The challenge of human factor influence for analyzing the reliability and safety of car transportation is discussed. An analysis of the density and the kind of use among the drivers in different regions and seasons of the year is made. The possibilities to detect the driver falling into a relaxant, somnolent or micro-sleep stage by the use of suitable combination of secondary factors are investigated. The operation of the driver in the moving car is an example of very complicated interaction between several very heterogeneous systems.

This paper describes present state of our project, whose result should be the system measuring ventilation fans relevant quantities in industrial enviroment, and this data will be processed and evaluted to detect incomming problems and control maintenance of monitored device. We are designing control unit based on microcontroller Motorola HC08 family, which will be able to measure and make simple data processing. Further this data will be transferred into the main computer by using industrial bus to make evaluation and visualization.

The aim of this work was to design and realize a compact module of data acquisition. This module was designed for the applications of meteorological measurements of barometric pressure, temperature and relative air humidity. The main parts of this module are above all 8-bit microcontroller with digital and analog ports, external EEPROM memory for storage of the measured data, LCD display for their actual visualization and RS232 interface for communication and transfer of data to PC. In this paper we proposed a fuzzy neural network model which can embody a fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno model and carry out fuzzy inference and support structure of fuzzy rules. The algorithm of model properties improvement consists of new origin procedures namely input space partition, fuzzy terms number and rule number extending, low-effective fuzzy terms and rules extraction and consequent structure identification. In the proposed fuzzy modeling method we first design a rough initial fuzzy model with complete partition of input variable space (or initial partition based on expert knowledge). Then a fuzzy neural network is constructed based on rough fuzzy model. By learning of the neural network we can tune of embedded initial fuzzy model. Next, the additional identifying procedure is introduced based on additional partition of fuzzy input space to improve the properties of initial fuzzy model and to decrease the model error. In final part of identification some low-effective terms and rules are extracted and final rule based model is formed. To apply the new identifying procedures and to introduce possibilities of variability of their properties some parameters have to be put in. The strategy of such parameter optimization is provided by new advanced genetic algorithm. Criterion and cost function has been selected as global fuzzy-neuro model error. To show the applicability of new method and to make a possibility to real systems modeling, we designed the fuzzy-neural network programme tool FUZNET. There were two case studies performed: the first case study presents the prediction of Mackey-Glass time series with using fuzzy-neural regression model (FNRM) predictor; the second case study presents task of a coke-oven gas cooler modeling.

The paper deals with a bulk solid pressure observation inside a silo using new developed 3Dimensional (Triaxial) Indicator. New design and conception of the 3D indicator have been developed exclusively for detecting of real stresses/pressures inside vessels, bunkers and silos. The unique design of the 3D indicator in cooperation with appropriate used software, and with a silo model is able to assure a clear image to pressure/stress identifications in particulate solid. Moreover, the third dimension is unique and enriches the area of the pressure knowledge. The measurement process incl. the procedure of processing values using the created interactive software environment has been explained in the poster intimately and investigated in a real silo loaded by a poured bulk solid. Real results and outputs of the investigation have been presented and discovered in the paper.

This paper presents an adaptive, iteratively functioning ECG signal filtering method. After a conventional pre-filtering, the waves from the signal are localized and the model's parameters are determined. The gained information allows an iterative-type filtering in permanent concordance with the aimed processing manner. The structure of the algorithm allows real-time adaptation to the heart's state. Using these methods for one channel of the MIT-BIH database, the detection rate of QRS complexes is above 99.8%. The negative influence of various noise types, like 50/60 Hz power line, abrupt baseline shift or drift, and low sampling rate was almost completely eliminated. IFAC.
