Transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative games

In blockchain networks, transactions can be transmitted through channels. The existing transmission methods depend on their routing information. If a node randomly chooses a channel to transmit a transaction, the transmission may be aborted due to insufficient funds(also called balance) or a low transmission rate. To increase the success rate and reduce transmission delay across all transactions, this work proposes a transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative game *** balance, channel states, and transmission probability are fully considered. This work then presents an optimized channel transaction transmission algorithm. First, channel balances are analyzed and suitable channels are selected if their balance is sufficient. Second, a Nash equilibrium point is found by using an iterative sub-gradient method and its related channels are then used to transmit transactions. The proposed method is compared with two state-of-the-art approaches: Silent Whispers and Speedy Murmurs. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves transmission success rate, reduces transmission delay,and effectively decreases transmission overhead in comparison with its two competitive peers.

Detecting design pattern instances in unfamiliar codebases remains a challenging yet essential task for improving software quality and maintainability. Traditional static analysis tools often struggle with the complexity, variability, and lack of explicit annotations that characterize real-world pattern implementations. In this paper, we present a novel approach leveraging Large Language Models to automatically identify design pattern instances across diverse codebases. Our method focuses on recognizing the roles classes play within the pattern instances. By providing clearer insights into software structure and intent, this research aims to support developers, improve comprehension, and streamline tasks such as refactoring, maintenance, and adherence to best practices. Rerailing Automata

In this paper, we introduce rerailing automata for ω-regular languages. They generalize both deterministic parity (DPW) and minimized history-deterministic co-Büchi automata (with transition based acceptance, HdTbcBW) while combining their favorable properties. In particular, rerailing automata can represent arbitrary ω-regular languages while allowing for polynomial-time minimization, just as HdTbcBW do. Since DPW are a special case of rerailing automata, a minimized rerailing automaton is never larger than the smallest deterministic parity automaton for the same language. We also show that rerailing automata can be used as a replacement for deterministic parity automata for the realizability check of open systems. The price to be paid to obtain the useful properties of rerailing automata is that the acceptance condition in such automata refers to the dominating colors along all runs for a given word, where just as in parity automata, the dominating color along a run is the lowest one occurring infinitely often along it. A rerailing automaton accepts those words for which the greatest of the dominating colors along the runs is even. Additionally, rerailing automata guarantee that every prefix of a run for a word can be extended to eventually reach a point from which all runs for the word extending the prefix have the same dominating color, and it is even if and only if the word is in the language of the automaton. We show that these properties together allow characterizing the role of each state in such an automaton in a way that relates it to state combinations in a sequence of co-Büchi automata for the represented language. This characterization forms the basis of the polynomial-time minimization approach in this paper. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Refining high-level requirements into low-level ones is a common task, especially in safety-critical systems engineering. The objective is to describe every important aspect of the high-level requirement in a low-level requirement, ensuring a complete and correct implementation of the system’s features. To this end, standards and regulations for safety-critical systems require reviewing the coverage of high-level requirements by all its low-level requirements to ensure no missing *** challenge of supporting automatic reviews for requirements coverage originates from the distinct levels of abstraction between high-level and low-level requirements, their reliance on natural language, and the often different vocabulary used. The rise of Large Language Models (LLMs), trained on extensive text corpora and capable of contextualizing both high-level and low-level requirements, opens new avenues for addressing this *** paper presents an initial study to explore the performance of LLMs in assessing requirements coverage. We employed GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 to analyze requirements from five publicly accessible data sets, determining their ability to detect if low-level requirements sufficiently address the corresponding high-level requirement. Our findings reveal that GPT-3.5, utilizing a zero-shot prompting strategy augmented with the prompt of explaining, correctly identifies complete coverage in four out of five evaluation data sets. Additionally, it exhibits an impressive 99.7% recall rate in accurately identifying instances where coverage is incomplete due to removing a single low-level requirement across our entire set of evaluation *** CONCEPTS• software and its engineering → software creation and management; Designing software; Requirements analysis.

We consider distributionally robust optimal control of stochastic linear systems under signal temporal logic (STL) chance constraints when the disturbance distribution is unknown. By assuming that the underlying predicate functions are Lipschitz continuous and the noise realizations are drawn from a distribution having a concentration of measure property, we first formulate the underlying chance-constrained control problem as stochastic programming with constraints on expectations and propose a solution using a distributionally robust approach based on the Wasserstein metric. We show that by choosing a proper Wasserstein radius, the original chance-constrained optimization can be satisfied with a user-defined confidence level. A numerical example illustrates the efficacy of the method. © 2024 IEEE.

The aim of this review is to explore the relationship between the architecture of microservices and antisocial behavior. Microservice architecture is a software design approach that involves decomposing a system into small, independent services that can offer benefits such as flexibility and scalability. Expected result is to analyze dataset of statuses, which defines the length of time the status displays on the user’s device. Because people spend time on social networks at every opportunity, even for hours. When combined with the time-valued, we try to gain a deeper understanding of social networks and users behavior. They are forced into this behavior through the feedback loop mechanism of the neurotransmitter Dopamine. Main goal is to understand how to minimize the impact of antisocial behavior on social networks and what exactly makes users spend a disproportionate amount of time on these platforms. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Optimization in ad hoc networks is a highly specialized task because the structure of the network is loosely formed, and each node is independently responsible for its operation. In order to obtain a better result from this solely formed networks this report offer extensive Dynamic Topology Management (DTM) method. Dynamic routing protocols lager lines, dividend balancing, Life-saving administration, guarantee of reliability, cross-layer design, security aspects and the on-time monitoring and discovery of topology changes are the main objectives and steps to be accomplished. Real-time Location monitoring and forest structure discovery are made possible by employing adaptive routing protocols, namely Dynamic Source Routing(DSR) and Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV). Also, the algorithms are capable of making advance adjustments to routing routes and resource allocations drawn from the mobility patterns forecasting which is vital. Load balancing methods, which distribute traffic in a network evenly, enable the system to run efficiently and avoid problems caused by overloading. Algorithms that are energy-efficient and make the best use of energy resources having their topology's optimized are introduced to the streamlined energy distribution systems. These algorithms are focused on the node's energy level. Through fault tolerance techniques which recognize and handle failures in nodes and partitioned networks, connectedness activity is a continuous one. Through QoS perception, the network topology might automatically be tailored to conform to the given quality criteria, thus not restricting the choice for differing applications. The proposed could have defenses against adversary nodes and their potential DDoS attacks which will enhance network protection. Yet another advantage of an architectural style that promotes cross-layer collaboration is enhanced topology management which is the goal around which the functions of various levels of the protocol stack revolve

Services offer companies unique opportunities to expand their portfolio with customer-oriented solutions leading to competitive advantages due to their uniqueness. Nevertheless, companies struggle with the development and successful implementation of industrial services. The main reason for this lies in a lack of suitable development approaches and procedures for industrial services, which primarily originate from product development. Rapid prototyping (RP) aims to enhance service development (SD) by considering the need for highly iterative and fast development with simultaneous involvement of partners and customers. Against that backdrop, this paper explores use-cases, frameworks, and applications of RP to contribute to restructuring industrial SD. Utilizing a systematic literature review (SLR), RP approaches in the various disciplines of engineering are collected. After extracting important features and aggregated dimensions, the authors compare their findings to meta-theoretical foundations of Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) to give an outlook on future research on adapting RP in SD.

Feature models are the de-facto standard in product line engineering to capture the commonalities and variability of systems. However, feature models provide little user guidance during configuration and are unable to represent configuration sequences. A configuration sequence refers to the specific order and combination of features that can be selected when configuring a product line. While mechanisms, such as staged configuration and configuration workflows, exist, we argue that the effort to implement these mechanisms does not pay off for small feature models. This paper motivates the use of configuration sequences for feature models to support better user guidance even for a single feature model. We highlight the need for such user guidance and configuration sequences with a real-world use case. © 2024 ACM.

The development of intelligent solutions for manufacturing is a challenging task. Industry 4.0 platforms can provide a unifying layer here. However, flexible AI support, openness for evolving service and components from different vendors and adaptability to the diverse and changing requirements is required from such a platform to boost IIoT development. For this purpose, our approach combines - as a "power trio"- (1) wide use of Asset Administration Shells (AAS) for targeting device, component and service heterogeneity, with (2) configuration support for dealing with the diverse and changing requirements and (3) code generation for cost-effective creation of customer specific platform instances, AAS and AI-based Industry 4.0 applications on top of the IIP-Ecosphere platform. The platform has been implemented based on vertically scaled AAS and evaluated with two Industry 4.0 demonstrators. In this context, we discuss the experiences we made with our approach. © 2023 IEEE.
