Action detection aims to determine the temporal boundaries during which actions occur in untrimmed videos. In the real world, each moment in a video can involve multiple actions, making it challenging to detect and label actions accurately. In recent years, the effective interaction of relationships between short-term and long-term information contributes an important step forward for the efficient extraction of significant factors in temporal information. However, one aspect has not been highlighted in previous studies but it can include useful context information. The aspect is the use of features related to the region of interest (RoI - Region of Interest). Adding information about regions containing major interactions, as in the case of using the RoI feature by humans, can help focus the model on the most important parts of the temporal data. This is especially useful in dealing with complex situations and helps predict action more exactly. However, when applying the RoI features, there will be a challenge that some frames in the video may be missed. This can lead to the loss of important information and affect predictability. In this work, we propose a Context Normalization Module to address this problem. In summary, in this work, we have three main contributions: Proposing an enhanced framework that combines spatial-temporal information and context information, applying the RoI feature (specifically, human feature) as the context information to the model to improve the performance of the model, and applying KNN to handle information loss in extracting RoI information. © 2023 ACM.

XML and semi-structured data have been widely and significantly used as a standard for representing and exchanging data. Generally, they are modeled as a labeled directed graph. With a given path expression, it is desirable to choose nodes or node-sets fast and efficiently. To serve this purpose, the A(k)-index created a graph index based on the concept of bisimilarity. The naive approach of the A(k)-index that requires an exhaustive scan method for all partitions takes an expensive index construction cost. In this paper, we propose the New ImpIndexa new approach of index construction to reduce time by marking method. This technique marks the significant couple of partitions in scan work, then traverses only on these partitions and ignores the others for the next iterations. A salient property of the New ImpIndex is still stable with the big database and the large value of k. Moreover, we associate this approach with our previously proposed one: the Old ImpIndex to create the Asso ImpIndex for achieving higher performance. We experimentally demonstrate that our proposed algorithms: New ImpIndex and Asso ImpIndex show more advantages than the existing approach. © 2022 IEEE.

It is quite common for medical drugs and prescriptions to be misidentified by hospitals and after drugs are being dispensed to the patients. Misidentification of medical drugs is more common among elderly and visually impaired patients. In hospital organizations, the leading medical error is adverse drug events. Another most common issue patients face is keeping track of medical lab reports. Our proposed mobile medical assistant system uses image processing to identify drugs with or without packaging, identifying prescription and medical lab reports. Furthermore, the mobile application will identify the trends of medical lab reports and predict next month's results of the medical lab report of the patient using machine learning. © 2022 IEEE.

This research was conducted to develop a mobile application that provides expert solutions for the common problems faced by rubber planters in Sri Lanka. The application developed consists of four components, namely, identification of pests in immature rubber plantations and rubber nurseries;leaf disease identification;cover crop identification;and weed identification. Images taken using the mobile phone cameras are recognized using machine learning models developed using several convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures such as mobile net version 2 (MobileNet v2), VGG 16, VGG19, and residual networks (ResNet). After the images were recognized, the application will provide expert solutions and management strategies to the rubber planters. As most of the rubber plantations are located in areas with low network coverage, the application was designed to be operated in offline mode using TensorFlow lite technology. © 2022 IEEE.

Ohrid trout(Salamo letnica)is an endemic species of fish found in Lake Ohrid in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia(FYROM).The growth of Ohrid trout was examined in a controlled environment for a certain period,thereafter released into the lake to grow their natural *** external features of the fish were measured regularly during the cultivation period in the laboratory to monitor their *** data mining methods-based computational model can be used for fast,accurate,reliable,automatic,and improved growth monitoring procedures and classification of Ohrid *** this motivation,a combined approach of principal component analysis(PCA)and support vectormachine(SVM)has been implemented for the visual discrimination and quantitative classification of Ohrid trout of the experimental and natural breeding and their growth *** PCA results in better discrimination of breeding categories of Ohrid trout at different development phases while the maximum classification accuracy of 98.33% was achieved using the combination of PCA and *** classification performance of the combination of PCA and SVM has been compared to combinations of PCA and other classification methods(multilayer perceptron,naive Bayes,randomcommittee,decision stump,random forest,and random tree).Besides,the classification accuracy of multilayer perceptron using the original features has been studied.

The rapid growth and widespread adoption of containerization technologies, such as Docker, and the increasing popularity of Kubernetes as a container orchestration platform have significantly shaped the landscape of modern software development and deployment. Containers have created a paradigm shift in application packaging, offering a consistent and portable environment across diverse infrastructure setups. Meanwhile, Kubernetes has emerged as the dominant choice for managing containerized applications at scale, providing features such as automated scaling, load balancing, and fault tolerance. However, despite the numerous advantages containers and Kubernetes offer, deploying applications to a Kubernetes cluster often poses challenges due to the steep learning curve and complex configuration requirements. To address these challenges, this paper aims to introduce a comprehensive learning tool that automates and simplifies the deployment process on Kubernetes clusters. © 2023 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users' feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users' preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly. © 2022 IEEE.

This research paper focuses on increasing the awareness between taxi users and can help to protect themselves in COVID-19 and take precautions. Since 2019 the global pandemic of Covid-19 is spreading at an astonishing rate and causes a negative impact for economic, social, and cultural factors. Government agencies are warning people to reduce the transportation and to maintain social distance. To stop the spread of COVID-19 required to identify persons who are susceptible to infection and need to trace the COVID-19 positive first contacts. Most people are reduced to using public transportations and taxi services due to unidentifiable health conditions in earlier users. The proposed approach can be used to track the taxi drivers and their passengers previous COVID-19 status as well as navigate the safest route by showing the COVID-19 contamination areas. By using this approach users can be aware of earlier users of the taxi service and COVID-19 status of the taxi driver or passenger before taking the trip as well as if they get touch with any COVID-19 patients, can take immediate precautions. This application helps to increase the usage of taxis by making users trust and confidence against COVID-19 infection. By testing with real users our system was able to trace down 45 passengers and 16 drivers within 3 months. © 2022 IEEE.

Social media is a crucial aspect of modern society, shaping global communication and information exchange. Social media slang encompasses informal language expressions, abbreviations, and unconventional words on these platforms, serving purposes such as concise communication and identity establishment. Data analytics from social media slang plays a vital role in providing real-time trends, enhancing sentiment analysis, and improving the accuracy of predictive models by capturing evolving linguistic trends. This study aims to address gaps in existing social media slang analytics by proposing a three-step process for extracting and validating domain-specific social media slang terms, specifically focusing on the domain of anxiety prediction in the context of mental health. The proposed approach involves the identification of relevant users, extraction of social media slang terms, and validation by subject matter experts. A pilot study is conducted in the domain of anxiety prediction, employing a self-prepared questionnaire and involving participants aged 13-14 from schools in Selangor, Malaysia. The pilot study identifies ten social media slang terms associated with anxiety, validated by subject matter experts who are licensed mental health practitioners. The slang terms exhibit varying prevalence levels among adolescents, with some terms absent from popular slang dictionaries like Urban Dictionary. The findings highlight the need for extracting slang terms from pertinent users and subject matter expert validation in incorporating social media slang into more appropriate predictive analytics. © 2024 IEEE.

Tomato leaf diseases significantly impact crop production,necessitating early detection for sustainable *** Learning(DL)has recently shown excellent results in identifying and classifying tomato leaf ***,current DL methods often require substantial computational resources,hindering their application on resource-constrained *** propose the Deep Tomato Detection Network(DTomatoDNet),a lightweight DL-based framework comprising 19 learnable layers for efficient tomato leaf disease classification to overcome *** Convn kernels used in the proposed(DTomatoDNet)framework is 1×1,which reduces the number of parameters and helps in more detailed and descriptive feature extraction for *** proposed DTomatoDNet model is trained from scratch to determine the classification success rate.10,000 tomato leaf images(1000 images per class)from the publicly accessible dataset,covering one healthy category and nine disease categories,are utilized in training the proposed DTomatoDNet *** specifically,we classified tomato leaf images into Target Spot(TS),Early Blight(EB),Late Blight(LB),Bacterial Spot(BS),Leaf Mold(LM),Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus(YLCV),Septoria Leaf Spot(SLS),Spider Mites(SM),Tomato Mosaic Virus(MV),and Tomato Healthy(H).The proposed DTomatoDNet approach obtains a classification accuracy of 99.34%,demonstrating excellent accuracy in differentiating between tomato *** model could be used on mobile platforms because it is lightweight and designed with fewer *** farmers can utilize the proposed DTomatoDNet methodology to detect disease more quickly and easily once it has been integrated into mobile platforms by developing a mobile application.
