Human beings have gone through stages that have made significant contributions to their lives with technological developments. One of the most important of these close to the present day is the introduction of IoTs, and IIoTs into our lives with the industry 4.0 process. From smart homes to smart grids, we are faced with a world that is getting smarter in every aspect of our lives. In this cyber environment where our data, including our personal data, is transferred to the virtual environment, the biggest threat is the attacks that can be made on this existing environment. The biggest methods used by attackers are to exploit the vulnerabilities that the existing system brings in addition to the old vulnerabilities. With the IoT process, there have been very important developments, and all operations can be carried out remotely via mobile phone or computer, such as checking the missing needs in the refrigerator, washing, drying clothes, and even in the most advanced dimension, reducing the temperature if it is too high, or increasing it if it is low, without people coming to their homes, and with these renovations, new types of threads become part of our lives. With this study we focus on one of more dangerous part of these attacks, False Data Injection (FDI), and Men in the Middle (MitM) attacks. With this study we detected MitM, and FDI attacks with success rate of %95 percent.

The concept of Digital Twin has been widely used by researchers to represent physical entities in computer-generated reality in the metaverse. In this research, a novel concept of “Mobile Twin” is coined. Mobile Twin serves as a replica of a mobile device in the virtual environment enabling communication. The purpose of introducing Mobile Twin in the metaverse is to bring mobility and benefits similar to tangible mobile devices while eliminating the need for individual energy sources, storage limitations, resource usage, and efficiency. The true benefits of a mobile twin can be achieved with an architecture where computing nodes are decentralized, data processing is near the network's edge with faster response times and reduced latency. For this purpose, the mobile twin-based applications of metaverse are built over edge computing-based network architecture. This idea introduced the aspect of “Revolutionary Ultra-low latency (RULL)” in the metaverse.

Advances in Virtual Reality (VR) technology have redefined sports training, offering a new modality for athletes to prepare for competitions. This paper explores the coaching strategies used to train novice table tennis players in VR. Through interviews with the coach and participant feedback, we identified key strategies such as personalized feedback, table division, and a structured training regimen for skill development in VR. Challenges include limited facial awareness and the absence of virtual cheering, which impacted the coach’s ability to engage fully with participants. These findings offer valuable insights into coaching strategies in VR environments, contributing to developing more effective and engaging VR training systems. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Computational thinking is the systematic approach of defining a problem and crafting its solution. It employs computer programming algorithms to address scientific, engineering, and mathematical challenges using programming languages. Feedback plays a pivotal role in the learning journey of computational thinking. It is widely recognized that offering timely feedback to students on their computational endeavors significantly contributes to their achievement and overall satisfaction with the course. This research explores the implementation of an automated feedback system designed to evaluate and offer early feedback on computer engineering projects. The aim is to integrate best practices and software tools related to computational thinking into the thinking and learning processes within an engineering curriculum. Preliminary findings suggest that the automated feedback system enhances students' computational skills and improves their performance in the course. We anticipate that the insights gained from this research will inform the enhancement of curricula and course evaluations across different computational thinking tasks, disciplines, and courses.

This paper studies the trans formative role of Reinforcement Learning for Requirements engineering in the context of software development. The integration of Reinforcement Learning, with its adaptive decision-making capabilities, and Requirements engineering, focused on systematic requirement analysis, offers a promising interaction to address challenges in dynamic project environments. The paper discusses the potential benefits, including adaptive decision-making, optimization in uncertainty, and intelligent requirement prioritization. However, challenges such as complexity, interpretability, data availability, resource intensiveness, and ethical concerns are identified. Recent advances in DeepFake face-swapping technology have made it simple to create fake videos that appear remarkably real. Since it has been employed in numerous instances for deceit, extortion, and the falsification of facts, its widespread use has generated a huge social, security, and political risk. Its use on websites and social media has become more widespread. Detecting this crime is becoming more and more important due to the potential harm false videos may inflict on a global scale. This research offers a method for building a deep learning model that really can tell the difference between authentic and false videos. The article describes how to create new models based on the VGG16 neural network, a previously created neural network that does image categorization, using transfer learning in the computer vision field. Deep learning is still becoming better at both producing and spotting DeepFakes. DeepFake detection algorithms are developed using dated public datasets, and as a result, they may become obsolete with time. and require continual updating. The research findings are encouraging, and our results reached an accuracy rate of over 90%. © 2023 IEEE.

Limited quantum advantage for stellar interferometry via continuous-variable teleportation

We consider stellar interferometry in the continuous-variable (CV) quantum information formalism and use the quantum Fisher information (QFI) to characterize the performance of three key strategies: direct interferometry (DI), local heterodyne measurement, and a CV teleportation-based strategy. In the lossless regime, we show that a squeezing parameter of r≈2 (18 dB) is required to reach ∼95% of the QFI achievable with DI; such a squeezing level is beyond what has been achieved experimentally. In the low-loss regime, the CV teleportation strategy becomes inferior to DI, and the performance gap widens as loss increases. Curiously, in the high-loss regime, a small region of loss exists where the CV teleportation strategy slightly outperforms both DI and local heterodyne, representing a transition in the optimal strategy. We describe this advantage as limited because it occurs for a small region of loss, and the magnitude of the advantage is also small. We argue that practical difficulties further impede achieving any quantum advantage, limiting the merits of a CV teleportation-based strategy for stellar interferometry.

How to accurately predict the Dow Jones index is an important issue in quantitative finance. This paper designs an LSTM-AdaBoost(Long Short-Term Memory and Adaptive Boosting) prediction model based on the Dow Jones index's characteristics. The AdaBoost algorithm was used to integrate multiple LSTM weak classifiers. By iteratively updating the weights of each version and combining the strategy, the improved robust classifier was formed, and the prediction for the Dow Jones index was finally obtained. Experimental results have shown that the prediction results obtained by the LSTM-AdaBoost model have been significantly higher than those of the traditional classification model, with an average increase of 43.76 percent in R_square. The establishment of this model provides a theoretical basis for predicting the Dow Jones index and provides ideas for the intersection of finance and computer industries. © 2021 IEEE.

Sorting and searching are critical processes for effecttive data analysis. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of various sorting and searching algorithms and compare their time and space complexities on both sorted and unsorted data. The algorithms we analyzed include six common sorting algorithms (insertion, radix, bucket, merge, bubble, and quick sort) and three search algorithms (linear, binary, and jump search). The results of our study provide insights into the best algorithms to use for different input sizes and types of data. It was found that for small input sizes, all algorithms perform similarly, but for larger input sizes, insertion and radix sorts are better for time complexity while bubble sort is better for space complexity. Additionally, jump search outperformed linear and binary search algorithms in both time and space complexity. Besides, difference between time and space complexity of sorted and unsorted data was significant.

In the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), the task of text summarization plays a vital role in understanding textual content and producing concise summaries. Text summarization approaches can be categorized as either extractive or abstractive, with the latter largely unexplored in the Arabic script languages. Previous research on abstractive summarization for the Urdu language has progressed in creating logical and succinct summaries but has failed to preserve the underlying semantics, often resulting in inconsistent and ambiguous outputs. This study focuses on designing and implementing an abstractive text summarization model for the Urdu language by achieving the semantic meaning of the original text. The proposed model improves readability and comprehension by generating concise and meaningful overviews of original content while introducing new words and expressions. The study implements a multi-layer transformer encoder as part of the mBART (Multilingual BART) model. The encoder consists of multiple stacked transformer layers. It utilizes self-attention mechanisms to process and understand the input sequences effectively, achieving a BERTScore of 90%, a BLEU score of 43%, and ROUGE scores of 80.3% for ROUGE-1, 74.3% for ROUGE-2, and 80.3% for ROUGE-L. These results demonstrate the efficacy of the model in producing coherent and high-quality abstractive summaries for the Urdu language. © 2013 IEEE.
