Feature extraction from histological images is a challenging part of computer-aided detection of breast cancer. For this research, we present a novel technique for deep feature extraction for breast cancer diagnosis subtypes based on a transfer learning approach using the BreaKhis dataset. This approach consists of five phases: feature extraction, concatenation, transformation, selection, and classification. In the first phase, nineteen pre-trained convolutional neural networks were used as feature extractors to extract features from the input images. A Support Vector Machine was used at the feature extraction phase to calculate the misclassification rate of each feature generated by the pre-trained networks used. The feature extraction results showed that the two networks achieved the highest accuracy on the dataset and outperformed the other networks. The two networks considered were selected and connected to create the DRNet model, combining the pre-trained networks ResNet50 and DenseNet201. The extracted features were decomposed into five sub-hand low-level features using a multilevel discrete wavelet transform in the transformation phase. An iterative neighborhood component analyzer was used to select the minimum number of features needed in the classification phase. A cubic support vector machine was used as a classifier in the final phase. Average classification accuracy of 98.61%, 98.04%, 97.68%, and 97.71% for the 40×, 100×, 200×, and 400× magnification levels, respectively, was achieved.

With the growing intelligence and personalization of consumer electronic products, extracting effective information has become a key challenge in Consumer Electronics (CE). Triadic Concept Analysis (TCA), an important extension of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), is widely applied but often struggles to handle the hesitant fuzzy characteristics in real-world data. To address this gap, we propose a Triadic Hesitant Fuzzy Concept (THFC) model. First, we introduce the concept of a triadic hesitant fuzzy background, integrating the fuzzy and hesitant nature of data in the CE environment. We propose a knowledge acquisition method based on THFC, which constructs a multi-granularity knowledge space with a dynamic adjustment mechanism. This method captures subtle distinctions between different types of information and their hierarchical structures in the context of CE, offering significant support for knowledge discovery and decision-making in complex environments. Building on this, we design a variable-precision hybrid similarity measurement (VP-HSM) method to extract core, adjunct, and edge concepts, thus providing more precise and structured knowledge for data analysis and decision-making in CE. Experimental results on publicly available datasets show that the proposed method significantly improves classification accuracy and stability, effectively handling hesitant fuzzy data and improving the accuracy of concept extraction. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Project Risk management is the process of identifying, evaluating, avoiding, or reducing risks. Where there is no software project without risks existence are natural in the context of project planning and management. This study focuses on proposing an enhanced risk management approach where testing phases were added to make the risk management process more effective by proposing solutions to many mistakes and challenges that occur through dealing with risks. The proposed approach focuses on dealing with risks that cannot be easily defined, more accurate risk evaluation, planning, and managing risk coordinated with a contingency plan.

Due to the rapid development of image data and the necessity to analyze it to extract meaningful information, heterogeneous systems have gained prominence. One of the most critical aspects of distributed systems is load balancing. When it comes to the distribution of workload in a balanced manner in a cluster, some heterogeneous systems are used for image processing. When workloads are allocated in these systems, the computational power of the processors is not considered. As a result, in these heterogeneous systems for image processing applications, an uneven workload distribution issue is found. A workload distribution programming framework is presented and discussed in this paper. The proposed strategy consists of two parts. As a first step, image data is split into optimal split sizes and distributed across nodes, then the image data is distributed across CPU and GPU in a second step for processing. A heterogeneous environment is created by combining the CPU and GPU. The OpenCL Java bindings are used to set up both the CPU and GPU to run the program. To assess the performance of the suggested technique, certain tests are carried out and compared to current platforms. For image processing applications in heterogeneous clusters, the proposed workload distribution approach distributed image data efficiently. The results of the proposed solution (Hadoop + GPU) show that using an effective workload allocation mechanism in heterogeneous systems reduces average execution time while improving overall application performance. © 2023 Najia Naz et al.

This Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), facilitates the medical stop regarding real-time monitoring of patients, medical emergency management, remote surgery, patient information management, medical equipment, drug monitoring, etc. However, IoMT devices communicate with each other in an open environment that makes them vulnerable to a wide range of malicious threats from malicious entities. To protect the devices and their associated data, we designed a broadcast authentication scheme for IoMT devices using identity-based public key cryptography that exploits the lightweight features of the Hyper-Elliptic Curve (HEC). We then performed the security analysis based on the Random Oracle Model (ROM), in which we have proved that the proposed scheme is unforgeable under the hardiness of the hyperelliptic curve discrete logarithm problem. The proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of computational and communication overhead and the experimental results justify the superiority of the proposed work in comparison to the existing schemes.

A forensic autopsy is a surgical process in which experts collect a deceased body's internal and external information. These death certificates are the source of timely warnings of an increase in disease activity. It's only helpful if accurate and quantitative data is available. Therefore, the Classification of plain text medical autopsy reports reduces the time consumption and irregularities. The motive is to design an automatic text classification system that classifies plain text autopsy reports. Therefore, a methodology proposes using different Automatic Text Classification Techniques (ATC). This technique has embedded Feature Extraction, Feature Representation, and Feature Reduction techniques. These techniques use for the construction of classification models that classify the text of autopsy reports. Data sets collected from these types will be helpful in future experiments. Finally, the performance of the classifier measures by using different Evaluation parameters. These Evaluation Measures are Precision, Recall, Accuracy, and F-measure. © 2022 IEEE.

Requirements change throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement elicitation and analysis to software operation. software requirements can be traced back to their source and shown to depend on one another. According to studies, the tools and techniques for the present traceability methodologies need to be revised to prevent the practical application of traceability. We analyzed evaluation techniques and requirements traceability tools in this article to determine whether evaluation techniques are truly being used and supported by software tools. As a result, we noted no connection between the approaches and tools examined and that some criteria, such as stakeholder communication, difficulty of tools, and requirement stability, needed to be better considered in the evaluated tools.

In the 1950’s, Ford and Fulkerson introduced dynamic flows by incorporating the notion of time into the network flow model (Oper. Res., 1958). In this paper, motivated by real-world applications including route planning and evacuations, we extend the framework of multi-commodity dynamic flows to the heterogeneous commodity setting by allowing different transit times for different commodities along the same edge. We first show how to construct the time-expanded networks, a classical technique in dynamic flows, in the heterogeneous setting. Based on this construction, we give a pseudopolynomial-time algorithm for the quickest flow problem when there are two heterogeneous commodities. We then present a fully polynomial-time approximation scheme when the nodes have storage for any number of heterogeneous commodities. The algorithm is based on the condensed time-expanded network technique introduced by Fleischer and Skutella (SIAM J. Comput., 2007). © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The agriculture industry is one of the most significant sources of foreign exchange and employment in the Sri Lankan market. Therefore, small crops play a crucial role in ensuring the food security of the population as they are integral components of Sri Lankan cuisine. However, industry experts have identified inefficient disease and pest management as a hindrance to production. This issue requires immediate attention and proper action, which can be effectively addressed through the utilization of ICT technologies. Consequently, this research paper proposes a smart system that aims to assist farmers and agriculture professionals by providing them with farmer education, disease and infestation management tools, as well as progression level calculations. The implementation of this system aims to uplift the agriculture industry in Sri Lanka. The developed ‘AI-based mobile application system for Brinjal Diseases,’ which is based on analyzing the eating patterns of leafhopper damage, presents an innovative approach to identify the most significant threats to Brinjal, specifically focusing on leafhopper damage. This proposed system effectively informs various stakeholders, including the Area Agricultural Research Officer, Seed Certification and Plant Protection Center (SCPPC), Agricultural Service Center, Office of the Register of Pesticides (ROP), Plant Protection Service (PPS), as well as farmers, regarding the dispersion and prevention of brinjal diseases and pest infections.
