving traffic patterns, the architecture incorporates adaptive Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), automating the deployment and lifecycle management of predictive models. Evaluation results highlight the effectiveness of the architecture in delivering accurate predictions and computational efficiency. © 2025, CC BY.

Cybersecurity has become a significant concern for automotive manufacturers as modern cars increasingly incorporate electronic components. Electronic Control Units (ECUs) have evolved to become the central control units for critical car functions such as engines and brakes, experiencing rapid technological advancements. However, this swift progression in ECU technology has also made them prime targets for cyber attacks. This vulnerability has spurred researchers to focus on securing ECUs. Numerous studies have proposed intrusion detection systems (IDS) to protect against attacks on ECUs in vehicles. Yet, these IDSs are not impenetrable; attackers can exploit them by launching evasion attacks, which can trigger numerous false positive alarms. Such false alarms can be disruptive and potentially hazardous for drivers. Additionally, attackers can evade IDSs from detecting malicious data that can cause harm to the vehicle. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose a novel training framework to train a robust in-vehicle IDS that can encounter evasion attacks. Our methodology is based on implementing two rounds of mimic learning technique for training Random Forest (RF) based IDS. RF has been chosen to incorporate the randomness of the RF architecture to enhance the robustness of the model. Additionally, in each round of the two rounds of the mimic learning technique, an RF model with a different architecture is chosen to improve the resilience of the model against evasion attacks without affecting its accuracy. Our Experimental results have shown the effectiveness of our framework against evasion attacks.

This research focuses on image classification, grouping images based on shared characteristics. The study aims to identify the highest-potential category within various fields, from high to low potential. By understanding existing potential, researchers can inform targeted strategies for future development. The methodology combines Logistic Regression in Orange Data Mining to enhance classification accuracy. Hierarchical Clustering is used to analyze 7,777 image results. Findings reveal that Tourism (C3) has the most potential, followed by Culinary (C2) and Culture (C4), while Handcrafts (C1) exhibit the least potential. In conclusion, logistic regression successfully identifies influential aspects of Sukabumi through Instagram images, aiding potential development

Nowadays, smartphones became an integral part of human life due to the great necessity for their daily activities. Most smartphone users are downloading and installing mobile apps without worrying about security. Therefore, smartphones are a winning goal for malware, mainly with Android devices. So, it was necessary to provide an intelligent model for detecting malware applications before installing them on android smartphones. In this paper, an intelligent model using machine learning algorithms is proposed for detecting the malware applications in smartphones based on the static malware analysis technique. The contents of an android application features are analyzed, such as permissions, intents, system commands, and API-calls that were extracted from the application manifest file and source code. The proposed model is applied on two separate datasets DREBIN and MALGENOME. The experimental results are compared with some other similar researches, and their results were analyzed. The results indicate that the performance of the proposed model outperforms other similar models for some selected classifiers and can reliably detect both malware and benign Android applications with high accuracy. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper we propose an improved recipe recommendation system that employs image recognition of food ingredients. The system is currently a mobile application that performs image recognition on uploaded or camera-captured images and recommends recipes containing the recognized ingredients. We used the ResNet-V2 architecture to build a convolutional neural network model for image recognition, which was able to identify 33 different food ingredients with an accuracy rate of 89%. The recommendation system uses the identified ingredient labels, as well as user preferences and restrictions, to display a list of recipes containing the identified ingredients. This feature allows users to discover new and exciting recipes based on the ingredients they currently have at home, without having to worry about dietary restrictions or other preferences. Overall, our system provides a convenient and personalized way for users to discover and prepare delicious meals based on their unique needs and preferences.

Digital twins have a major potential to form a significant part of urban management in emergency planning, as they allow more efficient designing of the escape routes, better orientation in exceptional situations, and faster rescue intervention. Nevertheless, creating the twins still remains a largely manual effort, due to a lack of 3D-representations, which are available only in limited amounts for some new buildings. Thus, in this paper we aim to synthesize 3D information from commonly available 2D architectural floor plans. We propose two novel pixel-wise segmentation methods based on the MDA-Unet and MACU-Net architectures with improved skip connections, an attention mechanism, and a training objective together with a reconstruction part of the pipeline, which vectorizes the segmented plans to create a 3D model. The proposed methods are compared with two other state-of-the-art techniques and several benchmark datasets. On the commonly used CubiCasa benchmark dataset, our methods have achieved the mean F1 score of 0.86 over five examined classes, outperforming the other pixel-wise approaches tested. Social media networks play a major role in expressing people's feelings, reviews, and thoughts. One of the popular linguistic patterns to express or criticize one's ideas with ridicule is sarcasm, where they have unintended and intended meanings in written text. The sarcastic text is used to reverse the polarity of the sentiment. As a result, sarcasm detection in the text positively affects the sentimental analysis (SA) tasks and improves accuracy. The sarcasm recognition of Arabic content is constrained even though Arabic is the most popular language for web content sharing, and yet still naive owing to various challenges, such as the insufficient data sources, the multiple dialects, and the morphological structure of the Arabic language. This study presents an Artificial Intelligence Driven Sarcasm Detection using Optimal Deep Learning (AIDSD-ODL) technique on Arabic tweets. In the AIDSD-ODL technique, a hyperparameter-tuned DL model is utilized to identify sarcastic or non-sarcastic Arabic tweets. At the initial stage, the AIDSD-ODL method undergoes data pre-processing to convert the input tweets into a compatible format. In the next phase, the Glove word embedding process is used in the AIDSD-ODL technique. The self-attention bidirectional long short-term memory (SA-BiLSTM) model is utilized for sarcasm detection. The Al-Biruni Earth Radius (BER) model is implemented for the hyperparameter selection process to enhance the performance of the SA-BiLSTM network. The experimental results of the AIDSD-ODL method are examined under the Arabic tweets dataset. The comparison study of the AIDSD-ODL method portrayed a superior accuracy value of 94.20 % over existing models. © 2025 The Authors

Automating the monitoring of the roads would mean safer roads for both car drivers and pedestrians. The objectives of the system were to build a real time surveillance system for intelligent roads of the future. The system should be able to detect lane lines, cars, pedestrians and other moving vehicles on the road. In case a car goes off its course, the system should report it as an accident. Relying on machine learning technology, a real time detection based neural network was constructed to be trained on picking up objects in any given scene like cars, buses, pedestrians, bikes and motor bikes. Also, an algorithm was designed to detect lane lines and highlight them on the screen using image processing techniques and edge detection. The system achieved its main required target which is being able to detect objects in almost real time. © 2021 ACM.

Hardware Verification of Deep Learning Accelerators (DLAs) has become critically important for testing the reliability and trustworthiness of Learning Enabled Autonomous systems (LEAS). In this paper, we introduce a scalable, reusable, and efficient hardware verification framework for DLAs using the Universal verification methodology (UVM). The verification environment is focused on testing the inference functionality of the perception module in LEAS for different DLA designs. Moreover, the verification environment is portable across simulation and hardware-assisted verification platforms for emulation and FPGA prototyping. To assess our proposed UVM design methodology, we have applied it to the Nvidia Deep Learning Accelerator (NVDLA), an open-source core for DLAs as a case study.
