The capacity to individually identify and categorize people across sites and apps is vital for trustworthiness, fraud prevention, and personalized experiences in online social networking. In this study, strategies for platform identification among similar and unknown social networking users are evaluated. We study strategies that employ user attributes, behavior history, and inter-network connections to match profiles on multiple platforms and uncover new, previously connected people. This cross-validation on the proposed method uses Social Linkage Identification Strategy (SLIS) and Friend Relationship Evaluator. According to quantitative experiment results, our approach improves search people across multiple social networks more than FRE. The extensive social connection web in many online social networks is used to enhance user identification and verification via the Friend Relationship Evaluator (FRE) system. Our process uses advanced machine learning and data fusion to handle a wide variety of natural ventilation phenomena from different sensors and platform formats. We evaluate attribute-based matching, graph approaches, and behavior analytics for accuracy, scalability, and computing cost. This study advances user identification systems across digital platforms and helps service providers and end-users establish more sophisticated online identity management strategies. © 2024 IEEE.

On the Stability of Strategic Energy Storage Operation in Wholesale Electricity Markets (Extended Version)

High shares of variable renewable energy necessitate substantial energy storage capacity. However, it remains unclear how to design a market that, on the one hand, ensures a stable and sufficient income for storage firms, and, on the other hand, maintains stable and affordable electricity costs for the consumers. Here, we use a game theoretic model to study storage competition in wholesale electricity markets. A main result is that these types of games are not necessarily stable. In particular, we find that under certain conditions, which imply a combination of a high share of variable renewable energy sources and low flexibility of conventional power plants, the system will not converge to an equilibrium. However, we demonstrate that a price cap on storage price bids can ensure convergence to a stable solution. Moreover, we find that when the flexibility of conventional power plants is low, while the storage usage for energy balancing increases with renewable energy generation, the profitability of using storage for the sole purpose of energy arbitrage decreases. The Internet of things (IoT) is getting more and more intrusive into our lives until the day comes when everything becomes connected to the Internet. Due to the limited resources and heterogeneous Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the traditional means of protection are useless and cannot be used to protect these devices. The most important security risks, their causes and the consequences of their occurrence have been listed, scheduled and categorized. The study concluded that there are real security risks that cannot be ignored, and they need to find innovative solutions to eliminate them or reduce their damage to a minimum. This paper showed the main risks addressed in previews research, and outlined the gaps in this field of technology, also producing a brief summary information about the most important solution to avoid many threats against the IoT field.

Electroencephalogram(EEG)is a medical imaging technology that can measure the electrical activity of the scalp produced by the brain,measured and recorded chronologically the surface of the scalp from the *** recorded signals from the brain are rich with useful *** inference of this useful information is a challenging *** paper aims to process the EEG signals for the recognition of human emotions specifically happiness,anger,fear,sadness,and surprise in response to audiovisual *** EEG signals are recorded by placing neurosky mindwave headset on the subject’s scalp,in response to audiovisual stimuli for the mentioned *** a bandpass filter with a bandwidth of 1-100 Hz,recorded raw EEG signals are *** preprocessed signals then further analyzed and twelve selected features in different domains are *** Random forest(RF)and multilayer perceptron(MLP)algorithms are then used for the classification of the emotions through extracted *** proposed audiovisual stimuli based EEG emotion classification system shows an average classification accuracy of 80%and 88%usingMLP and RF classifiers respectively on hybrid features for experimental signals of different *** proposed model outperforms in terms of cost and accuracy.

Ontologies are an essential component of semantic integration approaches for information systems . In a decentralized environment, each specification of the domain reflects an Ontological view. However, the semantics characterization of information systems in such decentralized environment poses a significant issue related to their integration. Information systems are viewed as independent intensional entities with their own beliefs, distinct from those held by others. Such autonomy is distorted by traditional extensional semantics. Other entities’ beliefs are introduced into a given entity, thus affecting their beliefs. Additionally, the information that one entity provides to another entity may not be consistent with the information known by the latter. We need an alternative semantics for information integration, which is not dependent on the extension, but rather on the underlying conceptualization. This paper proposes a classification of the environment where the information systems lives and a novel modelling paradigm for information integration using intensional logic to model the ontological views. The intricacies and instability of introducing cryogenic propellants into the combustion system have piqued the curiosity of scientists studying the procedure. The latest innovation is utilizing data-driven machine learning and deep learning approaches to gain deeper insights into the related difficulties. However, the current work serves as a baseline for future research because relatively few studies have used data-driven methodologies to assess the temperature of liquid fuel injections in combustion systems. The performance of Linear Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), Extra Trees Regressor (ETR), Polynomial Regression (PR), Support Vector Regressor (SVR), Decision Tree Regressor (DTR), Gradient Boost Regressor (GBR), XGB Regressor (XGBoost), AdaBoost Regressor (ABR), K-Neighbors Regressor (KNR), Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM), Bi-LSTM (Bi-directional Long-Short Term Memory) has all been investigated in this study. The study also suggested a Fully Connected Neural Network (FCNN) to examine its performance and paired it with an Extra Tree Regressor (ETR). The coupled FCNN and Extra Tree Regressor outperform the other algorithms with a Mean Square Error (MSE) of 0.0000005062, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.00071148, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.00020672, and R-squared (R2) value of 0.99998689. Linear Regression, Polynomial Regression, and Support Vector Regressor are found to be the least-performing algorithms. The current work uses machine learning and deep learning methods to make data-driven decisions for liquid fuel injection in the combustion system. © The Author(s) 2025.

Designing embedding costs is pivotal in modern image steganography. Many studies have shown adjusting symmetric embedding costs to asymmetric ones can enhance steganographic security. However, most existing methods heavily depend on manually defined parameters or rules, limiting security performance improvements. To overcome this limitation, we introduce an advanced GAN-based framework that transitions symmetric costs to asymmetric ones without the need for the manual intervention seen in existing approaches, such as the detailed specification of cost modulation directions and magnitudes. In our framework, we firstly achieve symmetric costs for a cover image, which is randomly split into two sub-images, with part of the secret information embedded into one. Subsequently, we design a GAN model to adjust the embedding costs of the second sub-image to asymmetric, facilitating the secure embedding of the remaining secret information. To support our phased embedding approach, our GAN's discriminator incorporates two steganalyers with different tasks: distinguishing the generator's final output, i.e., the stego image, from both the input cover image and the partially embedded stego image, providing diverse guidance to the generator. In addition, we introduce a simple yet effective update strategy to ensure a stable training process. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly enhances security over existing symmetric steganography techniques, achieving state-of-the-art levels compared to other methods focused on embedding costs adjustments. Additionally, detailed ablation studies validate our approach's effectiveness. © 2024 ACM.

People having visual impairment can't perform routine tasks on their own such that they are obliged to perform even the simplest task with assistance. Since their issue can't be resolved with visual glasses or lenses, the various mode of advancing technologies is playing an immense role in aiding them. Plenty of research work and development of gadgets have been proposed regarding the assistance of visually impaired people. From deep learning along with sensor-based initiative systems to various ranges of software have been developed but until now every system or software heeds on a particular feature. This article is based on purposing the idea of developing a cross-platform application named Optic Ally, intelligent assistance for visually impaired people that will provide all salient features in it regarding their assistance. For this idea of Optic Ally application, a novel model-driven framework is introduced that comprises a meta-model, tree editor, and graphical modeling tool that is Sirius based with drag and drop palette. The modeling and visualization of the features of this app are done using the Sirius-based graphical modeling tool. Moreover, a case study has been demonstrated for the validity of the proposed framework. The outcome of the case study proves that the proposed framework is competent in modeling and visualizing features effectively. The initial developed stage of the application is also shown in this article. Optic Ally application features include object detection, object finder, location, voice assistance, guardian help, link account and profile setup for the visually impaired user whereas for the guardian user the features include location, profile setup and guardian help © 2022 IEEE.
