The coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) has devastated the entire globe in a short period of time and was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11th, 2020. It rapidly increased in fatality rate and has become an international public health crisis, culminating in social and economic calamity. However, mobile applications are being introduced globally to minimize the coronavirus's continuous spread by tracing people's circulation or mobility using digital software and smartphones. There is no digitally equipped tool that monitors the movement of the people, particularly in the public places. This work on Smarter Movement Control Application (SMCApp) aims to develop methods that will assist Malaysian people to move around with the aid of mobile tracing application. Therefore, the SMCApp was designed and developed as a mobile application software which stands to improve compliance with the mandated SOP measures across the country, as well as to provide digital support to those who wish to travel to various parts of the country. As a result, it is concluded that the usage of Smarter Movement Control Application (SMCApp) is hoped to bring about safe and effective movement of people throughout these two regions, as it will constantly alert individuals of any suspicious close-contact or the state of the location. Once the application is in effect, with at least 90% of users installing the App on their smartphones, it is projected to increase tranquility and elevate compliance with SOP measures. © 2022 IEEE.

software development companies commonly use Global software Development (GSD) in their industry. A competent Scrum team supports the success of the GSD project. This research aims to identify the game components in the form of types, elements, and technologies that contribute to building experience for the Scrum team in a GSD environment. We used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the Kitchenham and snowball method. From the 12 papers, we concluded that none of the games specifically focused on the competence of the Scrum team at GSD. The SLR results also identify ten game elements and technologies as a reference for game development to meet the challenges in GSD. The conclusion is that there are still great opportunities to develop a game that can improve the competence of the GSD Scrum team. Game development should refer to elements and identified technologies.

Adversarial domain adaptation has achieved impressive performances for unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA). However, existing adversarial UDA methods often rely on multiple domain discriminators to capture diverse patterns, which limit their scalability and resulting in dispersed features. To address these issues, we propose a novel method called Class-aware Prototypical Adversarial Network (CaPAN), which efficiently extracts transferable and discriminative features. Specifically, our class-aware adversarial learning employs a single multi-class discriminator to capture various patterns, aligning class-level features. Furthermore, to enhance the discriminative ability of our model, we introduce a prototypical domain discriminator to enhance the discriminatively of the learned features by aligning target sample towards prototypes (centers of each class), resulting in a more compact feature space. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness of CaPAN, which can also be integrated as a regularization technique for existing methods to further improve their performance. Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common cause of hair loss affecting both men and women. Although its precise etiology remains uncertain, genetic and hormonal factors are recognized as major contributors. This study introduces a computational intelligence framework employing fuzzy logic and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) to simulate a robust triage system for AGA management. Using a simulated dataset of 100 AGA patients, we applied the fuzzy-weighted zero-inconsistency (FWZIC) method to assign weights to 11 bioactive criteria associated with AGA. These weights informed a novel triage procedure for alopecia patients (TPAP), which stratified patients into seven severity levels (level 1: minor; level 7: severe). This study presents a computationally intelligent triage model tailored for AGA, emphasizing the applicability of fuzzy MCDM techniques in medical decision support. The TPAP framework can assist in resource allocation and treatment planning, paving the way for personalized and timely interventions in hair loss management.

Due to the significant ongoing expansion of computer networks in our lives nowadays, the demand for network security and protection from cyber-attacks has never been more imperative to either clients or businesses alike, which signifies the key role of cyber intrusion detection systems in network security. This article proposes a cyber-intrusion detecting system classification with MLP trained by a hybrid metaheuristic algorithm and feature selection based on multi-objective wrapper method. The classifier, named as HADMLP is trained using a hybridization of the artificial bee colony along with the dragonfly algorithm. A multi-objective artificial bee colony model which is wrapper-based is used for selection of feature. Hence, collective name of the proposed technique referred as MO-HADMLP. For performance evaluation, the proposed method was assessed using ISCX 2012 and KDD CUP 99 datasets. The results of our experiments indicate a significant enhancement to the efficacy of network intrusion detection when compared to other approaches. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

AlphaStar, a multi-agent intelligence program, is a new member of Alpha's gamer software. Rated at Grandmaster level in the empirical evaluation shows that AlphaStar has been a great success in engineering, which is another milestone in AI history. After a brief introduction to AlphaStar, we discussed its computational architecture, league training, PFSP, and proposed an interesting topic direction on the basis of our suggestions, which was how to combine the capacities of diverse ANNs that successful completed learning. Additionally, we proposed the viewpoint that is big data - space, intelligence - man' world, parallel computing - time. © 2021 IEEE.

Fine mapping of retrogressive thaw slumps (RTSs) holds paramount significance in the study of permafrost degradation and carbon exchange. We propose a lightweight and enhanced semantic segmentation network (LessNet) for automatically mapping the RTSs from Sentinel-2 images. LessNet is constructed on the encoder-decoder framework with innovative incorporation of attention mechanism and dual-level semantic features fusion. The lightweight architecture of LessNet eliminates the need for pre-training, and the network hyperparameters are automatically updated based on the training dataset, which allows for fast convergence of supervised learning. Experiments conducted in the Beiluhe region of the Tibetan Plateau highlight the robustness and competitive performance of the model.

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users’ feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users’ preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly.

Dephasing is a main noise mechanism that afflicts quantum information, it reduces visibility, and destroys coherence and entanglement. Therefore, it must be reduced, mitigated, and, if possible, corrected to allow for demonstration of quantum advantage in any application of quantum technology, from computing to sensing and communications. Here we discuss a hardware scheme of error filtration to mitigate the effects of dephasing in optical quantum metrology. The scheme uses only passive linear optics and ancillary vacuum modes, without need of single-photon sources or entanglement. It exploits constructive and destructive interference to partially cancel the detrimental effects of statistically independent sources of dephasing. We apply this scheme to preserve coherent states and to phase stabilize stellar interferometry, showing that a significant improvement can be obtained by using only a few ancillary modes.
