It is quite common for medical drugs and prescriptions to be misidentified by hospitals and after drugs are being dispensed to the patients. Misidentification of medical drugs is more common among elderly and visually impaired patients. In hospital organizations, the leading medical error is adverse drug events. Another most common issue patients face is keeping track of medical lab reports. Our proposed mobile medical assistant system uses image processing to identify drugs with or without packaging, identifying prescription and medical lab reports. Furthermore, the mobile application will identify the trends of medical lab reports and predict next month’s results of the medical lab report of the patient using machine learning.

COVID-19 affected our lives intensly. That state of affairs made humans helpless. They had been depressed and experienced loneliness. At that time many human beings were determined to play video games just to loosen up their minds. Many games changed into an additional source of revenue wherein during COVID-19 they were playing while earning money. With these advantages, there were also some poor effects was accrued. A number of players remained playing video games post COVID-19. The carried out survey is based on the social video games results on players' well-being and additionally on the effects of gamers' health and their sensible lifestyles. We are going to investigate the behavior of gamers engaged with video games during the COVID-19 lockdown and the video games affects on their well-being, the time they served in playing video games, and the consequential effect on their behavior and social and mental well-being. The results provide a start line for empirically grounded discussions on video games at some stage in the pandemic, their use, and potential outcomes. Different agegroups of players have been investigated. Most players are between 18 and 30 years. A number of the gamers during lock down played a few hours but most of players were males who spent most of their day playing video games. However, now the ratio of playing video games is reduced as examined with past circumstances. Roughly we can say that the condition as a whole is better, the reason why players enforced video games in their post COVID-19 practical life1. © 2023 IEEE.

With the growing intelligence and personalization of consumer electronic products, extracting effective information has become a key challenge in Consumer Electronics (CE). Triadic Concept Analysis (TCA), an important extension of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), is widely applied but often struggles to handle the hesitant fuzzy characteristics in real-world data. To address this gap, we propose a Triadic Hesitant Fuzzy Concept (THFC) model. First, we introduce the concept of a triadic hesitant fuzzy background, integrating the fuzzy and hesitant nature of data in the CE environment. We propose a knowledge acquisition method based on THFC, which constructs a multi-granularity knowledge space with a dynamic adjustment mechanism. This method captures subtle distinctions between different types of information and their hierarchical structures in the context of CE, offering significant support for knowledge discovery and decision-making in complex environments. Building on this, we design a variable-precision hybrid similarity measurement (VP-HSM) method to extract core, adjunct, and edge concepts, thus providing more precise and structured knowledge for data analysis and decision-making in CE. Experimental results on publicly available datasets show that the proposed method significantly improves classification accuracy and stability, effectively handling hesitant fuzzy data and improving the accuracy of concept extraction. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users’ feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users’ preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly.

Social media is a crucial aspect of modern society, shaping global communication and information exchange. Social media slang encompasses informal language expressions, abbreviations, and unconventional words on these platforms, serving purposes such as concise communication and identity establishment. Data analytics from social media slang plays a vital role in providing real-time trends, enhancing sentiment analysis, and improving the accuracy of predictive models by capturing evolving linguistic trends. This study aims to address gaps in existing social media slang analytics by proposing a three-step process for extracting and validating domain-specific social media slang terms, specifically focusing on the domain of anxiety prediction in the context of mental health. The proposed approach involves the identification of relevant users, extraction of social media slang terms, and validation by subject matter experts. A pilot study is conducted in the domain of anxiety prediction, employing a self-prepared questionnaire and involving participants aged 13-14 from schools in Selangor, Malaysia. The pilot study identifies ten social media slang terms associated with anxiety, validated by subject matter experts who are licensed mental health practitioners. The slang terms exhibit varying prevalence levels among adolescents, with some terms absent from popular slang dictionaries like Urban Dictionary. The findings highlight the need for extracting slang terms from pertinent users and subject matter expert validation in incorporating social media slang into more appropriate predictive analytics.

Explainable-AI-based two-stage solution for WSN object localization using zero-touch mobile transceivers

Artificial intelligence technology is widely used in the field of wireless sensor networks(WSN).Due to its inexplicability, the interference factors in the process of WSN object localization cannot be effectively eliminated. In this paper, an explainable-AI-based two-stage solution is proposed for WSN object localization. In this solution, mobile transceivers are used to enlarge the positioning range and eliminate the blind area for object localization. The motion parameters of transceivers are considered to be unavailable,and the localization problem is highly nonlinear with respect to the unknown parameters. To address this,an explainable AI model is proposed to solve the localization problem. Since the relationship among the variables is difficult to fully include in the first-stage traditional model, we develop a two-stage explainable AI solution for this localization problem. The two-stage solution is actually a comprehensive consideration of the relationship between variables. The solution can continue to use the constraints unused in the firststage during the second-stage, thereby improving the performance of the solution. Therefore, the two-stage solution has stronger robustness compared to the closed-form solution. Experimental results show that the performance of both the two-stage solution and the traditional solution will be affected by numerical changes in unknown parameters. However, the two-stage solution performs better than the traditional solution, especially with a small number of mobile transceivers and sensors or in the presence of high noise. Furthermore,we have also verified the feasibility of the proposed explainable-AI-based two-stage solution.

By the beginning of 2020, the world woke up to a global pandemic that changed people’s everyday lives and restrained their physical contact. During those times Social Media Platforms (SMPs) were almost the only mean of individual-to-individual and government-to-individuals communications. Therefore, people’s opinions were more expressed on SM. On the other hand, election candidates used SM to promote themselves and engage with voters. In this study, we investigate how COVID-19 affected voters’ opinions through the months of the US presidential campaign and eventually predict the 2020 US Presidential Election results using Twitter’s data. Mainly two types of experiments were conducted and compared;(i) transformer-based, and (ii) rule-based sentiment analysis (SA). In addition, vote shares for the presidential candidates using both approaches were predicted. The results show that the rule-based approach nearly predicts the right winner, Joe Biden with MAE 2.1, outperforming the predicted results from CNBC, Economist/YouGov, and transformer-based (BERTweet) approach, except for RCP (MAE 1.55). © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The quick spread of the CoronavirusDisease(COVID-19)infection around the world considered a real danger for global *** biological structure and symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other viral chest maladies,which makes it challenging and a big issue to improve approaches for efficient identification of COVID-19 *** this study,an automatic prediction of COVID-19 identification is proposed to automatically discriminate between healthy and COVID-19 infected subjects in X-ray images using two successful moderns are traditional machine learning methods(e.g.,artificial neural network(ANN),support vector machine(SVM),linear kernel and radial basis function(RBF),k-nearest neighbor(k-NN),Decision Tree(DT),andCN2 rule inducer techniques)and deep learningmodels(e.g.,MobileNets V2,ResNet50,GoogleNet,DarkNet andXception).A largeX-ray dataset has been created and developed,namely the COVID-19 ***(400 healthy cases,and 400 COVID cases).To the best of our knowledge,it is currently the largest publicly accessible COVID-19 dataset with the largest number of X-ray images of confirmed COVID-19 infection *** on the results obtained from the experiments,it can be concluded that all the models performed well,deep learning models had achieved the optimum accuracy of 98.8%in ResNet50 *** comparison,in traditional machine learning techniques, the SVM demonstrated the best result for an accuracy of 95% and RBFaccuracy 94% for the prediction of coronavirus disease 2019.

Security and privacy are the leading solicitude in cloud computing since users have restricted privilege on the data maintained by distinct service providers at remote locations. The situation becomes more strenuous when a huge amount of data is sensed and produced by wearable devices as it is usually considered more sensitive and heterogeneous. The majority of existing authenticated solutions for such a challenging environment either suffer due to high computation and communication costs or due to the fact that they are susceptible to known cyber threats making them impractical for utilization. Therefore we introduced a cost-effective and secure authenticated scheme for the cloud-assisted remote wearable health monitoring system. Informal security proof is discussed to showcase the security strength of the proposed scheme against known security threats. After that a detailed performance analysis of the proposed scheme with related protocols reveals the fact that it can reduce the computation and communication costs by more than 37% and 40%, respectively. Moreover, our scheme offers some added security features like physical and desynchronization attacks prevention. © 2013 IEEE.

According to the requirement of recognizing traffic police gestures for driver assistance systems and intelligent vehicles, a universal model for dynamic traffic police gesture recognition is firstly introduced, of which can accurately present the spatial context (such as the relative lengths of skeletons, the angles between each skeleton w. r. t. gravity, and part features) of the traffic police gestures. Secondly, an architecture which can respectively extract spatial context and temporal features of dynamic traffic police gesture is proposed. Meanwhile, deep neural network and LSTM are introduced to build a high-resolution traffic police gestures recognizer (namely HRTPGR). At last, the open Police Gesture Dataset is used to train and test TPGR, and the experimental results show that the TPGR achieves a state-of-the-art accuracy with 98.7% for dynamic traffic police gestures recognition, and has strong anti-interference ability to light, background and gesture shape changes.
