Diabetic retinopathy (DR) involves retina damage due to diabetes, often leading to blindness. It is diagnosed via color fundus injections, but the manual analysis is cumbersome and error-prone. While computer vision techniques can predict DR stages, they are computationally intensive and struggle with complex data extraction. In this research, our prime objective was to automate the process of DR classification into its various stages using convolutional neural network (CNN) models. We employed the performance of fifteen pre-trained models with our novel proposed diabetic retinopathy network (DRNet13) model. We aimed to discern the most efficient model for accurate diabetic retinopathy (DR) staging based on fundus images from five DR classes. We preprocessed the image using a median filter for noise reduction and Gamma correction for image enhancement. We expanded our dataset from 3662 to 7500 images to create a more generalized training model through various augmentation techniques. We also evaluated multiple evaluation metrics, including accuracy, precision, F1-score, Sensitivity, Specificity, Area under the curve (AUC), Mean Squared Error (MSE), False Positive Rate (FPR), False Negative Rate (FNR), in addition to confusion matrices for an in-depth comparison of the performance of these models. Feature maps were employed to illuminate decision making areas in the DRNet13 model, which achieved a 97 % accuracy rate for DR detection, surpassing other CNN architectures in speed and efficiency. Despite a few misclassifications, the model's capability to identify critical features demonstrates its potential as an impactful diagnostic tool for timely and accurate identification of diabetic retinopathy. © 2024 The Authors

Switching power supply has wide application in various electrical equipment. The failure of high-voltage filter capacitors is the main cause of frequent faults, accounting for more than 60% of switching power supply failures. In order to realize the real-time detection of switching power supply failure without disassembling the power supply, a fault diagnosis model for improving the deep belief network (DTDBN) is proposed. The model uses the data acquisition device to isolate, filter, and collect data on the grid voltage of the switching power supply, judge the failure ratio of the filter capacitor according to the degree of voltage distortion of the power supply. Experimental results show that the proposed fault detection method achieves a 100% recognition rate for the filter capacitor normal state, 50% and 90% state recognition rate is 90%. The superiority of this method for the classification and early warning of power capacitor faults is proved.

AlphaStar, a multi-agent intelligence program, is a new member of Alpha’s gamer software. Rated at Grandmaster level in the empirical evaluation shows that AlphaStar has been a great success in engineering, which is another milestone in AI history. After a brief introduction to AlphaStar, we discussed its computational architecture, league training, PFSP, and proposed an interesting topic direction on the basis of our suggestions, which was how to combine the capacities of diverse ANNs that successful completed learning. Additionally, we proposed the viewpoint that is big data— space, intelligence— man’ world, parallel computing—time.

Weather data is very crucial in every aspect of human daily life. It plays an important role in many sectors such as agriculture, tourism, government planning, industry and so on. Weather has a variety of parameters like temperature, pressure, humidity and wind speed. The meteorological department deployed sensors for each weather parameter at different geographical locations to collect data. This data is stored mostly in the unstructured format. Thus, a big amount of data has been collected and archived. Therefore, storage and processing of this big data for accurate weather prediction is a huge challenge. Hadoop an apache product it used to support big data sets in a distributed environment. Hadoop has greatest advantages over scalable and fault-tolerant distributed processing technologies. This paper explains a system that uses the historical weather data of a region and apply the MapReduce and Hadoop techniques to analysis these historical data. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The integration of terrestrial and satellite wireless communication networks offers a practical solution to enhance network coverage, connectivity, and cost-effectiveness. Moreover, in today’s interconnected world, connectivity’s reliable and widespread availability is increasingly important across various domains. This is especially more crucial for applications like the Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, disaster management, and bridging the digital divide. However, allocating the limited network resources efficiently and ensuring seamless handover between satellite and terrestrial networks present significant challenges. Therefore, this study introduces a resource allocation framework for integrated satellite-terrestrial networks to address these challenges. The framework leverages local cache pool deployments and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) to reduce time delays and improve energy efficiency. Our proposed approach utilizes a multi-agent enabled deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm (MADDPG) to optimize user association, cache design, and transmission power control, resulting in enhanced energy efficiency. The approach comprises two phases: User Association and Power Control, where users are treated as agents, and Cache Optimization, where the satellite (Bs) is considered the agent. Through extensive simulations, we demonstrate that our approach surpasses conventional single-agent deep reinforcement learning algorithms in addressing cache design and resource allocation challenges in integrated terrestrial-satellite networks. Specifically, our proposed approach achieves significantly higher energy efficiency and reduced time delays compared to existing methods. This research highlights the importance and addresses the need for efficient resource allocation and cache design in integrated terrestrial-satellite networks, paving the way for enhanced connectivity and improved network performance in various applications. Mobile Advertising via Bluetooth and 2D Barcodes (MAB-2D) has been developed to create a unique 2D barcodes constructed using Bluetooth’s MAC addresses. The aim is to engage the usage of 2D barcodes in the ubiquitous advertising domain, particularly in mobile ads. Together with a distinctive mobile advertising framework based on Bluetooth’s architecture and implementing pull-based technology led to a spam-free environment. The intention of this project is to have a user-driven mobile advertising in interactive and effective ways. This application enables merchants to advertise their goods and services in a confined space straight to customers. Energy resilience in renewable energy sources dissemination components such as batteries and inverters is crucial for achieving high operational fidelity. Resilience factors play a vital role in determining the performance of power systems, regardless of their operating environment and interruptions. This article introduces a Unified Resilience Model (URM) using Deep Learning (DL) to enhance power system performance. The proposed model analyzes environmental factors impacting the resilience of batteries and energy storage devices. This deep learning approach trains performance-impacting factors using previously known low resilience drain data. The learning output is utilized to augment various strengthening factors, thereby improving resilience. Drain mitigation and performance improvements are combined for direct impact verification. This process validates the model's fidelity in enhancing power system performance, with a specific focus on the impact of weather factors. © 2025 The Authors

This paper presents an extended decision making of soft set to multi-valued information systems. By the notion of multi-soft sets, the concept of domination between two soft sets is proposed. Then, the highest value of domination is used for the best selection as a decision attribute. Context Agile software development (ASD) aims to deliver high-quality software. However, software quality often gets less attention due to focus on *** an evidence-based quality-aware ASD process that organizations can use to create a more quality-aware development process and improve software *** methodUsing design science research, we collaborated with four organizations applying ASD in different contexts. Involving a total of 35 practitioners, we designed company-specific evidence-based quality-aware ASD processes, which were validated through simulated scenarios, implemented, and evaluated by the practitioners. ResultsA general ASD process model, derived from the company-specific models, was created, which shows the specific activities, frequencies, roles, and development phases where evidence can be used to improve software quality. The new process model contributed towards improved bottleneck identification, release readiness, and quality issues prioritization. We also learned that companies must be mindful of the rules that determine the use of evidence. Conclusion Integrating the use of quality related evidence into the ASD process can make it quality-aware, supporting software quality management, and enabling timely reaction through fast feedback loops. The evidence-based quality-aware ASD process is applicable in any Scrum-like ASD process. Applicability in other forms of ASD, however, requires further research. © 2023, The Authors. 3G and 4G wireless communication technology, which requires broad network resources and large amounts of available electricity, was designed for high-speed Internet usage. Most narrowband-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) devices do not require high-speed Internet because most IoTs work by sending commands to and receiving commands from a server only. NB-IoT is a low-power wide area (LPWA) technology that was developed to accommodate a broad variety of new IoT devices. A low-power wide area network (LPWAN) uses narrow frequencies that support the use of devices in the 900 MHz frequency range that are inexpensive and that can be used in both buildings and wide areas. NB-IoT devices can also be used to assist medical patients, the elderly, and disabled people that are susceptible to falling. Our newly developed monitoring system has the ability to immediately recognize a fall, and then automatically alert up to 4 contacts via the LINE application. If dispatch of a medical unit is required, the patient's location is automatically available without the need for voice contact by the patient. © 2019 IEEE.
