Artificial intelligence has the potential to greatly improve the existing economy's efficiency. It might, however, have a more profound impact by serving as a brand-new, all-purpose 'method of invention' that can change the organization innovation processes. A wide spectrum of organizations is finding benefit in artificial intelligence (AI), which is upending the marketing and global economic markets. Business researchers and practitioners are showing an increasing interest in AI, according to recent highly referenced studies. For established and startup businesses employing big data and developing new, innovative strategies and business models, even in a B2B setting, AI is both an opportunity and a limitation. This study employs quantitative methodology and data analysis methods based on structural equation modelling. using the program SmartPLS 4.0. employing practical random sampling procedures to select a sample. The replies of 191 employees of financial organizations situated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, who completed online surveys were evaluated. © 2023 IEEE.

A method for estimating SPO2 using only an ordinary RGB color camera without using infrared light required by general pulse oximeters has been developed. In the method, first, three video pulse waves based on RGB video signals obtained by photographing the palm with a white LED light source were acquired as accurately as possible, and then their AC and DC components were obtained. SPO2 was estimated from the interrelationship among the three types of ratios. In the experiment, healthy 91 participants were made to hold their breath for 20s to create changes in SPO2. True values of SPO2 obtained from the fingertip photoelectric pulse wave meter was compared with estimated values from the palm video image. The results performed from five trials of cross-validation demonstrated that the multiple regression model was superior to the optimization method for absorption coefficients. © 2022 IEEE.

While local basis function (LBF) estimation algorithms, commonly used for identifying/tracking systems with time-varying parameters, demonstrate good performance under the assumption of normally distributed measurement noise, the estimation results may significantly deviate from satisfactory when the noise distribution is of impulsive nature, for example, heavy-tailed or corrupted by outliers. This paper introduces a computationally efficient method to make LBF estimator robust, enhancing its resistance to impulsive noise. The study illustrates that, for polynomial basis functions, this modified LBF estimator can be computed recursively. Furthermore, it demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can undergo online tuning through parallel estimation and leave-one-out crossvalidation.

The present study investigates the usage of a novel natural dye derived from red algae of Morocco in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) for the first time. The main pigments responsible for sensitizing the semiconductor TiO2 coatings in the red algae were identified as phycoerythrin, carotenoid, and chlorophyll. The efficiency of a DSSC made from red algae was compared to that of a solar cell made from chlorophyll alone. The photovoltaic performance of the DSSC was evaluated through photocurrent density to photovoltage (J-V) characteristic analysis, and the efficiency was found to be 0.93%. To gain insights into its behavior, the absorbance and photoluminescence in a broad range were studied. Both absorbance and photoluminescence exhibited a broad-spectrum range. Additionally, electronic properties, such as HOMO, LUMO, energy gap, and chemical reactivity parameters, were studied using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

This paper provides a thorough exploration of the absolute value equations Ax - |x| = b, a seemingly straightforward concept that has gained heightened attention in recent years. It is an NP-hard and nondifferentiable problem and equivalent with the standard linear complementarity problem. Offering a comprehensive review of existing literature, the study delves into theorems concerning the existence and nonexistence of solutions to the absolute value equations, along with numerical methods for effectively addressing this complex equation. Going beyond conventional approaches, the paper investigates strategies for obtaining solutions with minimal norms, techniques for correcting infeasible systems, and other pertinent topics. By pinpointing challenging issues and emphasizing open problems, this paper serves as a valuable guide for shaping the future research trajectory in this dynamic and multifaceted field. Business stakeholders have expressed a great deal of interest in the idea of boosting the value of their companies by fusing them with the emerging metaverse notion. The metaverse is a brand-new phenomenon that will soon completely transform both the digital and physical environments. In light of this, the author creates a framework for how the metaverse alters the universe. To comprehend the value of the metaverse in relation to digital transformation, this research aimed to examine the effects of metaverse and marketing innovation based on empirical data on how companies use cutting-edge technology in conjunction with marketing initiatives and their impact on digital transformation. The quantitative analysis applied to explore the research model, a descriptive, exploratory and analytical research design applied using convenient sampling. 61 digital marketing agencies were approached located in Dubai. Data collected from 196 respondents were incorporated for analysis using SmartPLS 4.0. The findings suggest a positive significant relationship of metaverse and marketing innovation with digital transformation. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper reports a qualitative analysis of the literature search output of studies on digital technology interventions deployed specifically in the G7 countries in response to the recent pandemic. This is followed by interviews with eighteen participants from the G7 countries about their experiences in adapting digital technologies to mitigate the effect of the pandemic. Using a thematic analysis approach, the study uncovers two streams of digital technology resilience: digital resilience in public and private spheres; and healthcare and well-being in the digital age. Together with a set of identified technology-driven and individual-driven resistance and enabling factors, a model of a proposed digital resilience (DigiRES) framework is developed for validation and in-country contextualization. The implications of the study for preparedness for future pandemics or crises are highlighted.

This paper presents a novel approach for head tracking in augmented reality (AR) flight simulators using an adaptive fusion of Kalman and particle filters. This fusion dynamically balances the strengths of both algorithms, leveraging Kalman filters for computational efficiency and particle filters for handling non-linearities based on real-time factors such as sensor noise and head movement patterns. Our method demonstrates superior tracking precision and reduced latency, making it particularly effective for immersive pilot training in AR-based flight simulations. While focused on flight simulation, our approach holds high potential for broader applications in other AR and virtual reality (VR) environments where precise, real-time head tracking is crucial. These results provide actionable design guidance for developers optimizing tracking systems in environments that require fast response times and high accuracy. Future extensions of this research could explore the generalization of our approach across diverse AR applications, including human-computer interaction (HCI), medical simulations, and gaming. © 1968-2012 IEEE.
