Nowadays, smartphones became an integral part of human life due to the great necessity for their daily activities. Most smartphone users are downloading and installing mobile apps without worrying about security. Therefore, smartphones are a winning goal for malware, mainly with Android devices. So, it was necessary to provide an intelligent model for detecting malware applications before installing them on android smartphones. In this paper, an intelligent model using machine learning algorithms is proposed for detecting the malware applications in smartphones based on the static malware analysis technique. The contents of an android application features are analyzed, such as permissions, intents, system commands, and API-calls that were extracted from the application manifest file and source code. The proposed model is applied on two separate datasets DREBIN and MALGENOME. The experimental results are compared with some other similar researches, and their results were analyzed. The results indicate that the performance of the proposed model outperforms other similar models for some selected classifiers and can reliably detect both malware and benign Android applications with high accuracy. © 2021 IEEE.

Educational teaching apps are primarily available in app stores to educate students in various contexts. Lack of educational resources, physical and mental health conditions, and poverty cause some students to skip school and move on to the next school grade without completing the course content of the previous grade. Most of the available apps focus on specific content to cover. The Smart Primary Education Tutor (SPET) teaching app specifically focuses on the missed content by analyzing their knowledge gap and providing lessons to cover the missed content. The main objective of SPET is to develop a methodology to identify the gap in student knowledge and fill the knowledge gap by teaching using smart techniques. SPET is determined to identify students’ interactions (attention, emotions) with the system to identify students’ ability to use the learning tool, identifying gaps in students’ knowledge levels compared to their actual grades using activities and voice-based technologies, teaching to cover the knowledge gap by providing engaging activities and lessons and evaluating students by conducting a final assessment and analyze students’ knowledge and performance obtained through the system. Students between the ages of 5 and 8 are targeted in the community to apply. The solution embeds deep learning-based models including attention classification models using head posture estimation, facial expression recognition, and eye gaze estimation, speech recognition models to identify provided verbal answers, handwriting recognition models to evaluate student performance, and smart teaching. The child emotion recognition model achieved 93% accuracy. The Attention span evaluation model achieved 85% accuracy. The handwritten numerical and English character data recognition model which detects answers for the final assessment paper achieved 85% percent of accuracy.

The need for software improvement is growing widely due to the demand for technology development. The issues that arise by expanding the software processes in the workplace are expense, lack of understanding, time constrained, and lack user experience. This research paper focuses on proposing a framework for integrating design thinking into software process improvement. The secret to project success may lie in fusing methodological and reusable approaches with human-centric techniques. A mixed-methods research strategy is proposed to compile thorough information and reach conclusions. In addition, it incorporates components of both qualitative and quantitative research (secondary research and descriptive analysis). The assumption is that the existing model significantly affects the user satisfaction variable. This indicates a statistically significant association between the individual's experience (number of years) and design thinking integration into the software process improvement. The variables in the proposed model and the dependent variable user satisfaction accounts for 6.1 © 2024 IEEE.

The COVID-19 pandemic has expedited the shift in education to online learning, which has exposed shortcomings in virtual learning environments' personalization and engagement. This research addresses these issues by developing a web application designed to enhance student engagement and learning efficiency. The system has gamified collaboration features, video chapter segmentation, and personalized video recommendation system. The methodology comprises models for generating chapter titles and for precise video transcription, and machine learning algorithms for tailored suggestions depending on user input. Interactive Questions and Answers modules and real-time synchronized video playback are included. The results demonstrate how the system's personalized content, interactive tests, and teamwork tools increase user engagement and comprehension. The efficacy of personalized material and real-time synchronization in enhancing learning results is discussed. This innovative approach offers a comprehensive solution to the challenges of online education, creating a more immersive and interactive learning experience.

Model Predictive Control (MPC) has been very successful in the control industries due to its ability to handle uncertainty in physical systems with some constraints. Due to its higher power density, DC servomechanism is used in control systems of several industrial applications. However, the DC servomechanisms suffer severe throttling loss, leading to low effectiveness, and the uncertainty parameters and distortions caused by the changing system environment harm their performance. In this paper, a Robust Integral MPC (RIMPC) model is designed to enhance the efficiency of the DC servomechanism control system. Uncertainties and nonlinearity of the parameters are taken into consideration. In RIMPC, MPC is incorporated into the integral controller synthesis through an optimization problem subjected to some Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) constraints to generate the control law of the servomechanism dynamics. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated in two cases: with no disturbances and when disturbances are affecting the system. The obtained results are analyzed and compared with other controllers' design, such as Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller and the Monte Carlo (MC) controller. The obtained results prove that the proposed system is more effective in cost function and transient performance (rise time, peak time, maximum overshoot, and settling-time), indicating a much better reference tracking accuracy and proposed method robustness. © 2021 IEEE.

One of the most significant phases of software development is software testing, because of its value in identifying mistakes and gaps in the early stages of program development. In the past, software testing was done manually, and this is a tiring and inaccurate process that carries with it errors and gaps and requires time, effort, and money. At present, testers tend to perform the testing process automatically, to save time, effort, and money, and to obtain accurate results. However, there are few research works on the aspect of generating test cases from requirements specification especially generate test cases from use case description. An Approach to Generate Test Cases from Use Case description is proposed in this paper that consists of several processes. The input is the use case description of the use case diagram, which is being used as a basis for the approach. In the next step, each software summary of UML use cases is utilized to extract the necessary information for the development of the control flow graph and NLP table. A control flow graph and NLP table will be generated based on a specific algorithm after that generate test paths based on a specific algorithm. Then, the test cases will be generated from the test paths and NLP table. The proposed approach will enhance the process of generation of test cases and increase the accuracy and efficiency. © 2021 IEEE.

Requirements elicitation, also known as requirements gathering, refers to the process of researching and discovering the necessary requirements for a system or software prior to development. This is typically accomplished through deep consultations with users, customers, and other stakeholders involved in the project. However, this process can be challenging in software development, as it is difficult to ensure that all necessary requirements are obtained simply by asking users what the system should or should not do. As a result, requirement elicitation has become a complex and risky phase of the requirement engineering process. In the context of global software development (GSD), requirement elicitation becomes even more difficult. This has been a topic of extensive research over the past decade, with a focus on identifying effective methods for analyzing and identifying evidence-based results related to requirement elicitation models. In this study, we conducted a systematic literature review (SLR) to achieve two main objectives: first, to analyze existing systematic reviews and identify evidence-based results related to requirement elicitation in GSD;and second, to identify proposed requirement elicitation models and evaluate their efficacy. The use of systematic reviews is an advanced methodology that comprehensively covers this field, and can be applied in the proposed scenario. Existing literature contains numerous elicitation models that fulfill different development artifacts, but our results indicate that the evidence is insufficient in quantity and immature. We require full evidence from all perspectives to make actionable and context-sensitive decisions that evaluate solutions with novelty from the existing literature. The quality of systematic reviews is superior to other existing methods in terms of searching, study selection, and data presentation. Time-series satellite remote sensing reveals gradually increasing war damage in the Gaza Strip

War-related urban destruction is a significant global concern, impacting national security, social stability,people's survival and economic development. The effects of urban geomorphology and complex geological contexts during conflicts, characterized by different levels of structural damage, are not yet fully understood globally. Here we report how integrating deep learning with data from the independently developed Luo Jia3-01 satellite enables near real-time detection of explosions and assessment of different building damage levels in the Israel–Palestine conflict. We found that the damage continually increased from 17 October 2023 to 2 March 2024. We found 3747 missile craters with precision positions and sizes, and timing on vital infrastructure across five governorates in the Gaza Strip on 2 March 2024, providing accurate estimates of potential unexploded ordnance locations and assisting in demining and chemical decontamination. Our findings reveal a significant increase in damage to residential and educational structures, accounting for 58.4% of the total—15.4% destroyed, 18.7% severely damaged, 11.8% moderately damaged and 12.5% slightly damaged—which exacerbates the housing crisis and potential population displacement. Additionally, there is a 34.1% decline in the cultivated area of agricultural land, posing a risk to food security. The Luo Jia3-01 satellite data are crucial for impartial conflict monitoring, and our innovative methodology offers a cost-effective, scalable approach to assess future conflicts in various global *** first-time findings highlight the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further damage and support the release of hostages and subsequent reconstruction efforts.

With the advent of 5G and 6G technologies and the growing ubiquity of the Internet, the Mobile Agent (MA) paradigm is increasingly seen as a promising alternative to the conventional client-server model. MAs, which are software entities capable of moving and processing data across different systems, offer potential efficiencies in data management. However, their operation in dynamic and mobile environments can lead to challenges, such as incomplete or delayed tasks. This study addresses these issues by focusing on reducing the relocation time of MAs. A numerical procedure and a streamlining strategy were developed to expedite the transfer of an agent from the source to the target hub. Utilizing the itinerary design pattern and the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm, implemented via the Java Agent Development Framework (JADE), this study sought the most efficient path for the MA. The proposed algorithm demonstrated a significant improvement, selecting the optimal path in just 271.511 seconds. This performance represents a substantial enhancement over previous approaches using the master-slave design pattern with either the Genetic Algorithm (GA) or the Node Compression Algorithm (NCA). The implications of this improvement are far-reaching, potentially enhancing the efficiency and reliability of data management systems in a variety of applications. © 2025 by the authors of this article.
