Robust steganographic approach using generative adversarial network and compressive autoencoder

Nowadays, social media applications and websites have become a crucial part of people’s lives;for sharing their moments, contacting their families and friends, or even for their jobs. However, the fact that these valuable data are transferred via the Internet and open channels, which are vulnerable to attacks and espionage, requires using defense methods to improve the security of data transmission. Recently, the progress of Deep Learning (DL) inspired researchers to use it with security methods such as steganography, the art of hiding secret data in unrelated content. DL and steganography combined enhanced the hiding properties, especially in the Coverless Image Steganography (CIS) methods. In this paper, we propose a Compressive Coverless Image Steganography (CCIS) model, which is a generated-based CIS, to improve the capacity and robustness of Steganography. This model uses the compressive autoencoder to compress the message, thus increasing the capacity, and uses the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) to generate a stego image from the compressed vector, thus enhancing concealment ability, besides using a regression model and optimization method to extract the data. Another version was designed to enable sending binary messages by replacing the compressive autoencoder network with a robust mapping rule. Experiments show that the proposed model could improve the characteristics of Steganography. Furthermore, the proposed model could extract binary messages with 256 bits from attacked stego images with 99% recovery accuracy. Thus, capacity and robustness were enhanced using our model with both images and text as secret messages. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

We study the task of automated house design,which aims to automatically generate 3D houses from user ***,in the automatic system,it is non-trivial due to the intrinsic complexity of house designing:1)the understanding of user requirements,where the users can hardly provide high-quality requirements without any professional knowledge;2)the design of house plan,which mainly focuses on how to capture the effective information from user *** address the above issues,we propose an automatic house design framework,called auto-3D-house design(A3HD).Unlike the previous works that consider the user requirements in an unstructured way(e.g.,natural language),we carefully design a structured list that divides the requirements into three parts(i.e.,layout,outline,and style),which focus on the attributes of rooms,the outline of the building,and the style of decoration,*** the processing of architects,we construct a bubble diagram(i.e.,graph)that covers the rooms′attributes and relations under the constraint of *** addition,we take each outline as a combination of points and orders,ensuring that it can represent the outlines with arbitrary ***,we propose a graph feature generation module(GFGM)to capture layout features from the bubble diagrams and an outline feature generation module(OFGM)for outline ***,we render 3D houses according to the given style requirements in a rule-based *** on two benchmark datasets(i.e.,RPLAN and T3HM)demonstrate the effectiveness of our A3HD in terms of both quantitative and qualitative evaluation metrics.

VGIS (Virtual Geographic Information System) Platform is a unified oilfield operations management platform based on MaaS (Management as a Service) that integrates advanced technologies such as AIoT (Artificial Intelligence & Internet of Things), GIS (Geographic Information System), Digital Twin, and AR (Augmented Reality)/ VR (Virtual Reality). The VGIS platform connects, collects, integrates, analyses, and acts on disparate data sources to provide the oilfield with a centralized view to help make informed decisions fast, bring operational visibility across all assets to improve safety and operational efficiency, reduce costs and improve margins, provide comprehensive analytics and decision support, increase business agility, and reduce management complexity. This is a case study of the application of the VGIS platform Majnoon oilfield, Basrah, Iraq. VGIS digital transformation, production process, and KPIs (Key performance indicators) are highly managed taking oilfield management to a higher level globally, in this study, the objective is to address and resolve the issue of high costs associated with using cloud services by utilising a local Data Center (a large group of networked computer servers typically used by organizations for the remote storage, processing, or distribution of large amounts of data). This approach involves directly uploading 3D maps to ensure faster service on the intranet, eliminating the need to pay for cloud *** aims providing a platform for researching and implementing monitoring and controlling processes in a more convenient and remote manner. The vGIS platform has emerged as a crucial instrument in the realm of disaster response and crisis management. This technology enables responders to rapidly evaluate, analyse, and respond to crucial information in real-time. Bidirectional attentional mechanism for Arabic chatbot

A chatbot is an intelligent agent that developed based on Natural language processing (NLP) to interact with people in a natural language. The development of multiple deep NLP models has allowed for the creation of a vector representation of words and sentences that captures meaning in context. In this paper, a generative Arabic chatbot is trained with the Sequence to Sequence (Seq2Seq) model based on encoder-decoder architecture. It utilizes both the bi-directional encoder types of Gated Recurrent Units (GRU) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The chatbot was trained using preprocessed dataset of 12 k conversations that were translated from English to Arabic. An attention layer was provided to the RNNs to focus on the important data between the input and output sequences. The obtained results showed that the proposed chatbot performed well with long sentences and elicited positive responses. In addition to that BiLSTM with attention performs better than BiGRU without attention. To prevent irreversible damage to one’s eyesight,ocular diseases(ODs)need to be recognized and treated *** fundus imaging(CFI)is a screening technology that is both effective and *** to CFIs,the early stages of the disease are characterized by a paucity of observable symptoms,which necessitates the prompt creation of automated and robust diagnostic *** traditional research focuses on image-level diagnostics that attend to the left and right eyes in isolation without making use of pertinent correlation data between the two sets of *** addition,they usually only target one or a few different kinds of eye diseases at the same *** this study,we design a patient-level multi-label OD(PLML_ODs)classification model that is based on a spatial correlation network(SCNet).This model takes into consideration the relevance of patient-level diagnosis combining bilateral eyes and multi-label ODs ***_ODs is made up of three parts:a backbone convolutional neural network(CNN)for feature extraction i.e.,DenseNet-169,a SCNet for feature correlation,and a classifier for the development of classification *** DenseNet-169 is responsible for retrieving two separate sets of attributes,one from each of the left and right *** then,the SCNet will record the correlations between the two feature sets on a pixel-by-pixel *** the attributes have been analyzed,they are integrated to provide a representation at the patient *** the whole process of ODs categorization,the patient-level representation will be *** efficacy of the PLML_ODs is examined using a soft margin loss on a dataset that is readily accessible to the public,and the results reveal that the classification performance is significantly improved when compared to several baseline approaches.

DeepOCL:A deep neural network for Object Constraint Language generation from unrestricted nature language

Object Constraint Language(OCL)is one kind of lightweight formal specification,which is widely used for software verification and validation in NASA and Object Management Group *** OCL provides a simple expressive syntax,it is hard for the developers to write correctly due to lacking knowledge of the mathematical foundations of the first-order logic,which is approximately half accurate at the first stage of devel-opment.A deep neural network named DeepOCL is proposed,which takes the unre-stricted natural language as inputs and automatically outputs the best-scored OCL candidates without requiring a domain conceptual model that is compulsively required in existing rule-based generation *** demonstrate the validity of our proposed approach,ablation experiments were conducted on a new sentence-aligned dataset named *** experiments show that the proposed DeepOCL can achieve state of the art for OCL statement generation,scored 74.30 on BLEU,and greatly outperformed experienced developers by 35.19%.The proposed approach is the first deep learning approach to generate the OCL expression from the natural *** can be further developed as a CASE tool for the software industry.

Improving Brain Tumor Classification with Deep Learning Using Synthetic Data

Deep learning(DL)techniques,which do not need complex preprocessing and feature analysis,are used in many areas of medicine and achieve promising *** the other hand,in medical studies,a limited dataset decreases the abstraction ability of the DL *** this context,we aimed to produce synthetic brain images including three tumor types(glioma,meningioma,and pituitary),unlike traditional data augmentation methods,and classify them with *** study proposes a tumor classification model consisting of a Dense Convolutional Network(DenseNet121)-based DL model to prevent forgetting problems in deep networks and delay information flow between *** comparing models trained on two different datasets,we demonstrated the effect of synthetic images generated by Cycle Generative Adversarial Network(CycleGAN)on the generalization of *** model is trained only on the original dataset,while the other is trained on the combined dataset of synthetic and original *** data generated by CycleGAN improved the best accuracy values for glioma,meningioma,and pituitary tumor classes from 0.9633,0.9569,and 0.9904 to 0.9968,0.9920,and 0.9952,*** developed model using synthetic data obtained a higher accuracy value than the related studies in the ***,except for pixel-level and affine transform data augmentation,synthetic data has been generated in the figshare brain dataset for the first time.

YOLOCSP-PEST for Crops Pest Localization and Classification

Preservation of the crops depends on early and accurate detection of pests on crops as they cause several diseases decreasing crop production and quality. Several deep-learning techniques have been applied to overcome the issue of pest detection on crops. We have developed the YOLOCSP-PEST model for Pest localization and classification. With the Cross Stage Partial Network (CSPNET) backbone, the proposed model is a modified version of You Only Look Once Version 7 (YOLOv7) that is intended primarily for pest localization and classification. Our proposed model gives exceptionally good results under conditions that are very challenging for any other comparable models especially conditions where we have issues with the luminance and the orientation of the images. It helps farmers working out on their crops in distant areas to determine any infestation quickly and accurately on their crops which helps in the quality and quantity of the production yield. The model has been trained and tested on 2 datasets namely the IP102 data set and a local crop data set on both of which it has shown exceptional results. It gave us a mean average precision (mAP) of 88.40% along with a precision of 85.55% and a recall of 84.25% on the IP102 dataset meanwhile giving a mAP of 97.18% on the local data set along with a recall of 94.88% and a precision of 97.50%. These findings demonstrate that the proposed model is very effective in detecting real-life scenarios and can help in the production of crops improving the yield quality and quantity at the same time.

The extreme learning machine is a fast neural network with outstanding performance. However, the selection of an appropriate number of hidden nodes is time-consuming, because training must be run for several values, and this is undesirable for a real-time response. We propose to use moving average, exponential moving average, and divide-and-conquer strategies to reduce the number of training’s required to select this size. Compared with the original, constrained, mixed, sum, and random sum extreme learning machines, the proposed methods achieve a percentage of time reduction up to 98% with equal or better generalization ability. © 2024, Brno University of technology.
