This paper presents a comprehensive survey on the development of Intel SGX(software guard extensions)processors and its *** the advent of SGX in 2013 and its subsequent development,the corresponding research works are also increasing *** order to get a more comprehensive literature review related to SGX,we have made a systematic analysis of the related papers in this *** first search through five large-scale paper retrieval libraries by keywords(i.e.,ACM Digital Library,IEEE/IET Electronic Library,SpringerLink,Web of Science,and Elsevier Science Direct).We read and analyze a total of 128 SGX-related *** first round of extensive study is conducted to classify *** second round of intensive study is carried out to complete a comprehensive analysis of the paper from various *** start with the working environment of SGX and make a conclusive summary of trusted execution environment(TEE).We then focus on the applications of *** also review and study multifarious attack methods to SGX framework and some recent security improvements made on ***,we summarize the advantages and disadvantages of SGX with some future research *** hope this review could help the existing and future research works on SGX and its application for both developers and users.

Plastic pollution has become a major environmental challenge globally as millions of tons of plastic waste are entering oceans and landfills every year. The production and usage of plastic has surged due to its low cost and easy availability. This in turn leads to widespread usage of single-use plastics. Plastic waste takes centuries to degrade and when it decomposes, it breaks down into harmful microplastics that pollute the air, soil and water. This pollution of microplastics threatens wildlife, marine life and creates health risks for human beings. Moreover, plastic production and its waste release significant amounts of greenhouse gases which further contribute to climate change. As plastic waste is continuously accumulating in the environment its long-term effects on humans, climate and ecosystem are inevitable. On the other hand, the increased usage of electronic devices has transformed daily life and has raised concerns about the energy consumption of these devices and the generation of e-waste due to disposable batteries. Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as an innovative way to convert mechanical energy into electricity by utilizing frictional forces and vibrations. TENGs can be integrated into wearable electronics which in turn eliminates the need for frequent battery replacement and enhances sustainability. This study presents a low-cost triboelectric nanogenerator made from recycled bubble wrap and sketching paper (BW-TENG). BW-TENG offers an efficient and eco-friendly way to generate energy from common household waste materials. BW-TENG is capable of generating an open circuit voltage (V oc ) of 6.38 V, a short circuit current (I sc ) of 5.9 µA and a maximum output power of 7.84 µW respectively. BW TENG not only ensures the circularity of waste materials but also highlights the cost-effective manufacturing of a lightweight triboelectric nanogenerator.

Three-phase circuits that are Symmetrically Configured in the Narrow Sense (SCNS) have been defined in previous works as circuits which dq0 dynamic model does not depend on the transformation's reference angle. This property leads to dynamic models that are linear and time-invariant in the dq0 reference frame, or at least suitable for low-complexity numerical analysis, which is crucial when studying large-scale power systems. The current work is an extension of two previous works on the same topic. We continue here to explore properties of SCNS circuits, and provide two crucial extensions: first we explore circuits that are not passive, such as generators and inverters, and second we extend the mathematical formulation to apply to circuits that have more then one frame of reference. Our primary objective is to further enrich and extend the theoretical and practical tools introduced in previous works. The theoretical tools presented here are followed by a detailed case-study. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Capuchin search algorithm (CSA) is a newly matured meta-heuristic algorithm based on the natural roaming habits of capuchin monkeys while foraging. The key flaws of this meta-heuristic include convergence to local optimums as well as early convergence. To get around these issues, this study presents a new variant of CSA, referred to as heterogeneous comprehensive opposite learning-based CSA (HCOLCSA), which combines heterogeneous comprehensive learning (HCL) and opposite-based learning (OBL) strategies. The HCL strategy is presented to modify the velocity term of all capuchins for the purpose of improving the exploration and exploitation behaviors in HCOLCSA, while the OBL strategy is embedded into HCOLCSA to boost its exploration and exploitation capabilities of the search space and prevent the trapping of local optimums. To verify the performance of the developed HCOLCSA algorithm, it was evaluated on a set of 29 benchmark functions of the IEEE CEC-2017 test group for dimensions 10, 30, 50, and 100, and then applied to the benchmark functions of the IEEE CEC-2011 evolutionary algorithm competition to demonstrate its reliability and suitability to solve real-world problems. Friedman’s tests, Holm’s tests, and convergence analysis were performed to assess the strength of HCOLCSA compared to others. The numerical findings demonstrate that in more than 92 percent of cases, HCOLCSA produced better results and earned the highest ranking. The results show that HCOLCSA outperforms competing algorithms, demonstrating that it can solve real-world problems represented by CEC-2011 standard functions.

Scaling down to scale up: benchmarking single-machine graph processing frameworks in a hardware-constrained environment

Graph processing frameworks are pivotal in managing the increasing complexity and size of datasets in numerous computational fields. However, the performance of these frameworks can vary significantly depending on their design and the specific conditions under which they are tested. This paper presents a comprehensive benchmarking study of six single-machine graph processing frameworks: GraphChi, Ligra, X-stream, MMap, GridGraph, and GPOP across a variety of datasets and graph processing algorithms, and on a consumer-level machine. In the evaluation of the frameworks, several performance metrics were used, which are execution time, CPU, and memory usage, as well as qualitative metrics, such as ease of use and comprehensive documentation which contribute to determining each framework’s practical effectiveness. Our findings indicate that no single framework excels in all aspects; instead, each framework demonstrates strengths and weaknesses that are context-dependent. By evaluating frameworks in a unified environment rather than their original setups, the study explores which frameworks perform more effectively under comparable conditions.

This work presents a novel method for predicting the yield of Micro-electromechanical Systems (MEMS) resonators by using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to extract morphological features from cross-sections images of MEMS resonators' beams produced by Deep Reactive-Ion Etching (DRIE). By establishing a model that maps the relationships between the MEMS resonators' operating frequency and the morphological variations in beams induced by process deviations, this method can predict the operating frequency more than 103 times faster than Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation, achieving over 96.7% accuracy, advancing the standardization of MEMS resonators manufacturing flow. © 2025 IEEE.

In the era of Big Data, Information can be generated, extracted, and utilized in diverse ways. In business, information about business capabilities can be a crucial aspect in understanding the strengths and competencies of organizations. This Information can empower stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding partnerships, acquisitions, and market positioning. Additionally, by comparing capabilities across companies and industries, organizations can identify their competitive advantages, industry trends, potential disruptions, and effective resource allocations, leading to improved strategies and better market opportunities. Traditional methods for extracting business capabilities primarily rely on keyword matching or rule-based techniques, which often fail to capture the complex relationships between words in a sentence. This paper presents a comprehensive study on extracting business capabilities using dependency parsing techniques in natural language processing (NLP) to overcome limitations of the traditional methods and improve the accuracy of business capability extraction. Dependency parsing utilizes pre-trained language models to analyze the grammatical structure of sentences, identifying the dependencies between words and capturing their relationships. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through experiments conducted on more than 40K real-world company descriptions crawled from Wikipedia.

Crowd detection and prevention systems have become essential for managing densely populated areas. Modern systems leverage the combined power of machine learning, data mining, and image processing to extract and analyse features from crowded zones, enabling the identification of behavioural patterns and anomalies. However, most current solutions primarily focus on detection and lack robust decision-making and recommendation mechanisms for selecting appropriate crowd-prevention strategies. To address this gap, we integrate the predictive capabilities of machine learning models with the analytical and clustering strengths of Fuzzy Formal Concept Analysis (fuzzy FCA). Machine learning is employed to extract valuable insights from images of the area, with a neural network used to identify human figures, track individuals' positions, and predict crowd levels. This data is fed into an FFCA-based decision system, where crowd information is structured and clustered using lattice theory. This latter helped exclude low-crowd zones and cluster the rest of the monitored areas based on their crowd features. Additionally, we define bottom-up parsing algorithms to recommend suitable crowd-prevention plans based on crowd density levels within fuzzy formal concepts. Experiments confirmed not only the ability of fuzzy FCA to "exclude" low-crowd zones thanks to a used crowd threshold but also the efficient "feature-based clustering" of crowded zones into hierarchical formal concepts and these latter’s "bottom-up parsing" to finally identify the dense zones.

Slices reconstructing algorithm for single image dedusting

For solving the image degradation in the non-uniform dusting environment with multiple scattering lights, the slices reconstructing algorithm for single image was proposed for dust elimination in the paper. Firstly, the slices along the depth orientation were produced based on McCartney model in dust environment. Secondly, the union algorithm of dust detection was used to detect dust patches in the slices where non-dust areas were reserved while the dust zones were marked as the candidate detecting areas of the next slice image. Then, the image was reconstructed by combining these non-dust areas of each slice and the dust zone of the last slice. Finally, the faster guided filter was applied to the reconstructed area. The experimental results had proved that the reconstruction algorithm could get rid of dust in object image not only effectively but also fast. The paper's work had laid the foundation for object detection and recognition work had based on computer vision in dust's environment. Copyright © 2020 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
