The internet of things （loT） attracts great interest in many application domains concerned with monitoring and ：ontrol of physical phenomena. However, application devel- opment is still one of the main hurdles to a wide adoption of IoT technology. Application development is done at a low level, very close to the operating system and requires pro- grammers to focus on low-level system issues. The under- lying APIs can be very complicated and the amount of data collected can be huge. This can be very hard to deal with as a developer. In this paper, we present a runtime model based approach to IoT application development. First, the manage- ability of sensor devices is abstracted as runtime models that are automatically connected with the corresponding systems. Second, a customized model is constructed according to a personalized application scenario and the synchronization be- tween the customized model and sensor device runtime mod- els is ensured through model transformation. Thus, all the application logic can be carried out by executing programs on the customized model. An experiment on a real-world ap- plication scenario demonstrates the feasibility, effectiveness, and benefits of the new approach to IoT application develop- ment.

With the rapid development of machine learning, it has been widely used in many industries and fields to solve problems. The application of machine learning to the classification of network traffic is also a new research direction. However, the machine learning methods used in the past cannot classify traffic data according to application types. In this paper, a method of random forest is proposed for traffic classification and identification. As a new idea of network construction, SDN separates the data plane from the control plane. The data layer collects the whole network state information, and the control layer realizes the centralized control of the network. The internal structure of random forest is actually composed of many decision trees. While the decision tree itself has been well represented in the field of traffic classification, the random forest model further improve the efficiency of classification on the basis of the decision tree. By effectively capturing the relevant characteristics of the original data set and training the random forest classification model, we can find through experiments that the classification of network traffic using random forest has obvious advantages in the accuracy of classification as well as the efficiency and stability of processing large-scale data sets.

The effective prediction of housing prices is of great significance to buyers and real estate developers. However, most existing traditional approaches are inefficient and low accuracy. In this paper, we forecast the growth rate of house prices in different levels of cities of China by using Dynamic Model Averaging and Dynamic Model Selection, which allows both parameters as well as forecasting model rapid change. In addition, some evidence show that Internet search indexes could help model to improve prediction accuracy, so we have introduce Internet search indexes by using some key words under the background of big data in recent years. Under the criteria of MAFE, MSFE and MLPL, the results of model forecast performance indicate that DMA and DMS model achieve significantly forecasting accuracy specifically forgetting factors α = λ = 0.95.

With the continuous deepening of international anti-terrorism movement,the anti-terrorism has entered a new stage,and it is facing new *** of the new challenges is to extract useful and valuable information from massive data *** anti-terrorism system model based on local shallow information is imperfect,which is not conducive to obtaining accurate prediction *** shortcomings of existing research are the lack of comprehensive analysis and deeper mining of *** order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the present anti-terrorism system,we propose an effective method for risk assessment and prediction based on machine learning by using Global Terrorism Database(GTD).There are four basic steps:first,we reduce the data dimension through correlation calculation and Singular Value Decomposition(SVD),then,the function is established to rank the harmfulness of terrorist attacks;second,the cascaded network with attention mechanism is used to predict suspects;third,k-means is used to cluster the regions of terrorist attacks,and then we establish a generalized linear regression model to predict the situation of terrorist *** verify the feasibility of the model by comparing with the real *** experimental results show that the proposed method can analyze and predict the information related to terrorist attacks comprehensively and accurately.

As a new computing paradigm, cloud computing is receiving considerable attention in both industry and academia. Task scheduling plays an important role in large-scale distributed systems. However, most previous work only consider cost or makespan as optimized objective for cloud computing. In this paper, we propose a soft real-time task scheduling algorithm based on particle swarm optimization approach for cloud computing. The optimized objectives include not only cost and makespan, but also deadline missing ratio and load balancing degree. In addition, to improve resource utilization and maximize the profit of cloud service provider, a utility function is employed to allocate tasks to machines with high performance. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm can effectively minimize deadline missing ratio, maximize the profit of cloud service provider and achieve better load balancing com- pared with baseline algorithms. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

The echo state network introduces a large and sparse reservoir to replace the hidden layer of the traditional recurrent neural network, which can solve the gradient-based problem of most recurrent neural networks in the training process. However, there may be an ill-posed problem when the least square method is used to calculate the output weight. In this paper, we proposed an echo state network based on L0 norm regularization. The main idea is to limit the number of output connections to compute the output effectively by removing unimportant ones. The simulation results of the chaotic time series prediction show the effectiveness of the proposed model. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Air quality is widely concerned by the governments and people. To save cost, air quality monitoring stations are deployed at only a few locations, and the stations are actuated at partial time. Therefore, it is necessary to study how to actively collect a subset of air quality data to maximize the estimation accuracy of air quality at other locations and time. In order to solve this challenge, we propose the active variational adversarial model (AVAM) that selects the most valuable unlabeled samples through two iterative phases of active learning. In the first phase of our model, a candidate set with unlabeled samples is selected through traditional active learning. In the second phase, variational auto-encoder (VAE) is used to obtain the compressed representation of the candidate set and the training set with labeled samples, then a discriminator based on three-layer neural network is trained from the compressed representation. Finally the discriminator can output the most valuable unlabeled samples from the candidate set. The experimental results show that the AVAM proposed in this paper is superior to active learning models with the first or second phase only. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Clustering algorithms aim at gathering similar data points from a dataset in an unsupervised manner. Although the batch clustering algorithms have relatively high accuracy, they cannot make use of the dynamic clustering results efficiently. The requirement of using the whole dataset in calculation results in the problems of resource waste and high time cost. On the contrary, incremental clustering only needs to update the varied part of a model upon the arrival of new data, which makes it unnecessary to recluster the whole data all the time. The feature is very suitable for the streaming data process, but it decreases the accuracy of the algorithms and cannot satisfy the low latency requirement of real-time data processing. In response to this problem, the paper proposes a novel unified batch and streaming clustering model (UBSCM) based on streaming computation, which includes a streaming cluster feature updating mechanism (SCFUM). The Flink framework is used to implement a new streaming KMeans algorithm based on UBSCM (KMeansUBSP). The experiments on the real-world datasets validate that the new streaming KMeans algorithm is effective in clustering the batch and streaming data in a unified manner. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Sparse Representation-based Classification (SRC), which has achieved good performance in face recognition and other image classification, has been successfully extended to time series classification in recent years. As a generalization of the nearest subspace classifier, the performance of SRC depends on a rich set of training samples for each class, which can span as many variations of each class as possible under testing conditions. However, due to the difficulty of sample collection, many important applications can only provide a few or even a single sample for each class, which inevitably affects the performance of SRC. To address the problem of insufficient training samples, ESRC (Extended SRC) was proposed to put some samples that reflect the variations within the class into the dictionary, to obtain better generalization ability than SRC for under-sampled face recognition. In this paper, a new approach IESRC (Improved extend sparse representation based classification) is developed by splitting the dictionary into an original dictionary and auxiliary dictionary. The proposed model was first evaluated in 30 baseline data sets in the University of California, Riverside time series classification archive and then applied to classify the effects of aerobic exercise intervention in 24 young hypertensive patients based on the time series of the cardiopulmonary exercise test. Experimental results show that the proposed model can achieve better performance than SRC and ESRC in time series classification. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The local community detection (LCD) method can discover the local community structure in which the seed node is located. Compared with global community detection, local community detection is characterized by its low cost and high efficiency. However, most existing LCD methods only return a non-overlapping community. Individuals in the real world may participate in multiple communities, which can only be discovered by using overlapping local community detection methods. In this study, an overlapping local community detection algorithm based on modularity and node transitivity. First, the scope and structure information of the overlapping communities are obtained according to the node transitivity. Second, NMF is used to obtain the number of overlapping communities. Finally, the local modularity density based on edge weights is used to refine the detected local communities. The experimental results validate the high performance of our method to the other method in comparison. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
