New Approach to Multi-Modal Multi-View Video Coding

The correlation characteristics of Multi-view video (MVV) are influenced by the content of the video, illumination change, speed of moving objects and cameras, camera distance, frame rate, etc. In this paper, a framework of Multi-modal multi-view video coding (MMVC) is proposed on the basis of correlation analysis to achieve optimal performances among high compression efficiency, low complexity, low memory cost, view scalability and fast random access. Different prediction modes are designed to fit MVV with different correlations and meet different requirements of the Multi-view video coding (MVC). An optimal prediction mode is adaptively selected from the candidate modes according to the correlation characteristics of MVV. Experimental results have proved that MMVC not only has best random accessibility, but also has outstanding performance in compression efficiency, low memory requirement, low complexity and view scalability. MMVC is regarded as the most efficient and balanced MVC scheme among the compared schemes.

In cipher algorithms,the encryption and decryption are based on the same *** are some limitations in cipher algorithms,for example in polyalphabetic substitution cipher the key size must be equal to plaintext otherwise it will be repeated and if the key is known then encryption becomes *** paper aims to improve the said limitations by designing of Triple key security algorithm(TKS)in which the key is modified on polyalphabetic substitution cipher to maintain the size of the key and *** plaintext character is substituted by an alternative *** mode of substitution is transformed cyclically which depends on the current position of the modified *** keys are used in the encryption and decryption process on 8 or 16 rounds with the Exclusively-OR(XOR)of the 1st *** study also identifies a single-key attack on multiple rounds block cipher in mobile communications and applied the proposed technique to prevent the *** utilization of the TKS algorithm,the decryption is illustrated,and security is analyzed in detail with mathematical examples.

RFID technology offers an affordable and user-friendly solution for contactless identification of objects and individuals. However, the widespread adoption of RFID systems raises concerns regarding security and privacy. Vulnerabilities such as message tampering, interception, and eavesdropping pose significant risks to the integrity of the system. This study examines the effectiveness of two recently proposed ultra-lightweight RFID authentication protocols, URASP and KUAJB, in addressing these security challenges. Surprisingly, our findings reveal that both URASP and KUAJB protocols are susceptible to secret disclosure attacks, despite their claims of providing robust security. Consequently, the development of a truly ultra-lightweight protocol that ensures adequate security becomes a formidable task. As a potential solution, the enhancement of the URASP protocol through the integration of a simple cryptographic primitive is suggested to bolster its security measures. © 2013 IEEE.

During the application development process, it is important for a developer to analyze user requirements. This is crucial to the success of interactive systems and is an essential component of the design of information systems. User requirement analysis aids developers in understanding and analyzing users' needs and technology requirements. Throughout this case study, it is able to forecast the understanding, and technology acceptance, and at the same time improve the quality of work, reducing training and support costing and perennially improve customer or user satisfaction. The method of research selected is questionnaires that focused on collecting the data directly from Malaysian farmers through Google Forms as an online medium. The method was chosen because it is easy to implement and inexpensive due to the current situation of Covid-19. The questionnaire is designed with two sections where; a) includes the participant's demography to analyze information of the intended audience while b)focused on the knowledge of participants about recognition images. Results demonstrate the farmer's opinion and knowledge of the technology of image recognition in the agriculture sector. The quantitative research was undertaken using an online platform due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From the analysis, it is justified that the technology Acceptance Model (TAM) together with the mobile farming image recognition app is useful in collecting farmers' feedback and positive results have an outcome on the challenges faced by the durian farmers.

Eye-tracking can detect and examine human visual attention, emotional conditions, latent cognitive processes such as efforts to recall a concept or the fear of running out of time, and so on. Hence, we can use eye-tracking to identify deviant behavior patterns in learning and problem-solving. At present, given the existence of a global pandemic, online exams are widely used by educational institutions to evaluate students' performance. However, identifying cheating is challenging due to the absence of a human (invigilator) monitoring students' behavior as done in exams held in a physical location. In an online environment, students' behavior, and attempts to cheat, can only be captured via a computer, thus requiring a mechanism for online proctoring with capabilities for cheating detection. In this research paper, we present a browser based cheating detection approach in online examinations through eye gaze tracking. We developed a browser plugin to track the eye gaze movements through the in-built web camera. Using the plugin, we generate an eye gaze dataset while a student faces an online examination. We then process and analyze this dataset to detect any misbehavior during an online examination. The underlying research work of this paper identifies different eye gaze patterns during online examinations and present a cheating detection mechanism. For anomaly detection in the eye gaze data, we use a One-Class Support Vector Machine (OCSVM). We then use these identified anomalies to predict cheating behaviors of the test takers. The given approach can be used for any web-based quiz examination such as academic institutions' exams, company recruitment exams, and overseas testing exams to detect any anomalous behaviors of the test takers during the examination period. The given eye tracking approach can also be applied to other research domains such as online gaming, and web usability studies to capture information related to user behaviors. © 2021 IEEE.

Farmers all over the world struggle to fight plant diseases. However, the incorrect use of pesticides can waste time, effort, and money and can also be very harmful to the environment and human health. In this work, we present an empirical study that involves identifying two pathogens related to Cucumbers plant diseases: Powdery Mildew and Alternaria Cucumerina. The study aims to develop a computer-based solution based on deep learning and machine learning algorithms to detect these diseases. To achieve this, a dataset of hundreds of samples was collected from ordinary farms in Beqaa, an agricultural region 15 KM north of Amman, Jordan. Three machine learning models were created in this study using Support Vector Machines (SVM), Logistic Regression (LR), and Multi-layer perceptron algorithms. The constructed models were applied to the dataset after embedding the dataset images using the Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) InceptionV3 pre-trained model. The model was tested and evaluated using cross-evaluation and F1-Score, CA, AUC, Precision, Recall, and Specificity, which all showed excellent results, particularly using the SVM algorithm. The constructed methods are intended to be deployed to farms in their field condition environments using a CCTV system that can capture images of plants during growth, which can help identify plant diseases at that right stage, which would save time, effort, and money and reduce the impact of wrong and overuse of pesticides on consumers and the environment.

Due to its importance in studying people’s thoughts on various Web 2.0 services, emotion classification is a critical undertaking. Most existing research is focused on the English language, with little work on low-resource languages. Though sentiment analysis, particularly emotion classification in English, has received increasing attention in recent years, little study has been done in the context of Bangla, one of the world’s most widely spoken languages. In this research, we propose a complete set of approaches for identifying and extracting emotions from Bangla texts. We provide a Bangla emotion classifier for six classes, i.e., anger, disgust, fear, joy, sadness, and surprise, from Bangla words using transformer-based models, which exhibit phenomenal results in recent days, especially for high-resource languages. The Unified Bangla Multi-class Emotion Corpus (UBMEC) is used to assess the performance of our models. UBMEC is created by combining two previously released manually labelled datasets of Bangla comments on six emotion classes with fresh manually labelled Bangla comments created by us. The corpus dataset and code we used in this work are publicly available.

Fusionngfpe: An Image Fusion Approach Driven by Non-Global Fuzzy Pre-Enhancement Framework

The majority of prevailing image fusion methods employ a global strategy, often resulting in a reduction of contrast. In this study, we propose an image fusion approach (FusionNGFPE), specifically tailored to the structural characteristics of infrared (IR) imagery. We introduce a contrast equalization algorithm based on the Fourth-order Partial Differential Equation (FPDE) to effectively enhance background regions. Recognizing the inherent disparities between IR and visible (VIS) images, we devise a hybrid fusion strategy leveraging the Expectation Maximization algorithm (EM) and Principal Component Analysis algorithm (PCA). Comparative analysis against state-of-the-art fusion methods demonstrates the superior performance of our proposed algorithm in both qualitative and quantitative assessments. Additionally, to assess the practical applicability of FusionNGFPE, we integrate the fusion framework into the RGBT target tracking task utilizing the VOT-RGBT and OTCBVS datasets. Through comprehensive comparative experiments, we ascertain that the FusionNGFPE framework seamlessly integrates with the tracking task, significantly enhancing tracking accuracy across diverse scenarios. © 2024, The Authors. This study aims at designing Map Reduce and federated learning-based asthma prediction model for adolescent to provide answers to the problems associated with the existing asthma prediction model for adolescent. This study leveraged on two diverse datasets: the Nigerian Hospital Asthma dataset and the National Survey of Children Health dataset for benchmarking purposes. Symmetrical uncertainty and normalization interaction were employed for feature selection. The model was trained using Federated Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology Enabler (FATE) and complemented with XGBoost model and one central server for federated algorithm averaging. The study was implemented with python programming language on Google Collaboratory environment. The results of the analysis showed considerable high accuracy of 0.98, precision (0.98%), recall (0.98%) and F1-socre (0.99%) for the asthmatic class and precision of 0.98%, recall of 0.98%, as well as F1-score of 0.99% for the non-asthmatic class. The implemented model was benchmark with the existing asthma prediction models in the literature. Simulated attack was also performed using implemented model with and without Map Reduce. This study concludes that the researchers’ model has the potentials to outperform some of the existing machine learning models on asthma prediction in adolescent, thereby facilitating collaborative sharing of the model with other hospitals, protect the patient information from leakage, meeting the criteria of healthcare data protection regulation as well as beneficial for enhancing the security of the dataset.

The immune system plays a crucial role in defending the body against diseases, making it vital to develop models that can accurately predict immune system strength. This study presents an Enhanced Deep Learning Strategy (EDLS) designed to predict immune system strength based on immune-related biomarkers such as White Blood Cell (WBC) count and Immunoglobulins. A dataset consisting of 23,654 records with 12 features was collected from clinical sources. The data underwent comprehensive preprocessing, including noise reduction using a Median Filter, feature selection with Random Forest, and data fusion using Kalman Filters. The EDLS model integrates AutoEncoder for dimensionality reduction and Cascaded Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) for capturing temporal dependencies. The proposed model outperforms nine traditional and advanced machine learning models, including Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), with an accuracy of 94.72%. Evaluation metrics such as Precision (92.01%), Recall (93.77 % ), and F1-Score (92.88 % ) highlight the model's effectiveness in predicting immune system strength. Feature importance analysis reveals that WBC count and Immunoglobulins are the most influential predictors. This study demonstrates the potential of EDLS for enhancing immune strength prediction, which can have significant implications for personalized healthcare and disease prevention.
