This paper proposes an innovative decision support system based on sentiment analysis, specifically designed for the transportation sector. The system employs an aspect-based sentiment analysis approach, which accurately identifies and classifies customer opinions on key transportation service aspects such as comfort, driver behavior, punctuality, and vehicle condition. By integrating the BERT model, known for its advanced natural language processing capabilities, our system provides an in-depth and reliable analysis of customer sentiments. This analysis enables managers and decision-makers to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the provided transportation services and to precisely target areas that require improvement. By offering actionable insights, our approach aims to enhance the user experience, improve service quality, and increase overall customer satisfaction.

A Multivocal Review of MLOps Practices, Challenges and Open Issues

With the increasing trend of Machine Learning (ML) enabled software applications, the paradigm of ML Operations (MLOps) has gained tremendous attention of researchers and practitioners. MLOps encompasses the practices and technologies for streamlining the resources and monitoring needs of operationalizing ML models. software development practitioners need access to the detailed and easily understandable knowledge of MLOps workflows, practices, challenges and solutions to effectively and efficiently support the adoption of MLOps. Whilst the academic and industry literature on the MLOps has been growing rapidly, there have been relatively a few attempts at systematically synthesizing and analyzing the vast amount of existing literature of MLOps for improving ease of access and understanding. We conducted a Multivocal Literature Review (MLR) of 150 relevant academic studies and 48 gray literature to provide a comprehensive body of knowledge on MLOps. Through this MLR, we identified the emerging MLOps practices, adoption challenges and solutions related to various areas, including development and operation of complex pipelines, managing production at scale, managing artifacts, and ensuring quality, security, governance, and ethical aspects. We also report the socio-technical aspect of MLOps relating to diverse roles involved and collaboration practices across them through the MLOps lifecycle. We assert that this MLR provides valuable insights to researchers and practitioners seeking to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of MLOps. Load balancing methods in networks aim to distribute traffic evenly between nodes to prevent overloading of individual routes and improve overall network performance. For instance, machine learning-based routing allows you to analyze network behavior and predict optimal routes for data transmission, which is especially effective in complex dynamic networks. Another option is Pareto Optimization, which is used to consider multiple criteria, such as minimizing latency and energy consumption, simultaneously. The reliability of networks, especially wireless ones, is becoming an issue that requires solutions that can adapt to constantly changing conditions, creating stable communication systems. The article describes and tests a simulation model of a wireless network in which requests are sent from sources through towers to two different recipients simultaneously along several paths. The use of intermediate switching nodes allows using the AOMDV protocol to build different data transmission routes. The simulation results for various modifications of the model allow us to evaluate the advantages of using multipath routing. © 2025 IEEE.

The proliferation of consumer data can be attributed to 'the Internet of Things (IoT),' which makes it easier to access and more detailed than before. In this research our purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of a consumer behavior analysis model using data from IoT. The quality of the model is evaluated on multiple parameters - accuracy, predictability and business sense for marketing. It uses the analytics of huge amounts for data from IoT devices to predict patterns, customer preferences and trends. The proposed method called as Enhanced Neural Classification Logic (ENCL) is cross-validated with the already existing method, which is termed as Consumer behavior Forecasting Strategy (CBFS), and helps users to share gather or process information in a fast and cost-effective way through the proposed method. The results are useful to grasp the promise of IoT in more effective consumer behavior analysis. The research portrays the strengths, weaknesses and possible areas of improvement in this model which will be beneficial for both academic and industry practitioners. As such, the objective of this study is to show how an IoT-based consumer behavior analysis can increase business growth and customer satisfaction. The experimental evaluations demonstrate significant improvements in predictive performance over traditional methods, providing actionable insights for targeted marketing and strategic decision-making. The results highlight ENCL's potential to transform consumer behavior analysis by delivering more precise and nuanced understandings of market dynamics. © 2024 IEEE.

The Sequence-to-Sequence (Seq2Seq) of neural network (NN) method based on recurrent neural network (RNN) and attention mechanism plays an important role in information extraction and automatic summarization. However, this method can't make full use of the text linguistic feature information, and there is a problem of unregistered words in the generated results, which affects the accuracy and readability of the text summarization. To solve this problem, the text linguistic feature is used to improve the input characteristics, and the copy mechanism is introduced to alleviate the problem of unregistered words in the summarization generation process. On this basis, a new method named Copy-Generator Model (CGM) based on Seq2Seq model is proposed to improve the effect of text summarization. The results of experiments using LCSTS (Large Scale Chinese Short Text Summarization) as the data source show that the proposed method in this paper can effectively improve the accuracy of summarization and can be applied to automatic text summarization. © 2021 IEEE.

Given the rising prevalence of ophthalmic disorders, this study aims to meet the urgent need for an automated technique capable of diagnosing and treating these conditions. Our approach combines deep learning and machine learning techniques to develop a diagnostic system that can detect and classify seven distinct ophthalmic disorders. Manual diagnosis of ophthalmic disorders is labor-intensive and slow, worsened by a shortage of medical experts. In this paper, we propose a medical diagnostic system that utilizes deep features extracted from a ResNet-50 CNN, which has been trained on retinal images enhanced through contrast-limited adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE). These deep features serve as input for the machine learning model. To address the class imbalance problem, we employed ADASYN to generate synthetic features for all classes. An Ensemble subspace KNN classifier, trained on these deep features, achieved a remarkable mean accuracy of 99.18% compared to other classifiers evaluated in this study. The proposed technique has the potential to assist medical experts in achieving timely and accurate diagnoses of ophthalmic diseases. © 2024 IEEE.

During the application development process, it is important for a developer to analyze user requirements. This is crucial to the success of interactive systems and is an essential component of the design of information systems. User requirement analysis aids developers in understanding and analyzing users' needs and technology requirements. Throughout this case study, it is able to forecast the understanding, and technology acceptance, and at the same time improve the quality of work, reducing training and support costing and perennially improve customer or user satisfaction. The method of research selected is questionnaires that focused on collecting the data directly from Malaysian farmers through Google Forms as an online medium. The method was chosen because it is easy to implement and inexpensive due to the current situation of Covid-19. The questionnaire is designed with two sections where;a) includes the participant's demography to analyze information of the intended audience while b)focused on the knowledge of participants about recognition images. Results demonstrate the farmer's opinion and knowledge of the technology of image recognition in the agriculture sector. The quantitative research was undertaken using an online platform due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From the analysis, it is justified that the technology Acceptance Model (TAM) together with the mobile farming image recognition app is useful in collecting farmers' feedback and positive results have an outcome on the challenges faced by the durian farmers. © 2023 IEEE.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) changed the world’s lifestyle switching many techno-services to be provided remotely instead of direct usual physical interactions between people. This study focused on university students’ perceptions of this virtual technology-engineering change as discrepancies to be analyzed. The research surveyed 777 different students from four Arab middle-east neighboring countries, with related demographics and specifications, expressing full remarkable experiences of e-technology in virtual as well as traditional performances helping reveal overall tolerance possibilities. The study adopted examination technology via ANOVA to test discrepancies within students' perceptions for overall multi-factors deep analysis classification. The exploration highlighted an interesting range of pros and cons remarks including feminism and economic effect as well as other cultural and engineering interaction issues, raising signals to essentially consider and mutually benefit from adequate future generation e-techno adaptation within the region. © The Author(s) 2023.

Exploiting the sequential nature of genomic data for improved analysis and identification

Genomic data is growing exponentially, posing new challenges for sequence analysis and classification, particularly for managing and understanding harmful new viruses that may later cause pandemics. Recent genome sequence classification models yield promising performance. However, the majority of them do not consider the sequential arrangement of nucleotides and amino acids, a critical aspect for uncovering their inherent structure and function. To overcome this, we introduce GenoAnaCla, a novel approach for analyzing and classifying genome sequences, based on sequential pattern mining (SPM). The proposed approach first constructs and preprocesses datasets comprising RNA virus genome sequences in three formats: nucleotide, coding region, and protein. Then, to capture sequential features for the analysis and classification of viruses, GenoAnaCla extracts frequent sequential patterns and rules in three forms and in codons. Eight classifiers are utilized, and their effectiveness is assessed by employing a variety of evaluation metrics. A performance comparison demonstrates that the suggested approach surpasses the current state-of-the-art genome sequence classification and detection techniques with a 3.18% performance increase in accuracy on average. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

Towards personalized control of things using Arabic voice commands for elderly and with disabilities people

Considering recent smart home solutions that automate home appliances through voice commands, elderly people and/or with special needs prefer using their mother-tongue. However, most of current systems adopt the English language, making it harder for non-native English speakers, while personalization is not heavily considered. In this paper, we propose the Arabic Personalized Control of Things (APCoT) system that achieves inhabitant-tailored home automation through Arabic voice commands based on the user’s preferences to control a home device. A new dataset is created for a wider range of Arabic voice commands to interact with home appliances rather than just turning them on/off. Internet of Things, voice and speech recognition are utilized to attain personalization according to the inhabitants' voiceprints, while infrared is adopted to control non-smart devices supporting infrared signals. As a Proof-of-Concept, three home appliances are adopted: TV, Lights and Bluetooth speaker. Machine learning algorithms are customized for Arabic voice recognition, integrating face and hand gestures recognition to provide an additional facility for inhabitant’s identification and sending control commands respectively. The experimental results indicate that the best average accuracies obtained for Arabic voice recognition were 99.63% for a single speaker and 95.4% for multi-speakers, with average response times 0.141s and 14.29s respectively. For speech recognition, Google online API and a customized Vosk offline pretrained model achieved average accuracies of 95% and 90%, average response times 0.7553s and 0.3933s respectively. The face and hand gestures recognition achieved average accuracies of 90% and 98%, average response times 0.5934s and 15.62049s respectively. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management.
