This paper aims at the estimation of the Domain of Attraction (DoA) of the free tumor equilibrium point of perturbed tumor immunotherapy model via the Arc-Length Function (ALF). The ALFs are categorized among the maximal Lyapunov functions which are able to provide a more accurate estimation of the DoA in comparison to their other counterparts such as Rational Lyapunov Functions (RLFs), Sum Of Square (SOS) polynomial Lyapunov functions, and Optimal Quadratic Lyapunov Functions (OQLFs). There is no analytical method to construct the ALFs, however, some numerical methods have been proposed in the literature. Based on the existing method, one can approximate the ALF with a certain degree of a polynomial function. That the system under study has a polynomial structure was the main basis of the previously proposed method to estimate the DoA via the ALFs. However, the intended model in this paper describing the tumor-immune system competition dynamics contains non-polynomial terms. To cope with the aforementioned problem, the Taylor expansion of the non-polynomial terms are considered and by solving an optimization problem, one can calculate the corresponding lower boundary of the level set with the approximated ALF as an estimation of the DoA. In order to represent the performance of the employed method, the obtained result is compared with the reported result in the literature.

We report on the inelastic-scattering rate of electrons on phonons and relaxation of electron energy studied by means of magnetoconductance, and photoresponse, respectively, in a series of strongly disordered superconducting NbN films. The studied films with thicknesses in the range from 3 to 33 nm are characterized by different Ioffe-Regel parameters but an almost constant product qTl (qT is the wave vector of thermal phonons and l is the elastic mean free path of electrons). In the temperature range 14–30 K, the electron-phonon scattering rates obey temperature dependencies close to the power law 1/τe−ph∼Tn with the exponents n≈3.2–3.8. We found that in this temperature range τe−ph and n of studied films vary weakly with the thickness and square resistance. At 10 K electron-phonon scattering times are in the range 11.9–17.5 ps. The data extracted from magnetoconductance measurements were used to describe the experimental photoresponse with the two-temperature model. For thick films, the photoresponse is reasonably well described without fitting parameters, however, for thinner films, the fit requires a smaller heat capacity of phonons. We attribute this finding to the reduced density of phonon states in thin films at low temperatures. We also show that the estimated Debye temperature in the studied NbN films is noticeably smaller than in bulk material.

The main goal of the paper is to study the equilibria of a nonlinear system, proving the existence and uniqueness of an equilibrium point in the positive ortant. We also provide numerically tractable conditions (by using Linear Matrix Inequalities techniques) to check the asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point. The inventory control systems has an important role to monitor the condition of the goods at the supply chain stage of goods distribution from the central warehouse to retail in accordance with consumer demand. The research aims to develop inventory control systems on the supply chain distribution of goods from suppliers to retail through the central warehouse with minimal supply chain costs. Minimization of supply chain cost using martingale model of forecast evaluation, and the result as the basis for calculation of safety stock and reorder point. The results of research are the system that can be used to control inventory and renewal of goods in the central warehouse by calculating the minimization of supply chain cost based on consumer demand. Case studies were conducted on the supply chain distribution of goods from the central warehouse to the retail in Semarang. The observation data derived from the goods distribution from central warehouse to retail for certain products over 4 time periods. Through such inventory control system, can minimize supply chain cost, and product inventory level can be maintained in time and amount of inventory that must be fulfilled. © 2018 IEEE.

In the invest theory and practice is widely spread the approach of reducing the negative influence of the risky assets by their division in a portfolio. The necessity for diversification of the assets is obvious and it’s due to the desire for reducing the risk of the entire portfolio. On the other hand, there are little deliberations on the over-fragmentation of the assets. Every diversification has own price and the over-fragmentation of the assets in the portfolio makes the approach counter-productive. In the paper is presented a mathematical approach which determines the effective level of allocation of the Cash Financial Asset in the integrated portfolio. In this article are adopted the constraints about the division of the asset on equal parts and equal risk level of each fraction. It proves that there is an optimal portfolio for a given asset size.

With advancements in the science of detection and attribution studies, the influence of climate change over many events has now been quantified. Because of the rapidly increasing temperatures, vulnerable populations (adults older than 65 years, and children younger than one year of age) were exposed to 3·7 billion more heatwave days in 2021 than annually in 1986–2005 (indicator 1.1.2), and heat-related deaths increased by 68% between 2000–04 and 2017–21 (indicator 1.1.5), a death toll that was significantly exacerbated by the confluence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the local cooling and overall health benefits of urban greenspaces, only 277 (27%) of 1038 global urban centres were at least moderately green in 2021 (indicator 2.2.3), and the number of households with air conditioning increased by 66% from 2000 to 2020, a maladaptive response that worsens the energy crisis and further increases urban heat, air pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. The development of lead-free solders has emerged as one of the key issues in the electronics packaging ***-Sn-Ag eutectic alloy has been considered as one of the lead-free solder materials that can replace the toxic Pb-Sn eutectic solder without increasing soldering *** investigated the effects of temperature gradient and growth rate on the mechanical,electrical and thermal properties of the BiSn-Ag ternary eutectic ***-47 wt%Sn-0.68 wt%Ag alloy was directionally solidified upward with different temperature gradients（G=2.33-5.66 K/mm） at a constant growth rate（V=13.25 μm/s） and with different growth rates（V=6.55-132.83 μm/s） at a constant temperature gradient（G=2.33 K/mm） in the growth *** microstructures（λ）,microhardness（HV）,tensile stress（σ）,electrical resistivity（ρ）,and thermal properties（△H,Cp,Tm） were measured on directionally solidified *** dependency of the λ,HV,σ,and ρ on G and V was *** to the experimental results,X values decrease with increasing G and V,but HV,λ,and ρ values increase with increasing G and *** of electrical resistivity（ρ） for cast samples with the temperature in the range of 300-400 K were also measured by using a standard dc four-point probe *** enthalpy of fusion（△H） and specific heat（Cp） for the same alloy was also determined by means of differential scanning calorimeter（DSC） from heating trace during the transformation from eutectic liquid to eutectic solid.

The aim of this work is to develop an artificial neural network (ANN) based model for accurately predicting the daily global solar irradiation in the city of Fez. The potential of the developed model is verified and appraised through the local collected database for the period 2009-2015 from the radiometric station of the faculty of Sciences and Technology of Fez. The obtained model is MLP with feed forward back-propagation algorithm containing three input parameters and a single hidden layer with nine neurons. Coefficient of determination R 2, the mean absolute percentage error MAPE and the relative root mean square error RRMSE are respectively equal to 97.16%, 21.77% and 18.79%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The Fish owners of the pet fish are usually distressed when they are away from home environment because they could not feed the fish on time. Both reasons, food starvation and overfeeding risk the health of fish and leads to poor water quality in indoor fish tanks. Thus monitoring the fish feeder is of great importance which can be very beneficial for the fish owners. This work is aimed to design a fish feeder system using microcontroller and Raspberry Pi based web application to relax the distressed fish owners in feeding their fish on time. This system is designed to overcome the problem of fish dying due to fish feeder malfunction. With this design, the fish owner can monitor the fish tank for correct functioning of the fish feeder. Also, the user can set schedules for feeding the fish through the web application. © 2017 IEEE.

The desire to share and unite remote digital assets motivated the development of the classical internet, the enabler of the entire 21st century economy and our modern way of life. As we enter the quantum era, it is to be expected there will be a similar demand for networking quantum assets, motivating a global quantum internet for bringing together the world's quantum resources, leveraging off their exponential trajectory in capability. We present models for quantum networking, how they might be applied in the future, and the implications they will have. Socially, economically, politically and geostrategically, the upcoming era of quantum supremacy will be as significant for the 21st century as the transistor was for the 20th. The inherently different scaling in the computational power of quantum computers fundamentally changes the dynamics of how they will operate in the future. Given their high expected initial cost, a client/server model for outsourcing computation will be essential for enabling the accessibility and proliferation of this technology, and ensuring its economic viability. We therefore anticipate the emergence of cloud quantum computing, a model for outsourcing quantum computations to the network. We argue that economic efficiency will mandate that all future quantum computers be united into a single global virtual quantum computer, offering exponentially more power to all network participants than if they were to keep their resources to themselves. This model for the allocation of computational resources is uniquely quantum, with no classical analogue, completely altering the economic landscape for the future of computation. Given the sensitivity of much of the data to which future quantum computers are going to foreseeably be applied, protocols for encrypted quantum computation will be essential - the outsourcing of computations that neither an eavesdropper nor even the server performing the computation can spy upon.
