He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Kyoto university Japan in 1992 and 1994 respectively. From 1994 to 1998 he was a Research Associate in the Department of Information Technology Okayama University. Since April 1998 he has been a Research Associate in the Graduate School of Informatics Kyoto University. His current research interests include robust control and control system design via mathematical programming. Yutaka Yamamoto received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Kyoto University Kyoto Japan in 1972 and 1974 respectively and the M.S. and Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Florida in 1976 and 1978 respectively. From 1978 to 1987 he was with Department of Applied Mathematics and Physics Kyoto University and from 1987 to 1997 with Department of Applied System Science. Since 1998 he is a professor at the current position. His current research interests include realization and robust control of distributed parameter systems learning control sampled-data systems and digital signal processing. Dr. Yamamoto is a receipient of the Sawaragi memorial paper award (1985) the Outstanding Paper Award of SICE (1987) Best Author Award of SICE (1990) the George Axelby Outstanding Paper Award of IEEE CSS in 1996 Takeda Paper Prize of SICE in 1997. He is a Fellow of IEEE. He was an associate editor of Automatica. He is currently an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control Systems and Control Letters and Mathematics of Control Signals and Systems. He is a member of the IEEE the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE) and the Institute of Systems Control and Information Engineers.

Masaki Yamakita received Be ME and PhD from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1984 1986 and 1989 respectively. From 1989 he was a Research Associate in the Department of Control Engineering of Tokyo Institute of Technology and from 1993 he was a Lecturer at Tokyohashi University of Technology. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Control and Systems Engineering of Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research interests include robotics learning control robust control and non-linear control. Katsuhisa Furuta was born in Tokyo Japan in 1940. He received his B.S. M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1962 1964 and 1967 respectively. Since 1967 he has been a teaching staff of Tokyo Institute of Technology where he is currently a Professor of Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering. He is a fellow of IEEE and SICE. Yakubovich was born in Novosibirsk Russia in 1926. he entered Moscow University in 1946 and graduated in 1949. he received the Candidate of Science degree (Ph.D.) in 1953 and the Doctor of Science degree in 1959 from Leningrad University. In 1959 he joined the Leningrad University and he has remained since then. He is the author of more than 270 papers and a coauthor of seven books in different areas of applied mathematics and control theory. he has worked in parametric resonance theory in the theory of stability of nonlinear systems and in optimization theory. Dr. Yakubovich has served on many scientific committees and editorial boards. he is a member of several scientific socienties in Russia. He was awarded the Norbert Wiener Prize (1991) a prize from the international editorial company “Nauka” for best publication in its journals (1995) and the IEEE Control Systems Award (1996). Mr. Anderson was instrumental in introducing the collective protection system (CPS) in the U.S. Navy developing the initial forward-fit package for the USS Gunston Hall and the engineering change proposal (ECP) for the USS Wasp. In 1990 he joined the Human Systems Integration (HSI) Division (SEA 55W5) where he was task leader for auxiliary ships. Mr. Dirlik recently completed a master of science program in applied physics at The Johns Hopins University and currently works in the Radar Cross Section and Target Physics Branch of the Signatures Directorate at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Corderoke Division. He has worked on Navy low observable programs since 1990. Stephen Hambric:is a research associate at the Applied Research Laboratory at The Pennsylvania State University. He received his B. S. and M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his D. Sc. in mechnical engineering from the George Washington University.
