The aim of the research was to investigate of clothing purchase behaviours of digital consumers. The survey method was employed in the research. A questionnaire was developed to gather the data. The questionnaire was designed in two parts. In the first part of the questionnaire it consisted of defining the personal details. In the second part, the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing clothes via the Internet were itemised with five-point Likert scale. The sample group was selected with "random sample method" as 512 digital consumers. In the research, the clothing purchase behaviours of the digital consumers were compared in terms of the advantages and disadvantages with the personal details. As a result, women thought the clothes purchasing from the Internet favourable and men thought that it was unfavourable. It was also seen that the users of the Internet for shopping older than 4-5 years and the users of the daily 4-5 hours shopping websites found the Internet favourable for the clothing purchase. For other comparisons, there wasn't any meaningful relationship.

The total volume of solar energy reaching the earth in every second is equivalent to the total energy usage by the entire human race for three days. With this vast amount of clean energy freely available to humanity, there is still heavy dependence on fossil resources for energy. The major challenge with the use of fossil-based fuel is the generation of both land and atmospheric pollutants, which adversely affect the ecosystem. However, an essential requirement in transitioning from fossil energy to clean energy is the use of effective energy storage systems. Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) and poly(4-styrene sulfonate) (PSS) PEDOT:PSS is currently one of the highly researched semi-conducting polymers that form the vast and expanding literature on energy application. Owing to its high electrical conductivity, thermal stability, and film-forming ability, PEDOT and its derivatives are employed for pseudocapacitive storage applications. This review will present a detailed discussion on the synthesis, properties, and application of PEDOT:PSS for battery and ultracapacitors. Highlights on the recent development and outlook in the use of PEDOT and its derivatives for energy application will also be provided.

To address the challenges of sustainable manufacturing, precise, transparent and standardized sustainability assessment is essential. In this regard, normalization and weighting approaches are key tools to improve the precision, transparency and robustness of sustainability assessment efforts. However, mostly, the available literature on sustainability assessment discusses less about normalization and weighting. Moreover, previously, most of the related sustainability assessment and review studies were based on normalization and weighting for life cycle assessment (environmental dimension) only. Thus, this paper aims to present the recent status quo of normalization and weighting practices for sustainability assessment in manufacturing. Unlike previous review studies, this paper includes all three dimensions of sustainability (environment, economy and society). In order to achieve this objective, recent sustainability assessment studies (published in last 10 years) were reviewed and analyzed, from normalization and weighting viewpoints. The results showed that a majority of the reviewed studies which considered all three dimensions of sustainability were based on internal normalization. In contrast, the environmental assessment based studies were mostly grounded on external normalization. In addition, most of the reviewed studies considering all three dimensions of sustainability were concerned with normalization of input and/or output indicators, whereas environment based studies were mostly normalized for impact indicators. For weighting purposes, the analytic hierarchy process method was used most commonly, whereas the Delphi method and others were less frequently employed. Overall, more future work is required to increase awareness and usage of normalization and weighting methods for sustainability assessment in manufacturing.

A woven 3D composite is a new type of an advanced construction material. A prototype of three dimensional (3D) textile based on combination of a flat textile with two intersecting tunnels with a rectangular cross-section was constructed and the feasibility of this type of weaving was studied. Prototype of 3D woven fabric was made. Based on 3D textiles preforms composites for the mechanical trial was made. Composites used for strength tests were made using a vacuum infusion method. The basic elements of the composite, that is the flat part and the element with the rib, were selected for testing. This selection resulted from a complicated process of making a composite based on the entire fabric. A 3D composite, created through the lamination of two flat fabric, was also made for comparison. The study compared the material strength with and without rib reinforcement. Tensile and bending test was made. The analysis of the third composite was aimed at demonstrating the purpose of implementing the complicated weaving process. The laminate reinforced with 3D fabrics made from a unified weaving process is characterised by the best mechanical properties of the tested variants. The results can be considered to be encouraging.

A growing number of elderly people in Poland and Europe forces us to look for new solutions for the continuous monitoring of their health state. This approach allows an early action in case of dangerous situations for elderly persons' life (state before a heart attack or a stroke, etc.). The system for continuously monitoring the health state also allows a quick action of first contact doctors in the case of emergency situations. That described system also allows the remotely monitoring of elderly people in their homes by their relatives. The monitoring system is portable, comfortable to use and uses non-invasive measurement methods. That kind of clothing is a fully user-friendly product. The textronics system is a new product for monitoring selected human physiological parameters such as: pulse, frequency of breathing, underclothing temperature, positioning inside and outside the house. textile sensory elements and signal lines are implemented in the structure of the clothing and that is a main innovation of that kind of systems. System of a textile sensor is part of a garment, the monitoring system is fully portable, easy for using, does not require specialized medical services. Furthermore, measurement of physiological parameters is non-invasive which means that does not interfere directly in the human body. The system is completely safe, because it is supplied by a miniature battery such as the ones that are used in mobile phones. The combination of textile clothing interface with specialized software for data acquisition and generation of alarm signals provides a continuous overview of the health status of the monitored person.

Some of the most significant properties of static dissipative woven fabric systems, in applications where contact of textile material and human body is present, beside antistatic properties are definitely microbial barrier permeability and thermophysiological properties. Application of such materials with associated properties is of great importance in bedding upholstery and comfortable apparel. Based on the conducted relevant tests, according to standardized and newly developed methods, it can be concluded that the such static dissipative woven fabric fulfils all the highly set criteria's, resulting in a system that can, with certainty, provide the necessary health protection and comfort.

Compared with viscose fibre, modal fibre is characterized by some advantageous properties such as higher dry and wet tenacities, higher wet modulus, lower water retention capacity and lower level of swelling. Impact of different knitted fabric structure made of cotton and 97 % CMD/3 % EL fibres on thermo-physiological comfort and microbial barrier properties were investigated. All knitted fabrics have very good physiological properties. The microbial barrier permeability of knitted fabric after extreme contamination with bacterial spores in dry state showed that double jersey offered more effective microbial barrier than the single jersey knitted fabrics respectively the greater thickness of double jersey knitted fabric provide more difficult barrier to bacterial spores to pass. In wet state all knitted fabrics have more effective microbial barrier which could be explained by cellulose fibres swelling. In wet state 97 % CMD/3 % EL single jersey knitted fabric have more effective microbial barrier then cotton double and single jersey knitted fabrics.
