Static Analysis Techniques for Fixing software Defects in MPI-Based Parallel Programs

The Message Passing Interface (MPI) is a widely accepted standard for parallel computing on distributed ***, MPI implementations can contain defects that impact the reliability and performance of parallelapplications. Detecting and correcting these defects is crucial, yet there is a lack of published models specificallydesigned for correctingMPI defects. To address this, we propose a model for detecting and correcting MPI defects(DC_MPI), which aims to detect and correct defects in various types of MPI communication, including blockingpoint-to-point (BPTP), nonblocking point-to-point (NBPTP), and collective communication (CC). The defectsaddressed by the DC_MPI model include illegal MPI calls, deadlocks (DL), race conditions (RC), and messagemismatches (MM). To assess the effectiveness of the DC_MPI model, we performed experiments on a datasetconsisting of 40 MPI codes. The results indicate that the model achieved a detection rate of 37 out of 40 codes,resulting in an overall detection accuracy of 92.5%. Additionally, the execution duration of the DC_MPI modelranged from 0.81 to 1.36 s. These findings show that the DC_MPI model is useful in detecting and correctingdefects in MPI implementations, thereby enhancing the reliability and performance of parallel applications. TheDC_MPImodel fills an important research gap and provides a valuable tool for improving the quality ofMPI-basedparallel computing systems.

The Disease Prediction System revolutionizes healthcare with advanced machine learning techniques for early detection of skin diseases, notably focusing on skin cancer. Fidelity plays an important role in quantum information processing,which provides a basic scale for comparing two quantum *** present,one of the most commonly used fidelities is Uhlmann-Jozsa(U-J)***,U-J fidelity needs to calculate the square root of the matrix,which is not trivial in the case of large or infinite density ***,U-J fidelity is a measure of overlap,which has limitations in some cases and cannot reflect the similarity between quantum states ***,a novel quantum fidelity measure called quantum Tanimoto coefficient(QTC)fidelity is proposed in this *** other existing fidelities,QTC fidelity not only considers the overlap between quantum states,but also takes into account the separation between quantum states for the first time,which leads to a better performance of ***,we discuss the properties of the proposed QTC *** fidelity is compared with some existing fidelities through specific examples,which reflects the effectiveness and advantages of QTC *** addition,based on the QTC fidelity,three discrimination coefficients d_(1)^(QTC),d_(2)^(QTC),and d_^(3)^(QTC)are defined to measure the difference between quantum *** is proved that the discrimination coefficient d_(3)^(QTC)is a true ***,we apply the proposed QTC fidelity-based discrimination coefficients to measure the entanglement of quantum states to show their practicability.

The utilization of Data-Driven Machine Learning (DDML) models in the healthcare sector poses unique challenges due to the crucial nature of clinical decision-making and its impact on patient outcomes. A primary concern in this domain is the data quality that forms the basis for these models, which is essential for their effectiveness. While numerous studies are dedicated to leveraging Machine Learning (ML) to enhance patient care, a substantial gap exists in understanding and evaluating the quality of training data before training ML models. This issue is exacerbated by the lack of well-defined standards to ensure that data characteristics align with the specific goals of ML in healthcare. To address this, our study introduces a conceptual three-dimensional framework focusing on data accuracy, completeness, and consistency aimed at assessing and improving the quality of training data. This framework is designed to enhance the performance, predictability, and interpretability of healthcare-specific ML models and reduce biases, thus bridging current research gaps and laying the groundwork for future developments in ML-driven healthcare systems. This paper presents the initial step for our proposed Data Quality Framework (DQF), which addresses the three dimensions mentioned above. It discusses its potential implications and applications in healthcare data, and its main goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the proposed DQF, illustrating its significance in advancing healthcare data quality and ultimately improving patient outcomes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The rapid development and widespread adoption of Internet technology have significantly increased Internet traffic,highlighting the growing importance of network *** Detection Systems(IDS)are essential for safeguarding network *** address the low accuracy of existing intrusion detection models in identifying network attacks,this paper proposes an intrusion detection method based on the fusion of Spatial Attention mechanism and Residual Neural Network(SA-ResNet).Utilizing residual connections can effectively capture local features in the data;by introducing a spatial attention mechanism,the global dependency relationships of intrusion features can be extracted,enhancing the intrusion recognition model’s focus on the global features of intrusions,and effectively improving the accuracy of intrusion *** proposed model in this paper was experimentally verified on theNSL-KDD *** experimental results showthat the intrusion recognition accuracy of the intrusion detection method based on SA-ResNet has reached 99.86%,and its overall accuracy is 0.41% higher than that of traditional Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)models.

software maintenance is the process of fixing,modifying,and improving software deliverables after they are delivered to the *** can benefit from offshore software maintenance outsourcing(OSMO)in different ways,including time savings,cost savings,and improving the software quality and *** of the hardest challenges for the OSMO vendor is to choose a suitable project among several clients’*** goal of the current study is to recommend a machine learning-based decision support system that OSMO vendors can utilize to forecast or assess the project of OSMO *** projects belong to OSMO vendors,having offices in developing countries while providing services to developed *** the current study,Extreme Learning Machine’s(ELM’s)variant called Deep Extreme Learning Machines(DELMs)is used.A novel dataset consisting of 195 projects data is proposed to train the model and to evaluate the overall efficiency of the proposed *** proposed DELM’s based model evaluations achieved 90.017%training accuracy having a value with 1.412×10^(-3) Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and 85.772%testing accuracy with 1.569×10^(-3) RMSE with five DELMs hidden *** results express that the suggested model has gained a notable recognition rate in comparison to any previous *** current study also concludes DELMs as the most applicable and useful technique for OSMO client’s project assessment.

This paper implements a network traffic analysis system with a focus on cybersecurity applications. The novelty lies in its combined approach of real-time traffic monitoring and machine learning-driven anomaly detection. Using the Scapy library, the core system extracts features such as packet rates, inter-arrival times, port usage, and TTL distributions from live network traffic. Four classifiers were evaluated for their effectiveness in detecting potential threats or unusual patterns, such as VPN usage. The Random Forest classifier achieved the highest accuracy at (0.976), followed by Gradient Boosting with an accuracy of (0.967). Logistic Regression demonstrated an accuracy of (0.902), while the Support Vector Machine (SVM) recorded a lower accuracy of (0.694). These results underscore the system's potential to accurately identify network anomalies, making it a valuable tool for cybersecurity professionals. © 2024 IEEE.

Following the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire healthcare community moved to adopt rapid digital healthcare solutions to avoid and reduce the adverse effects of pandemics. Although launching any digital healthcare solution or tool contributes to resolving or reducing the impact of the dilemma, still the agile development challenges behind this are not well structured or categorized yet. The current agile development of digital healthcare solutions is surrounded by difficulties that must be well-identified and synthesized to overcome and to specify and develop more robust solutions that are digitally ready for transformation. This research proposes a review-driven and expert-validated comprehensive classification for challenges that emerge under the agile development of digital healthcare applications, as the first deliverable in this research. The review covers the years 2020–2024. The classification contributes to deriving another deliverable in this research, that is a digital readiness framework for the agile development of digital healthcare solutions.
