Applications that support multimedia data such as medical pictures and videos, video broadcasting, and secure video conferencing consume vast quantities of information that require large numbers of servers to provide services for the many client users who access them. Cloud-based sensitive data becomes increasingly important for the respective users to be kept confidential without infringing confidentiality, integrity, and availability. We propose a framework based on the OpenStack cloud-computing platform for multimedia data security. A prototype framework with a helper tool EncSwift is implemented, which allows stringent data access control and applying the data-at-rest Over-Encryption approach. The implementation is evaluated for computation of cryptography operations, cost of communications, and update policy consequences for the framework. With OpenStack Swift’s open source and modular design, our multimedia data management and management framework is well suited to protecting and managing clouds’ multimedia with low computational costs as shown in the experimental results. © 2023 IEEE.

The software engineering field has long focused on creating high-quality software despite limited *** defects before the testing stage of software development can enable quality assurance engineers to con-centrate on problematic modules rather than all the *** approach can enhance the quality of the final product while lowering development *** defective modules early on can allow for early corrections and ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality product that satisfies customers and instills greater confidence in the development *** process is known as software defect prediction,and it can improve end-product quality while reducing the cost of testing and *** study proposes a software defect prediction system that utilizes data fusion,feature selection,and ensemble machine learning fusion techniques.A novel filter-based metric selection technique is proposed in the framework to select the optimum features.A three-step nested approach is presented for predicting defective modules to achieve high *** the first step,three supervised machine learning techniques,including Decision Tree,Support Vector Machines,and Naïve Bayes,are used to detect faulty *** second step involves integrating the predictive accuracy of these classification techniques through three ensemble machine-learning methods:Bagging,Voting,and ***,in the third step,a fuzzy logic technique is employed to integrate the predictive accuracy of the ensemble machine learning *** experiments are performed on a fused software defect dataset to ensure that the developed fused ensemble model can perform effectively on diverse *** NASA datasets are integrated to create the fused dataset:MW1,PC1,PC3,PC4,and *** to the results,the proposed system exhibited superior performance to other advanced techniques for predicting software defects,achieving a remarkable accuracy rate of 92.08%.

This research paper focuses on increasing the awareness between taxi users and can help to protect themselves in COVID-19 and take precautions. Since 2019 the global pandemic of Covid-19 is spreading at an astonishing rate and causes a negative impact for economic, social, and cultural factors. Government agencies are warning people to reduce the transportation and to maintain social distance. To stop the spread of COVID-19 required to identify persons who are susceptible to infection and need to trace the COVID-19 positive first contacts. Most people are reduced to using public transportations and taxi services due to unidentifiable health conditions in earlier users. The proposed approach can be used to track the taxi drivers and their passengers previous COVID-19 status as well as navigate the safest route by showing the COVID-19 contamination areas. By using this approach users can be aware of earlier users of the taxi service and COVID-19 status of the taxi driver or passenger before taking the trip as well as if they get touch with any COVID-19 patients, can take immediate precautions. This application helps to increase the usage of taxis by making users trust and confidence against COVID-19 infection. By testing with real users our system was able to trace down 45 passengers and 16 drivers within 3 months. © 2022 IEEE.

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users' feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users' preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly. © 2022 IEEE.

Breast cancer is a significant global healthcare challenge, particularly in developing and underdeveloped countries, with profound physical, emotional, and psychological consequences, including mortality. Timely diagnosis and accurate treatment are crucial in addressing this issue. We propose the utilization of a feature selection technique to identify the most relevant features from among all features for breast cancer diagnosis, and show that Genetic Algorithms are impressive for this task. The study compares the results of GA with no selection and an alternative method, Principle Component Analysis (PCA). Three machine learning models, all based on supervised learning with data split into training and test data, are employed for binary classification using the selected feature subset. The evaluation metrics employed encompass accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Among the selected models, Random Forest demonstrates the most favorable outcomes, achieving an accuracy score of 0.96, precision score of 0.96, recall value of 0.98, and an F1-score of 0.97. These results underscore the effectiveness of GA in feature selection for breast cancer diagnosis. Consequently, the integration of Genetic Algorithms (GA) with Random Forest showcases the superior performance among the evaluated models. © 2023 IEEE.

SARS-CoV-2 is an infection that affects several organs and has a wide range of symptoms in addition to producing severe acute respiratory syndrome. Millions of individuals were infected when it first started because of how quickly it travelled from its starting location to nearby countries. Anticipating positive Covid-19 incidences is required in order to better understand future risk and take the proper preventative and precautionary measures. As a result, it is critical to create mathematical models that are durable and have as few prediction errors as possible. This study suggests a unique hybrid strategy for examining the status of Covid-19 confirmed patients in conjunction with complete vaccination. First, the selective opposition technique is initially included into the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) in this study to improve the exploration and exploitation capacity for the given challenge. Second, to execute the prediction task with the optimized hyper-parameter values, the Least Squares Support Vector Machines (LSSVM) method is integrated with Selective Opposition based GWO as an objective function. The data source includes daily occurrences of confirmed cases in Malaysia from February 24, 2021 to July 27, 2022. Based on the experimental results, this paper shows that SOGWO-LSSVM outperforms a few other hybrid techniques with ideally adjusted parameters. © 2022 IEEE.

The Virtual Reality (VR) Semiconductor Laboratory, a computer-based virtual lab designed for training engineering students in semiconductor concepts, was evaluated to enhance user experience (UX) in virtual environments. A sample of 97 participants, including undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students, participated in the study. The User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) was developed to collect data from users to evaluate their experience with the VR lab. The results of the study showed that the participants had a positive experience with the VR learning environment. They found the experience to be enjoyable, easy to understand, and helpful in completing learning tasks. The majority of participants rated the experience as very easy or easy in terms of learning and understanding the material, enjoyment, ease of using the interface, comfort with body movement during learning, and assistance with tasks. Additionally, most participants rated the experience as very easy in terms of task completion and comfort with the VR experiment. The study found high reliability in terms of usability, indicating that the UEQ is a valid and reliable tool for assessing virtual laboratory usability. These findings suggest that virtual laboratories can be effective learning and training tools in various fields, such as science and engineering. This research highlights the potential of VR technology in improving the training and learning experience for students. © 2023 IEEE.

Depression is a psychiatric condition characterized by a persistent feeling of sadness and diminished interest in significant activities. Diagnosing this health problem is challenging because it relies on several social and physiological factors. The timely identification of depression aids in the prevention of severe outcomes, such as suicide. Early detection of depression levels is crucial to prevent adverse effects and enhance the quality of everyday life. The purpose of this work is to use data preprocessing techniques to create a clean dataset from noisy and incomplete medical data that includes blood biomarker values of patients and then apply data mining techniques to this dataset to predict the degree of depression. Adana Dr. Ekrem Tok Mental Health Hospital supplied the raw data for the study, with consent from the ethics committee. Missing data are completed by filling with the constant value and the most frequent value methods (i.e., 0 and mode values) in the relevant column. The classification of the dataset is performed using AdaBoost, Decision Tree (DT), and Logistic Regression (LR) classifiers, which have been previously used in medical datasets and demonstrated to be effective. The Logistic Regression classifier achieved the highest success rate (Accuracy: 0.541 and weighted F-score: 0.481). © 2024 IEEE.

Load balancing methods in networks aim to distribute traffic evenly between nodes to prevent overloading of individual routes and improve overall network performance. For instance, machine learning-based routing allows you to analyze network behavior and predict optimal routes for data transmission, which is especially effective in complex dynamic networks. Another option is Pareto Optimization, which is used to consider multiple criteria, such as minimizing latency and energy consumption, simultaneously. The reliability of networks, especially wireless ones, is becoming an issue that requires solutions that can adapt to constantly changing conditions, creating stable communication systems. The article describes and tests a simulation model of a wireless network in which requests are sent from sources through towers to two different recipients simultaneously along several paths. The use of intermediate switching nodes allows using the AOMDV protocol to build different data transmission routes. The simulation results for various modifications of the model allow us to evaluate the advantages of using multipath routing.

The development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for several companies operating in sectors such as tourism, healthcare, or others, presents significant challenges due to the nature of their multi-component architecture. A typical DSS consists of a data component, a model component incorporating machine learning and deep learning techniques, and a user interface component, each one requires diverse technologies. This complexity increases development time and effort, hindering the efficient design of DSS tailored to specific domains like tourism, where real-time decision-making is essential. One promising approach to overcome these challenges is the use of Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs). DSLs allow developers to model and generate code more efficiently by providing high-level abstractions suited to the domain. By leveraging DSLs, it is possible to simplify the design process and automate the generation of code or parts of the DSS, thereby reducing the overall complexity and time required for development. This paper proposes a metamodel for designing DSS, specifically for the Smart Tourism sector. The metamodel serves as a foundation for the creation of DSL. The goal is to provide a solution to facilitate the development of DSS for the demands of tourism. The paper outlines the key concepts, approach, and results, presenting the first element of the proposed DSL which is the metamodel capturing the essential components and relationships for DSS in Smart Tourism.
