JDC-GCN: joint diversity and consistency graph convolutional network

In real-world scenarios, multi-view data comprises heterogeneous features, with each feature corresponding to a specific view. The objective of multi-view semi-supervised classification is to enhance classification performance by leveraging the inherent complementary and consistent information present within diverse views. Nevertheless, many existing frameworks primarily focus on assigning suitable weights to different views while neglecting the importance of consistent information. In this paper, a multi-view semi-supervised classification framework called joint diversity and consistency graph convolutional network (JDC-GCN) is proposed. Firstly, the structure of graph convolutional network is introduced to the multi-view semi-supervised classification, capable of propagating the label information over the topological structure of multi-view data. Secondly, the proposed JDC-GCN captures the complementary and consistent information from multiple views through two indispensable sub-modules, Diversity-GCN and Consistency-GCN, respectively. Finally, the attention mechanism is leveraged to dynamically adjust the weights of various views, allowing us to measure the significance of heterogeneous features and the consistent graph without introducing additional parameters. Comprehensive experiments on eight multi-view datasets are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the JDC-GCN algorithm. Sensor nodes (SNs) in underwater wireless sensor network (UWSN) may generate massive amounts of data and have computing task requirements. In this paper, mobile edge computing (MEC) is considered in UWSN. A resource allocation strategy in autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV)-aided MEC system is investigated to minimize the total system energy consumption. Specifically, the MEC servers are deployed at both AUV and buoy floating on the sea. By adopting magnetic induction (MI) communication technology, the AUV collects computing tasks from different SNs. Partial tasks are computed at the AUV, while the rest of tasks are offloaded to the buoy. The trajectory of the AUV, the transmitting power of SNs and the AUV, and the offloading ratio coefficient are jointly optimized. The suboptimal solution to the formulated optimization problem is obtained by using a social learning particle swarm optimization (SL-PSO) algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy has a faster convergence speed and better global search capability compared with other baseline schemes. © 2024 IEEE.

Math word problem (MWP) represents a critical research area within reading comprehension, where accurate comprehension of math problem text is crucial for generating math expressions. However, current approaches still grapple with unresolved challenges in grasping the sensitivity of math problem text and delineating distinct roles across various clause types, and enhancing numerical representation. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Numerical Magnitude Aware Multi-Channel Hierarchical Encoding Network (NMA-MHEA) for math expression generation. Firstly, NMA-MHEA implements a multi-channel hierarchical context encoding module to learn context representations at three different channels: intra-clause channel, inter-clause channel, and context-question interaction channel. NMA-MHEA constructs hierarchical constituent-dependency graphs for different levels of sentences and employs a Hierarchical Graph Attention Neural Network (HGAT) to learn syntactic and semantic information within these graphs at the intra-clause and inter-clause channels. NMA-MHEA then refines context clauses using question information at the context-question interaction channel. Secondly, NMA-MHEA designs a number encoding module to enhance the relative magnitude information among numerical values and type information of numerical values. Experimental results on two public benchmark datasets demonstrate that NMA-MHEA outperforms other state-of-the-art models. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Different from the traditional warehousing system, in the multi-AGV warehouse scheduling control system, the constraints of poor connectivity of the conveying track have led to the emergence of urgent problems such as vehicle conflicts in the task, low efficiency of multitasking concurrency, difficulty of delineating the conditions for entering the transporting area and so on. This paper proposes a design of multi-AGV warehouse intelligent scheduling optimized control system, which takes multitask scheduling research as an entry point, designs the warehouse layout and vehicle operation rules assumptions and modeling, studies the scheduling solution of Monorail Vehicles in multiple tasks, designs a scheduling optimization method based on the algorithm of Time Window, solves conflicts between key process and operation task process and optimize the scheduling, so as to effectively enhance the efficient scheduling capability of multi-AGV warehouse intelligent scheduling optimized control system. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

HRPose: Real-Time High-Resolution 6D Pose Estimation Network Using Knowledge Distillation

Real-time six degrees-of-freedom(6D)object pose estimation is essential for many real-world applications, such as robotic grasping and augmented reality. To achieve an accurate object pose estimation from RGB images in real-time, we propose an effective and lightweight model, namely high-resolution 6D pose estimation network(HRPose). We adopt the efficient and small HRNetV2-W18 as a feature extractor to reduce computational burdens while generating accurate 6D poses. With only 33% of the model size and lower computational costs, our HRPose achieves comparable performance compared with state-of-the-art models. Moreover, by transferring knowledge from a large model to our proposed HRPose through output and feature-similarity distillations, the performance of our HRPose is improved in effectiveness and efficiency. Numerical experiments on the widely-used benchmark LINEMOD demonstrate the superiority of our proposed HRPose against state-of-the-art methods.

Video archives play a crucial role in various industries, from media and entertainment to security and surveillance. Managing these archives efficiently and securely is a growing challenge due to the increasing volume of video data being generated. In this paper, a video archive management method is presented to solve security and sensibility of the video files on blockchain. By encrypting video files and generating cryptographic hashes, the presented method can protect the integrity of the data and prevent unauthorized modifications. The method based on blockchain technology offers a compelling solution to the challenges faced in managing video archives. By combining the inherent security and transparency of blockchain with innovative data management algorithms, organizations can ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of their video archives. © 2024 SPIE.

IDENTIFYMIX: AN EFFICIENT TWO-STAGE LEARNING APPROACH TO COMBATING LABEL NOISE

Deep neural networks require correct label annotation during supervised learning. It is inevitable, however, that some labels are noisy during the labeling process. A deep neural network retains incorrect labels during training, resulting in a degradation of performance. Therefore, it is essential to identify samples with potentially correct labels. In state-of-the-art methods, small-loss samples are chosen for subsequent training through a sample selection strategy. Howerver, it typically ignores the imbalance in noise ratios between mini-batches when performing sample selection within each minibatch. Further, numerous valuable samples with high losses are discarded, which adversely affects the generalization performance of the model, particularly under conditions of high noise ratios. To this end, this paper proposes IdentifyMix, an effective two-stage learning approach for noisy robust learning that combines an unique sample selection strategy and the semi-supervised learning technique. By observing how the dynamics of network training are changing, AUM (Area Under the Margin) provides a criterion that is applied in this research to identify mislabeled data. Moreover, by combining semi-supervised learning with contrastive learning and data augmentation, it is possible to extract more useful information from mislabeled samples. Experiments on several synthetic and real-world noise benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of IdentifyMix compared with state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 Journal of Applied and Numerical Optimization.
