Today, financial technology is a part of consumer needs. Mobile payments are used to support daily transactions, so a study of factors that can support behavioral intention and mobile money use is conducted. This study examines the support of digital literacy, perceived security, and perceived compatibility of mobile payments in increasing behavioral intention and mobile money use. The research was conducted on mobile payment users in Bandung City (Indonesia), and 416 research participants were asked using a questionnaire. The research was conducted using a quantitative survey and was processed using the SmartPLS tool. Two tests, namely, the PLS Algorithm and Bootstrapping, were used to test the research model. Next, the research hypothesis testing was used to explain the results. The research results found positive support from digital literacy, perceived security, and perceived compatibility on mobile payment behavioral intention. However, only perceived compatibility can directly increase the use of mobile money. In line with the hypothesis test, behavioral intention can support increased mobile money use by digital payment users. The research findings explain the ability of behavioral intention to mediate support for digital literacy, perceived security, and perceived compatibility in mobile money use. © 2024 IEEE.

Parkinson's disease (PD) profoundly impacts millions in Sri Lanka, emphasizing the importance of early detection for better patient outcomes. We introduce “NeuraTrace PD,” an innovative application for early PD screening, combining brain MRI, hand-drawn image analysis, facial expression assessment, and voice analysis. For brain MRI analysis, we employed a Graph Convolutional Network (GCN), achieving an impressive accuracy of 91% and identifying distinct graph connectivity patterns using graph theory. We also use a deep Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to reach 90% accuracy in analyzing hand-drawn images, while optimizing image resolution for efficiency and information retention. Facial expression analysis is a vital component, leveraging CNN and Constrained Local Models (CLM) to accurately extract Facial Action Units (FAUs), which contribute to a remarkable 95% accuracy using the XGBoost machine learning model. We introduce a Machine Learning (ML) algorithm and advanced signal processing to enhance voice feature analysis, offering a thorough understanding and classification of PD patients. It reaches 99% accuracy. In summary, our approach holds significant promise for advancing early PD diagnosis, ultimately improving the quality of life for those affected by this challenging condition.

As the structure of knowledge graphs may vary over time, static knowledge graph completion methods do not deal with time-varying knowledge graphs. However, examining the paths between entities and entities' context information can lead to more accurate completion methods. This paper attempts to complete dynamic (time-varying) knowledge graphs by combining time-aware relational paths and relational context. The proposed model can improve dynamic knowledge graph completion methods by leveraging neural networks. Experimental results conducted on two standard datasets, ICEWS14 and ICEWS05-15, indicate our model's superiority in terms of Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR) and Hit@k over its well-known counterparts, such as DE-TransE and DE-DistMult.

PurposeThe impact of AI on healthcare is widely recognized there remains a scarcity of studies examining how doctors perceive and approach its use in medicine. This study aims to gather insights from healthcare providers in Jordan concerning the advantages of integrating AI into practices, their perspectives on AI applications in healthcare, and their views on the future role of AI in replacing key tasks within health *** survey was conducted among healthcare professionals working at facilities in Jordan. An online questionnaire was used to collect data on demographics, attitudes toward using AI for tasks, and opinions on the benefits of AI adoption. Categorical variables were presented as counts and percentages, while the continuous variables were interpreted as mean and standard deviation. The associations between the determinants and the outcomes were done using one-way ANOVA. Any test with a P-value 0.05 was considered *** total of 612 healthcare professionals participated in the survey with females comprising a majority of respondents (52.8%). The majority of respondents showed optimism about AI’s potential to improve and revolutionize the field, although there were concerns about AI replacing human roles. Generally, physical therapists, medical researchers, and pharmacists displayed openness to incorporating AI into their work routines. Younger individuals aged between 18 and 40 seemed accepting of AI in the domain. Recent breakthroughs in computer vision have led to the invention of several intelligent systems in different sectors. In transportation, this advancement led to the possibility of proposing autonomous vehicles. This recent technology relies heavily on wireless sensors and Deep learning. For an autonomous vehicle to navigate safely on highways, the vehicle needs equipment to aid with detecting road anomalies such as potholes ahead of time. The massive improvement in computer vision models such as Deep Convolutional Neural networks (DCNN) or vision transformers (ViT) resulted in many success stories and tremendous breakthroughs in object detection tasks;this enabled the use of such models in different application areas. But many of the reported results are theoretical and unrealistic in real-life. Usually, the nature of these models is extensive;they are trained on High-performance computers or cloud computing environments with GPUs, which challenge their usage on edge devices. However, to come up with a light model that can fit into embedded devices, the model size has to be reduced significantly so that the performance will not be affected. Therefore, this paper proposes a lightweight model of pothole detection for an embedded device. The model achieved a state-of-the-art accuracy of 98%, with the number of parameters reduced to more than 70% compared with a deep CNN model;the model can be trained and deployed on embedded devices such as smartphones efficiently. © 2022 The authors and IOS Press. The analysis of high-dimensional microarray gene expression data presents critical challenges, including excessive dimensionality, increased computational burden, and sensitivity to random initialization. Traditional optimization algorithms often produce inconsistent and suboptimal results, while failing to preserve local data structures limiting both predictive accuracy and biological interpretability. To address these limitations, this study proposes an adaptive neighborhood-preserving multi-objective particle swarm optimization (ANPMOPSO) framework for gene selection. ANPMOPSO introduces four key innovations: (1) a weighted neighborhood-preserving ensemble embedding (WNPEE) technique for dimensionality reduction that retains local structure;(2) Sobol sequence (SS) initialization to enhance population diversity and convergence stability;(3) a differential evolution (DE)-based adaptive velocity update to dynamically balance exploration and exploitation;and (4) a novel ranking strategy that combines Pareto dominance with neighborhood preservation quality to prioritize biologically meaningful gene subsets. Experimental evaluations on six benchmark microarray datasets and eleven multi-modal test functions (MMFs) demonstrate that ANPMOPSO consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods. For example, it achieves 100% classification accuracy on Leukemia and Small-Round-Blue-Cell Tumor (SRBCT) using only 3–5 genes, improving accuracy by 5–15% over competitors while reducing gene subsets by 40–60%. Additionally, on MMFs, ANPMOPSO attains superior hypervolume values (e.g., 1.0617 ± 0.2225 on MMF1, approximately 10–20% higher than competitors), confirming its robustness in balancing convergence and diversity. Although the method incurs higher training time due to its structural and adaptive components, it achieves a strong trade-off between computational cost and biological relevance, making it a promising tool for high-dimensional gene selection in bioinformatics. © 2025

Sentiment analysis is the method of identifying and classifying the views of users from text documents into different sentiments, such as positive, negative or neutral. Sentiment analysis can be employed to extract structured and informative knowledge from unstructured text pieces. This knowledge can serve as an important source of information for decision support systems and individual decision makers. Sentiment analysis plays an important role in many fields like education, where student input is crucial for assessing the effectiveness of educational institutions. In this paper, we present a machine learning based approach to sentiment analysis on students’ evaluation of higher educational institutions. We analyze a corpus containing approximately 700 student reviews written in Turkish, with the use of conventional text representation schemes and machine learning classifiers. In the experimental analysis, three conventional text representation schemes (i.e., term-presence, term-frequency, TF-IDF scheme) and three N-gram models (1-gram, 2-gram and 3-gram) have been considered in conjunction with four classifiers (i.e., support vector machines, Naïve Bayes, logistic regression, and random forest algorithm). The predictive performance of four ensemble learners (i.e., AdaBoost, Bagging and Random Subspace and voting algorithm) have been also evaluated. The main objective of this work was to find the association rules between factors affecting user satisfaction in software project by using an association rule discovery technique. Data from 191 software projects were collected and association rules between 15 Selected factors were discovered by FP-growth algorithm. Primarily, 281 association rules were discovered. Rules that were not directly related to user satisfaction were filtered out by simple criteria. In the end, 11 final association rules that passed those criteria were obtained with an average confidence value of 65.30%. These rules can incorporated in the planning and administration of a software project to gain utmost user satisfaction © 2021 IEEE.

Among various technologies being applied for indoor localization, WiFi has become a common source of information to determine the pedestrian’s position due to the widespread of WiFi access points in indoor environments. However, the fluctuation of the WiFi signals makes it difficult to achieve a good localization result. In this paper, to handle this problem, the valued tolerance rough set and decision rules method (VTRS-DR), which is firstly registered to WiFi fingerprinting-based localization, will be implemented and evaluated in big and complicated environments using two public datasets. The first one was conducted by a subject using a smartphone at a multi-floor library for several months. Furthermore, to evaluate the localization accuracy when WiFi data was collected from different pedestrians as well as different smartphones, a crowdsourced WiFi fingerprinting dataset was utilized. From the deep analyses of localization results, the VTRS-DR method shows high accuracy and high robustness when testing in different environments with a mean error of 3.84 m, which is 27.87% lower than other compared methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Frequency-aware Interaction Network for Ultrasound Image Segmentation

Accurate segmentation of medical ultrasound images is crucial for guiding treatment decisions and assessing intervention effectiveness. The challenge of segmenting lesions in ultrasound images arises from factors such as low contrast, high speckle noise, artifacts, and blurred boundaries. Furthermore, this complexity varies significantly among lesions in different cases. While methods based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Transformers have shown promising results in this field, each approach possesses distinct advantages and limitations. To address these challenges, we propose a novel Frequency-aware Interaction Network (FINet). At the core of our FINet lies the proposed Multi-scale Frequency-aware Self-attention (MFS) module, which effectively captures multi-scale feature information within the self-attention layer. This enables our network to model both local and global features, capitalizing on the strengths of both CNNs and Transformers. Additionally, a frequency-aware network is introduced to learn the interactions between spatial locations in the frequency domain to enhance detailed feature representation such as edges. Furthermore, we present a collaborative interactive decoder network, in which a Selective Feature Interaction (SFI) module is proposed to facilitate the semantic and boundary feature interaction, resulting in more precise segmentation outcomes. Experimental results on four medical ultrasound image datasets show the superiority of our FINet over other state-of-the-art segmentation methods. More importantly, our model achieves an excellent trade-off between performance and computational efficiency. © 1991-2012 IEEE.
