Personalized suggestions may enhance the use of online food shopping, an already popular and handy service. But data sparsity and scalability problems restrict the current recommendation systems rely on user-based collaborative filtering algorithms. Smart grocery delivery with personalized suggestions is proposed in this system using item-based collaborative filtering algorithms and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. In the system, smart appliances like fridges and scales track food supplies and consumption, and then, according to the user's preferences, they automatically place purchases on internet platforms. It makes use of item-based collaborative filtering algorithms to examine other users' evaluations and purchase histories in order to provide the user with relevant and varied product recommendations. The method is tested on a real-world dataset and contrasted with collaborative filtering methods rely on user input. Techniques outperform the competition in terms of suggestion accuracy, variety, and coverage while simultaneously decreasing delivery time and costs. By implementing our strategy, not only can online grocery shopping be made more enjoyable for users, but it can also spur the growth of e-commerce and the IoT. © 2024 IEEE.

The article discusses the theoretical foundations of the design of a single-channel ultrahigh frequency moisture meter with direct measurement of the moisture content of bulk materials. In accordance with the requirements of the methodology for selecting efficiency criteria, it is necessary to develop structural diagrams of measuring devices. For these purposes, the standard deviation of the random error is determined, characterizing the accuracy. It includes the main components: sensitivity error, zero error and additive component. Mathematical models of structures are constructed and the standard deviation of random errors, which are caused by certain parameters and additive fluctuations, is calculated. A single-parameter ultrahigh-frequency method for determining the moisture content is proposed. This method provides high accuracy of a single-channel ultrahigh frequency moisture meter with direct measurement of the moisture content of bulk materials. The measuring device can be used in the agricultural industry, where humidity is one of the important parameters, starting with harvesting and ending with the release of finished products.

Medicinal plants are generally important for the therapeutically active materials that can be obtained from them. Authenticating the herbal products obtained from these medicinal plants and separating adulterants from genuine therapeutic products in order to protect the health of the public and guarantee the reproducible quality of herbal medicines is however a vital necessity and both manufacturers and regulatory organisations have roles in ensuring the quality of herbal medicines. Phytopharmaceuticals or herbal drugs are defined as having good quality standards when their identity, purity, composition, and other physical, chemical, and biological characteristics, as well as the manufacturing processes meet certain established regulatory criteria. Herbal products introduced into the market are often substandard and fail to meet the criteria for quality, safety, and even legality, regulations are thus put in place by relevant bodies in different countries to regulate herbal products beginning from the raw materials and way through the whole manufacturing process. Moreover, the choice of an appropriate analytical method from the numerous that are available (microscopy, spectrometry, spectroscopy, chromatography, etc.) is vital to ensure that herbal products meet quality standards before consumption. This review seeks to present a variety of evaluation standards that herbal products are required to meet before they may be introduced to into the market.

The Coronavirus Disease(COVID-19)pandemic has exposed the vulnerabilities of medical services across the globe,especially in underdeveloped *** the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak,a strong demand exists for developing novel computer-assisted diagnostic tools to execute rapid and cost-effective screenings in locations where many screenings cannot be executed using conventional *** imaging has become a crucial component in the disease diagnosis process,whereas X-rays and Computed Tomography(CT)scan imaging are employed in a deep network to diagnose the *** general,four steps are followed in image-based diagnostics and disease classification processes by making use of the neural networks,such as network training,feature extraction,model performance testing and optimal feature *** current research article devises a Chaotic Flower Pollination Algorithm with a Deep Learning-Driven Fusion(CFPADLDF)approach for detecting and classifying *** presented CFPA-DLDF model is developed by integrating two DL models to recognize COVID-19 in medical ***,the proposed CFPA-DLDF technique employs the Gabor Filtering(GF)approach to pre-process the input *** addition,a weighted voting-based ensemble model is employed for feature extraction,in which both VGG-19 and the MixNet models are ***,the CFPA with Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)model is utilized for classification,showing the work’s novelty.A comparative analysis was conducted to demonstrate the enhanced performance of the proposed CFPADLDF model,and the results established the supremacy of the proposed CFPA-DLDF model over recent approaches.

control performance decreases significantly in the presence of uncertainty in variable availability, measurement noise, or instrumentation failure. In cluttered environments such as the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), clinical measures are often influenced by noise and artifacts. An important component in post-operative treatment is the assessment and management of pain levels. However, reliable information is critical for clinically relevant results and improved patient outcomes. From a control engineering point of view, variables are often estimated and interpolated to allow a suitable flow of feedback information to control loops for the optimization of drug dosages. In this context, Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands as a promising tool to augment pain level assessment. This study introduces and compares two AI-based approaches for predicting continuous Numerical Rating Scales (NRS) based on heart rate (HR) data. The first approach uses polynomial regression, lasso regression, and ridge regression, while the second employs an LSTM model. Notably, the AI prediction model, independent of traditional interpolation techniques, outperforms the approach relying on interpolation. The proposed AI-based method holds promise for continuous estimation and can serve as an estimator for model-based control. This proof of concept study underscores the potential of AI tools to enhance pain level assessment.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) represents a significant shift in network architecture, providing exceptional programmability, flexibility, and simplified management. However, this paradigm shift introduces a unique set of security challenges that must be addressed to fully realize the potential of SDN. This paper examines the security issues in SDN environments, detailing the threats and vulnerabilities at various layers of the SDN architecture, including the control plane, data plane, and application plane. Through an extensive review of current literature, critical security challenges such as controller attacks, data plane breaches, and vulnerabilities in inter-plane communications are identified. Existing security solutions and mitigation strategies, such as authentication and authorization mechanisms, encryption techniques, and intrusion detection systems, are also explored. Furthermore, the paper discusses recent advances and emerging trends in SDN security, offering insights into ongoing research and future directions. The findings underscore the importance of robust security measures in ensuring the reliability and integrity of SDN deployments, providing a foundation for future innovation and development in this dynamic field.

Medical imaging modalities, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-rays, and ultrasound, are extensively employed in the healthcare industry for diagnostic purposes. Noise, on the other hand, can disturb these approaches and lead to inaccurate diagnosis. Due to this problem, the significance of noise removal technologies has grown in the field of medical imaging, specifically for the examination and understanding of medical images and anatomical structures. To tackle these challenges, a variety of denoising techniques have been developed, such as the Weiner filter (WF), Gaussian filter, and median filter. This work employs a Deep Learning (DL) method known as Convolutional Autoencoder (CAE) to remove noise from medical images. We gather chest X-ray images for analysis and focus on common noise types that affect medical images, such as Poisson and Gaussian noise. We evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested denoising method CAE by comparing it to the commonly employed WF methodology. The Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) are employed to assess and compare the performance of the WF and CAE in reducing Poisson and Gaussian noise. The study's findings indicate that the suggested denoising method based on CAE shows promising results in terms of improving quality.

Every new generation of modern vehicles aims to provide the customers with a higher level of comfort and entertainment services. Consequently, the burden is placed upon the manufacturers to incorporate ever more complex electronic systems in their products and introduce service-based technologies. To meet these demands, service-oriented architecture (SOA) has become an integral part of the Adaptive AUTOSAR as the industry standard. Also, mobile services and applications are natively supported in the new in-vehicle infotainment systems (IVI) which usually run on the Android operating system. As these fundamentally different technologies are incorporated in the vehicles, the developers are facing the challenge of connecting them and exchanging information between the services running in different domains. Service-oriented architectures usually rely on a model-driven engineering approach to facilitate the development of the applications. However, as the complexity of the system grows, the mapping of various metamodels becomes a challenge, as no single standard is used across all domains in the vehicle. This paper provides a possible solution for mapping the already existing AUTOSAR metamodel to an Android Interface Definition Language (AIDL) metamodel. By applying the proposed mapping, it is possible to build applications that require the cooperation of various domains within the vehicle.

SOME/IP is a communication protocol introduced in automotive industry to enable Service Oriented Architecture which is not possible using traditional automotive protocols such as CAN or FlexRay. A trend emerging in the last years in the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is that SOME/IP became one of main communication protocols used for communication between safety and performance ECU devices. Currently in the market, including the open-source solutions, there is a set of different SOME/IP implementations that have different audience and combination of characteristics like high royalty costs, available feature set and software solution maturity. This paper presents the Bitroute SOME/IP, a new implementation of the SOME/IP communication protocol with focus on performance and deployment platform independency and compares it with the open-source solution from The Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA).

This study explored the feasibility of incorpo-rating a passive Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) into the individualization process of wearable assistive devices, with a specific focus on lower-limb exoskeletons. These devices can greatly improve mobility and quality of life for those with lower limb impairments. However, their optimal performance relies on personalized adjustments. This study offered a unique approach to user feedback without intentional control. A one-degree-of-freedom knee exoskeleton was utilized, introducing different levels of impedance to create distinct assistance levels. The analysis identified specific brain clusters, notably the right premotor and supplementary motor cortex, exhibiting significant differences in activity between the easiest and the most challenging conditions. This critical proof-of-concept step demonstrated that through decoding the user's brain activity, passive BCI could support the individualization of assistive technology. This approach indicated the potential to enhance the performance and user experience of wearable assistive devices.
